View Full Details of Lincoln House Care HomeMy mother was recently discharged from hospital and we were lucky enough to get her directly into Lincoln House for the care that she needed. It has only been a short time that she has been a resident at Lincoln House but I cannot praise the team there enough, in particular the head nurse. If I could give 10 stars I would. It was all very short notice getting Mum in and they did everything possible to make the transfer run as smoothly as possible. The care they give my mother is nothing less than what I could wish for. Within 24 hrs they had transformed her room to make it so homely for her. Sadly my mother isn't going to get better but since leaving hospital she has looked so much better and with the encouragement of the team there she is already participating in activities that I never thought possible when she was hospitalised. They treat every resident as an individual and do everything possible to meet their needs.
The activity staff and carers are lovely. The activity staff keep the residents active and engaged, they show genuine care for the residents. The carers, who have a hard time as there always seems to be not enough staff to go round, are very caring and patient. The home is friendly and homely but unfortunately I feel that the staff always appear to be under pressure, whether that's because of poor management or a lack of staff members I'm unsure. We did look at other care homes for my aunt and felt Lincoln House was the best one for her and still believe this is true, even with the few concerns we have.
My nan is in Lincoln House and has been there for over a year and half now. The treatment and care she is receiving could not be better, excellent indeed. My nan is also very happy and feels very comfy and at home.
My mother has been a resident of Lincoln House since January 2023. She is cared for by the nursing team. As a family, we have been happy with the care provided. The staff have been excellent, caring and very patient through some very difficult times. Lincoln House has been able to support and care for my mother when other care homes have failed.
This is about the third or fourth care home I have had to stay in and this one I cannot find fault in. It reflects in my ratings for value for money.
I can’t put into words how much respite care at Lincoln House has changed our lives. It took a trip to the hospital and my Dad's doctor telling him he should not be living on his own for Dad to move in with us two years ago. Recently, after feeling unwell myself, my doctor suggested respite care. It was something we had not considered. When the manager showed us around it felt very homely, the residents looked happy and cared for and the staff were lovely. I felt immense relief after the visit. Dad’s first stay was in February. He was happy when we collected him and he told us he had enjoyed the company of the staff who were all lovely. On his second stay in April, the staff encouraged Dad to try the activities (to meet other residents). He took great delight in telling us all about the activities he had been doing and the people he had spent time with. He’d been to activities every day. More than anything my Dad was the happiest I have seen him for a very long time.
Moving a loved one away from the familial home can be difficult. Especially if they have decades of vested interests in the local or are sadly unaware of their care requirements. It's a big deal. It's a big move. And it is sadly one that all too many of us are having to make to ensure the future safety and well-being of our closest. Step into the fray here: Lincoln House. Home from home? It is home. With exceptionally attentive staff and welcoming receptions, the place feels more like a hotel. The level of care provided has seen my close relative surpass all medical expectations and actually thrive in the face of sheer adversity. I genuinely cannot fathom any further intervention that would enable their stay to be enhanced. They have the best staff. On hand and on call 24/7. Nothing is too much trouble and they are both a credit to themselves, a credit to Castlemeadow Care Group, and the very face of what senior care should look like in this country. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude.
Was pleasantly surprised when husband first arrived. Reception and admin staff superb, met by clinical lead nurse, excellent. Husband needed time to settle and needed support from the staff which he initially received. Towards the end of his stay it deteriorated due to him being moved rooms, a room at the front of the home where footfall was busy past his room which he enjoyed to the back of the home where residents are more independent and don’t require so much support. The people he generally saw were the staff smoking and vaping outside his window, disgusting and should not be seen by resident or visitors. I found out the manager had banned staff smoking in that area but it still happened and she was one of them. Home promotes hydration stations, shame it’s not carried out more frequently, ensuring residents are hydrated properly. Husband was told he was moving homes by the manager before it was even confirmed, this should not have happened. Food is average, portion control needs to be improved.
Mum has only been at Lincoln House for a month but the difference in standards between here and her last nursing home are poles apart! Staff work together as a team to help residents enjoy life at Lincoln House. A lovely, caring nursing home. Thank you all so much.
Mum has settled in so well and is very happy. As her daughter it's a pleasure to see her like this, especially doing activities and enjoying them. The staff are so attentive and my family and I know she's in very caring, capable hands. Thank you.
My mother has been in Lincoln House since the 26th of May 2023 and our whole family is delighted by the thoughtful care given to her by the staff.
We have nothing but praise for all the staff and the support they have given us as a family. They have not only made a difference to an old lady who has gone from being grumpy to being happy and contended, and everyone has made a difference by achieving this for the whole family and allowing me to start my relationship with my mother. Please thank all the staff members for their good work and support.
You do a great job looking after mum and she says she is very happy to live here and I have no worries about anything at all. Thank you.
This is such a lovely place to live I am so happy to be here.
Lincoln House Care Home in Swanton Morley is a very lovely welcoming place for my father and for us and his relatives. The staff are always friendly and kind and I believe any father is happy here. The care is excellent and carried out very sympathetic at least. I believe the food is excellent and the residents have plenty of activities to occupy them if they wish.
After a difficult and worrying few years for the family caring for mum at home she was admitted to the care of Lincoln House Care Home in March, following a hospital stay. We had been anxious about her move into care but I can honestly say that the wonderful staff at Lincoln House have made it very stress-free for us. Mum has settled in well and is enjoying life there. Rather than spending long days on her own she is now taking part in the many activities and enjoying being with the other residents. She is well cared for and enjoys the wonderful home-cooked meals. She has dementia which makes it hard for her to communicate but the staff have shown kindness and patience in making sure her needs are met. Now we can relax knowing she is safe and happy. Thank you so much to everyone there.
Very genuine people. The staff are very helpful. Overall very caring. Cleanliness very good no nasty smells. Plenty of parking and there is a bus service to the home.
I have only been here for a few weeks but feel much more secure and safe. Very happy with everything so far.
Mum arrived just over two weeks ago when it became apparent that she couldn't return home after being in hospital with urosepsis. The staff have been so kind in helping Mum settle in and have given the family much support and reassurance. Her dementia makes it hard for her to interact at times, but everyone tries hard to include her and help her to integrate with other residents. We are so happy with our choice of Lincoln House.
It is always a pleasure to visit my brother, although it's hard to catch him when he's busy, either making things, being entertained or watching a film. The staff are always wonderful, and I am so pleased that my brother received a place here. I know he is well looked after.
