View Full Details of Woodlands Care CentreMy sister and myself cannot thank the staff enough for their care and kindness shown to our Mum over the last 12 months. We were always welcome at any time to visit Mum and it did feel like her home. I would highly recommend Woodlands to anyone, such lovely, caring outstanding staff.
Woodlands Care Home was the best choice for my mum who on leaving hospital (after a 5-week stay) needed a couple of weeks respite care and some help rebuilding her confidence before returning to her own home to be cared for. From day one Mum received the best professional care by the friendly staff who looked after her, nothing was ever too much trouble. When I visited there was always staff around chatting and attending to residents, they were always very kind and respectful. Mum saw a GP from her surgery weekly, had her hair done and saw the chiropodist, all very important to getting her back on her feet. As it was Christmas time the residents had a party, Mum joined in, singing on the mic, the staff told me she had a beautiful voice. The biggest focus in the home is supporting everyone's individual needs in a "family" way and Woodlands certainly does that.
The genuine care and affection from all the staff at Woodlands left us assured that Dad was safe and connected to the people around him. There is a real family atmosphere between the staff, residents and their relatives. It was always relaxed, personal and welcoming whenever we visited. We were always kept informed on everything that was going on and were impressed at the way all of Dad's medical and care needs were professionally handled. It's a lovely home.
I would like to thank all the amazing staff who looked after my mum over the last 3 months. We were very anxious about Mum going into a care home, but we didn't need to worry once we had met such wonderful staff. Mum was looked after, cared for and loved, in such a special way and always made the family feel welcome. We would not hesitate to recommend Woodlands to anyone.
I simply cannot fault the level of care that Nan received whilst staying at Woodlands. It was amazing, they really went above and beyond. The staff made her feel like part of the family, they were attentive and supportive, cared and loved her. Whenever I visited they always made me feel very welcome, answered any questions and provided support to my family during what was such a difficult time for us all, including Nan. I would highly recommend Woodlands to anyone who is looking for a care home for their loved one.
I would like to thank all the staff at Woodlands for looking after my mum. Over the last couple of years, they have been amazing, her care has been second to none. My mum was always content and happy and was made to feel at home and part of the Woodlands family. I was always made welcome anytime which I think is key to any good home. I would recommend Woodlands highly.
Woodlands provided top-class care for my Grandmother. I would visit monthly, staff would know who I was and were friendly and approachable. The staff showed care and compassion to my grandmother who spoke very highly of them and most importantly felt like part of a family. The centre provided extra activities and entertainment that my grandmother enjoyed such as music and nail painting, adding a sense of normality to my grandmother's routine. As an organisation, they took every step possible to ensure that visits could continue during restrictions in COVID. I would highly recommend it. They also provided my mother with advice in relation to the ongoing situation with my grandmother which was both expert and welcomed.
Woodlands provided exceptional care for my nan. Staff are excellent and friendly. Nan was well looked after, with regular visits from staff to see if she needed anything. During Covid they went above and beyond to make visits possible. Staff treat residents like family which creates a nice environment.
We visited Nan once a month. My wife and I took our daughter from being a newborn to when she was almost 2. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always remembering who we were. It meant so much to my Nan that the staff would have conversations about us, and ask for updates on my daughter. This was so special to Nan, the care staff had for the things that were so precious to her.
My mum was a resident at Woodlands for nearly two years during which time she received outstanding care from a team of outstanding people. I could not have asked for more. I visited daily and spent many hours observing staff interacting with all residents in a caring and respectful manner with a real sense of affection. They loved mum like we loved her. They took time to ensure she was comfortable and her needs were being met. Nothing was too much trouble. Care was delivered in a relaxed way, with a sense of humour and ready smiles. Her family and friends were all welcomed as part of the Woodlands family. Mum's health was closely observed with changes noted and reported immediately. I never worried that she would be neglected or ignored but always felt she was everyone's top priority, as important to the staff as she was to me. Her concerns were listened to, acted upon and resolved. During her last days, I was welcomed into the home, looked after and shown so much love. Thank you.

I have never seen my mother-in-law so happy, she is always full of praise for the staff. She is always telling us on our visits how well she gets looked after etc, how she loves the food and the activities and everyone that works there. I have noticed their affection on my visits. The administration staff, carers and nurses are a credit to their profession and quick to let us know about any problems. It gives us peace of mind knowing she is happy and safe in a loving environment.
A very caring and compassionate environment. All the care staff (and office staff) treat residents with love, care, and dignity. My aunt settled really well here and the obvious love and attention with which she is treated is an absolute joy to see. The home has coped very well with the challenges of Covid-19.
