View Full Details of Bingley WingfieldMy aunt was very well looked after during the twenty-two months she was at Bingley Wingfield before she passed away. The staff were dedicated and hardworking and I had a very positive experience. The building would benefit from updating but the care given to the residents was very good.
I was so relieved when my dad settled into Bingley Wingfield because everyone was so supportive of both my dad and myself during his stay. I felt I could rest easy knowing he was being cared for and looked after by the team. Everyone was professional, friendly and responded promptly to all my worries, concerns and general questions at every stage of his care. Do not be put off by what some people might think is a dated building - the important thing was the people and the care that was given! I have a bit of a background in the 'caring field' and previous experience of my mum also needing support in a different care home. On that basis alone, I would heartily recommend Bingley Wingfield to anyone who wants to know their loved one is being cared for. Thank you!
My husband is very happy and loves all the staff who always have kind words to say to him and have a bit of banter with him which he loves. All the staff are nice to me and helpful. He is happy and content which makes me happy and content.
I find the staff very kind and they care about the people in the home. They are always very willing to help in any way they can. My mother tells me how nice they are and how they look after her. I am pleased she is there because my mind is at rest knowing she is being well looked after.
Everybody talks to Dad from the laundry to management. He has his bad day but on the whole loves it at Bingley Wingfield. The staff are only to happy to help and keep us updated with what he's been up to. The staff are lovely with us too, it's a big happy family.
The staff are very helpful, friendly and responsive to requests for help with my husband. I would recommend the home to anyone. Meals are lovely, according to my husband who goes regularly to the home for respite.
Visited at Christmas to see a friend. The atmosphere was great. The activity coordinator was excellent. Well-organised.
A well-run care home. Dad has all his needs met and is well cared for by staff.
The staff at Wingfield, have all been invaluable in looking after my dad - they really are a credit to the home. Everyone was welcoming and caring, not just to him, but the whole family too, which helped immensely in difficult times. The home itself is beautiful and deserves to be looked after - perhaps the new carpet/flooring could be fast-tracked to help the staff do their job more effectively. The grounds are beautiful too - it was so lovely to see people sitting out - again this should happen more often!
This is a home run by staff who take their jobs seriously and have great compassion for their residents. They have a friendly attitude towards them and also to their visitors. There is a lounge room for them to sit and walk around but can go to their little places to sit and get away from it all. The dementia residents - who are safe - mingle around like the other people - which is not always in other homes. A lady comes four days a week for entertainment, she does crafts, organises musical afternoons etc and is greatly appreciated. The other requirements are good and I am grateful my husband is staying in this good home.
Dad has only been in the care home for a short time, but his needs were immediately assessed and acted upon. The staff are friendly and caring and made us feel welcome and that our own concerns are genuine and welcome. They have tried a variety of foods as Dad is refusing to eat a small amount - likewise, drinks. Management have been very accomodating. I feel that Dad is safe at Wingfield.
Having visited for some months on a weekly basis about 30 mins per visit. I have found the staff welcoming and helpful. The building and facilities appear well maintained and the care given seems to be of a very high standard. As an occasional visitor, I cannot fault Wingfields.
I find Wingfield very friendly and very helpful. They have given my husband the best care.
I think the staff are wonderful and very helpful.
Very friendly, welcoming staff supportive and helpful for my sister.
On my visit yesterday I waited 10 minutes to be let in after ringing 3 times. I eventually phoned and was admitted by the manager. My husband was waiting in the visitors room downstairs for someone to bring down my uncle no one came after 25 mins I took him down myself. My auntie buzzed 3 times for help while I was there and no one came. Both of them (they share a room) were in dirty clothes, stained and smelly but I do not know who's responsibility this is.
Difficult to comment on most issues as we have only spent 30 minutes in two rooms and can't observe much. Communication is very poor. If the phone is answered, which it usually isn't, you rarely speak to the person you need. They never ring back. I wanted to speak to the manager about my mother's four falls and she has ignored this.
Due to the restrictions on visiting I am not sure about treatment to my wife. I do think that the management is lacking in their communication skills as we receive none whatsoever. I have on a few occasions asked for her to be seen by a physio to no avail. The last conversation my daughter had was that she was 3rd in line. This was over a month since.
The care home seems to fit Mum very well.
People are very kind, well looked after and kept busy. I like to keep busy.
