View Full Details of Rossmere Park Care CentreMy father resided here for a short time prior to his death. We wish he had been able to experience the kind, considerate and compassionate care provided by the wonderful team of staff at Rossmere Park for longer. Every member of staff went the extra mile to treat dad with dignity, respect and kindness. The warmth and compassion extended to his end of life and aftercare. The staff took time to learn about him, the person, his life and his family. The leadership sets very high standards which are upheld by all the staff. The facility was spotless, the staff responsive to my dad's needs and professionalism second to none. He was safe and in the very best of hands. We have fond memories of amazing staff working tirelessly to make the resident's day as good as it can be. We will be forever in their debt. He (and us) received the very best there is to offer in our time of greatest need. A huge thank you to the wonderful people (you know who you are) who helped my dad on his final journey.
Mum was evicted from the care home this week. Wouldn't let her return after discharge from the hospital. Very angry as the home didn't have the decency or professionalism to inform me by writing, email, phone call, or anything. If it wasn't for mum's representative I still wouldn't know. Mum has dementia and needed stability for a short time after discharge. Very sad that the care home wouldn't allow mum to recuperate in surroundings she knew...and still no explanation why.
My father was moved from hospital into Rossmere Park Care Centre early this year, where he remains today. The care is very good, the rooms are good, nursing care good and the home is continually trying new things to engage the residents. It wasn't my choice that my father went into care it was a necessity however I think this home is very good and I know my father is safe and well cared for. I think what makes this care home so good is the staff - they are marvellous.
My father was admitted into Rossmere Park in early January from hospital. He was 85 years old with several serious health problems including pancreatic cancer, atrial fibrillation, stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysm and necrotic pressure sores. From the outset, he was treated with kindness, compassion and respect by the care and nursing staff. Staff responded promptly to any medical concerns that arose, calling out GP where necessary. As his health deteriorated, the appropriate end of life medication was given. The manager came in to see him even on her day off to ensure that he had the drugs necessary to keep him comfortable. An extra bed was installed in his room so that I could stay with him at night and I was offered regular meals during my stay there. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rossmere Park as a care/nursing home.
I can sleep at night knowing my niece is well looked after knowing she is being cared for by an excellent team. The home has a homely atmosphere and the bedrooms are very spacious I couldn't think of a better place to live I would highly recommend this home.
I would like to acknowledge all the colleagues that work in Rossmere. I have been so impressed with how welcoming they have been to both my brother and I. Sometimes we don't take time to mention the stars that work in different work environments. The receptionists are great at what they do. Never once let me in without a fab greeting and looked after our needs brilliantly. The specialist cancer nurse - thank you for looking after my brother. I know it can be challenging at times but the professional that you are shines through every day. The night nurse - when I come in on an evening you help me to be calm, you are an amazing listener and understand any concerns that I have and help me to formulate a plan to move forward positively. The cleaning staff - appreciate all the work you do to keep the room clean and tidy. Love our little chats - they keep me going. Thanks, everyone.
The staff here are phenomenal. Dad was brought here from hospital and I can honestly say that each and every member of staff are so caring towards him. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients. Mam stays with Dad most nights and they make sure she is looked after as well. You could not find a better place to have your loved ones stay. Do not hesitate to have your family here you can be sure they will be well catered for.
