Find staff very helpful, always ready to help residents overall very good.
Pleasantly surprised. I previously had both parents in this home. My mother died there eighteen months ago. Although she had good relationships with staff, her care left much to be desired. I continue to visit an old friend and was there yesterday. What a difference! The staff were visible and interacting with residents. They were polite and responsive. The residents were clean, tidy and appropriately dressed, all wearing slippers, hair combed and looking well cared for. The atmosphere was positive. It appears that much effort has been made to achieve an overall improvement and this was very evident. Well done.
This place is an absolute disgrace. It stinks, everything goes missing, the bedding has holes in it. Poo smeared plates in the visitor lounge, lost shoes, spectacles, and hearing aid. Some of the staff are nice but the bosses are arrogant. They have spent money on expensive cars and obviously as little as possible elsewhere.
Norman Hudson is a service that looks after very poorly and confused people some who have severe dementia. The staff do an amazing job which is not always recognised and people don't always get to see the hard work that is put in and all the things they have to deal with on a day to day basis. I could not do this job myself and they deserve all the praise they can get for all of the hard work that they do. The care and love they provide is second to none and should be recognised. thank you.
The care my mum received was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. I had weekly meetings with the manager and head of care. My mum could be a little firecracker but the staff managed her, the team does an amazing job caring for difficult residents.
Dad lived at Norman Hudson from 2015 until we sadly lost him due to the dementia in April. We were always truly amazed by how hard the staff worked and how much love they showed all the residents - they were a second family to Dad. The home has a very happy atmosphere. They always looked after me, my Mum and my sisters as well and were very supportive. They treated Dad's last days with such love and made an extremely difficult time as easy as possible. Thank you to everyone at Norman Hudson.
