View Full Details of Barchester Castle Park Care HomeVery happy with the care and dignity given to my friend. She seems happy and well cared for in the home. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help when I visit.
We are, as always, very pleased with the quality and professionalism of the care received. The management and staff go above and beyond to treat my wife with dignity and care.
Excellent attention at all times. Wonderful staff, nothing is too much trouble.
My son receives all the care and attention he needs with the greatest respect and love. I cannot praise the staff enough, it gives me security and confidence in everything they do.
Everyone at Castle Park Care Home can never do enough for my sister. Girls are so polite and friendly, always have a smile on my face knowing my sister is well looked after so I don't have to worry.
My brother has complex needs but these are all met and exceeded by the wonderful staff at Barchester Castle Park Care Home. The activities are many and varied, including an upcoming trip to the theatre and previously, trips to support our local rugby league team. Cannot praise the staff enough in their approach and understanding of my brother's appalling sense of humour!
The staff, be they nurses or carers, were not trained for autonomic dysreflexia and the simple lack of knowledge can lead to death (reader please research). Lack of continuity in daily care. Food is slop and boring. Prescriptions - items (e.g. night bags) can be taken for others leaving a shortage - dangerous for a paraplegic to not be spotlessly clean. The list is endless.
My brother lived in Barchester Castle Park Care Home for twenty-one years and was cared for very well by all the staff. I wanted to pay particular attention to how the last three months of his life were, he was cared for in an excellent manner and loved by the staff. I would not have wanted him anywhere else and I will always be eternally grateful.
Our son had an assessment for a new electric wheelchair, the staff tried for over 3/4 hours to get a wheelchair taxi for 8:15am, none available, it was their turn for the "home's" minibus a licenced driver was on shift, the management offered to take him as apps are hard to get, and would be a long time for another app, so grateful - gone that extra mile, thank you so much.
My brother had an important appointment this morning and there were no wheelchairs/taxis available, but they have a bus that they use for outings, and one of the ladies made herself available to take my brother and our parents to the appointment. We really appreciate it and all that you do for him. Thank you very much.
My mother-in-law wasn't in a good place with her problem before she started to live at Castle Park. She had both a leg amputated and the doctors said she won't live long. From her staying at Castle Park, the infection in her leg is getting a lot better. My mother-in-law is almost back to herself. The care she receives is the most amazing. Thank you to every staff member in Castle Park.
I go to the home to see my son and I see the staff working, noone stops. Then go out with the resident to shop. They have done more for my son than the hospital did. I am pleased with the staff they are good.
I think Barchester Castle Park Care Home is very well-run and it is very well-managed, also well staffed. Since my daughter moved to Castle Park, she has been well looked after and is very happy being there. As I say to other people, it's not home from home but your loved one will be well looked after.
Castle Park has been a wonderful place to stay for respite care for my daughter. She is always very happy to go, and everyone makes a fuss of her and says "hello, glad to see you back". From the manager to the nurses and care staff and cleaners - everyone is so helpful. Always willing to listen and help wherever they can. Nothing is too much trouble, which makes it easier for me. The activities team are first class. Keep up the good work Castle Park.
I was very worried about my brother going away from the family home where I had kept him as safe as I could for nine years. However, the management at Barchester Castle Park Care Home were reassuring and he settled well before he died which means a great deal to me.
Staff are always helpful, recently we had a bereavement and a carer took my sister to the funeral of our brother and stayed all day. Nothing was too much trouble for the carer, her attention to my sister was outstanding. This carer was a top-notch girl and such a credit to Barchester Castle Park Care Home. For someone so young her attention and empathy amazed me and my family.
Really happy with the care and service my dad receives! I have a settled mind knowing he is taken care of I can call and visit whenever I want and I am always happy when I come to see my dad looking well.
Our son has been going to Castle Park for respite for a few months now. He always enjoys his stay and looks forward to his next stay. The staff and management are always helpful if we have a query. We had been looking for somewhere that our son likes as he is our main priority. Finally, we have somewhere that we are happy to take him to, and he is very happy to go. I have just asked him what he likes about Castle Park, and he said the staff spoil him, and the food is fantastic.
The service users who I care for came here for respite after a stay in hospital. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. The standard of care is good, with plenty of activities planned for service users.
My husband moved from another home and settled extremely well. I feel this is down to the lovely caring staff who welcomed him and have made his stay homely and comfortable. I also feel they have made me feel welcome and reassured.
