View Full Details of Courtfield LodgeMy wife is currently in full-time care at Courtfield Lodge. The management and staff are so helpful and caring. They are providing for all of my wife's needs. Coping with dementia is very hard indeed on myself and family, but at Courtfield Lodge, they are all so professional in attending to my wife's needs. Staff constantly monitor patients from sleeping, eating and activities etc. My wife is in a safe environment being cared for by loving, caring and professional staff and management. Entertainment each week, singing and dancing, hairdresser. Thanks to all at Courtfield Lodge for your care provided to my wife.
My precious parents needed to go into residential care. After visiting several care homes in the locality, I chose Courtfield Lodge because of the friendly and professional greeting I was met with. The manager came out to visit mum and dad and couldn't have been nicer with them. He really did listen to us and understand mum and dad's needs and wants. The manager provided two rooms, one as a lounge and one as a bedroom. The little set up when we arrived couldn't have been nicer. It was a real home from home with all mum and dad's belongings set up perfectly. As a family, we couldn't have been happier. We have been blown away. The staff were incredibly welcoming and all made the difficult transition as smooth as it could be. Courtfield have bent over backwards for us. The staff are all so kind and caring. There is a weekly programme of activities to stimulate residents and promote independence. The food looks good and my parents are delighted with the whole experience. Thank you all.
After being very ill, the staff and management have given me the utmost care, building my strength and confidence. Staying here makes me feel safe and enabled me to progress with my mobility. I recently had a relapse and if it had not been the diligence of the staff and professionalism, I don't think I would be alive today.
Mum has been a resident for approximately 18 months. During this time I can honestly say that the care she has received has been excellent. The senior carers and all teh staff on the 1st floor are friendly, welcoming and treat Mum with dignity at all times. They know my mum's little quirks and treat her as an individual rather than simply another resident. Her room is always kept clean and Mum always looks well turned out. A huge thank you to all the staff, cleaners, admin team and the management.
After moving Mum from another care home I've come to realise that strong management and genuinely kind carers are key to Mum's happiness and our peace of mind. Courtfield has this and more so we are very pleased with their care for Mum.
Deciding on the care home option, let alone finding a good one, was very stressful for us. However, what a great decision it was to choose Courtfield Lodge! Accommodation: clean, spacious and bright rooms with newly refitted en-suite wet rooms. Laminate flooring throughout, no smelly carpets. Food: good choice, beautifully presented and most importantly, tastes ‘superb’ according to Mum. Care: the staff could not have done more. Mum immediately felt welcome and was treated as an individual. We were surprised at her new lease of life on entering Courtfield Lodge, all smiles again, enjoying the entertainment and the company of staff and residents. When she became ill, the staff were quick to get medical advice and hospital admittance. She returned for end of life care and the staff were so kind, attentive and professional. Good value: calculating what we paid for carers, meals, laundry, etc., in her own home, Mum got 24 hour care for not much more. Importantly, real peace of mind for us too.
The staff here have been so welcoming to my brother and to me. I am amazed at how well he has settled in and how he has responded to their care.
My mum came into Courtfield Lodge five years ago, she was very volatile at the time and she passed recently in a calm and peaceful manner because of the care and love she has received from the staff at Courtfield. The staff are literally angels with the patience of saints and I cannot thank them enough for making my mum's last years so good. Every area of staffing is excellent at Courtfield the cleaners, gardeners and last but not least the nursing staff. Every one of them always has a smile on their face as they look after the patients, they bring a smile to Mum's face every time they come into the room and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for her and for us. Putting a parent into a care home felt like a failure but once we saw how well she was looked after we knew we had made the right choice and have never regretted it. So thank you to all the staff for making my mother's last years so much better than they could have been. We will always be grateful.
Had to find a care home for my Dad quickly. Visited many in the area and picked Courtfield Lodge for its excellent manager, warm welcoming feel and future improvements being made to the building. Since Dad arrived, his care has been brilliant. The senior staff are amazing, organising Dad's needs. Carers are so kind and friendly, taking time to help Dad. I am more than happy with the care.
It is now some five years since we have been visiting someone in Courtfield Lodge Care Home. During this time the ownership has changed with a much-improved quality of care. There is a large turnover of staff due to the nature of the work on offer and this being at the lower end of the labour market, this is not unique to Courtfield. In general, taking everything into consideration, Courtfield Lodge performs ok with the resources available.
A massive improvement since the new manager has taken over and appointed a new activity coordinator. We are enjoying the social media page for the home and keeping everyone updated finally. Please keep up the great work.
Courtfield Lodge is excellent. All the staff are so warm, helpful and very caring to all the residents. The manager is so helpful and acted immediately to any concerns we had as mum found it hard, in the beginning, to settle in. We live down south and so find it hard to visit on a regular basis so the activities coordinator has been so helpful in setting up zoom calls to our mum on a regular basis, which mum and ourselves absolutely love. We highly recommend sending your loved ones here.
Client in for extended respite, new manager not yet been introduced. The staff are friendly and take time to address the client by name. Clothes have gone missing but have been returned when queried. Food very varied and looks good. Covid-19 has obviously inhibited some services provided for clients. Themed days etc. Dog Service.
I tried for a number of years to get help for my mum. It was only when she was found wandering by the police that she was made a resident of Courtfield Lodge. The staff are excellent, caring and respectful. Mum is finally in a safe and happy place. If I could I'd move in there myself. I am really happy that Mum gets such excellent care at Courtfield Lodge.
Staff always helpful when visiting family member. Often provided with tea/coffee if asked. Comfortable visiting area and outside patio. Plenty of natural light in lounge area and a sense of belonging being so near (visually) to residential properties.
Staff friendly, treat my husband with care and respect. I am totally at ease with them. Never seen anybody ill-treating anyone. Feel the home is getting better with staff, i.e. more settled now new manager. Very hard working staff (place not perfect) but I am happy they are looking after my husband. All homes can have a smell but I feel they keep on top of it. Staff very approachable.
I am always kept up to date with my wife's care plan and any issues of her care and behaviour. The manager is stamping her influence for the better on the home and is always available to discuss ideas and any concerns I may have. The lead carers and the rest of the staff are always willing to converse with me on any aspects of my wife's care. Improvements on room security have taken place. New activities manager needs time to have her influence.
