Having visited Croft House 2/3 times a week now for over two years, I feel well qualified to comment on the provision of both the physical & emotional support provided to my elderly Mother during this period. The staff at Croft House are exceptional people, everyone from the admin staff to those providing personal & medical care or logistical support are genuinely invested in their Residents. Croft House does not feel like a commercial enterprise, it is a caring & kind environment which makes Residents feel they're living in a family community. In my experience the staff go the extra mile to ensure everyone in their care feels valued & the wide range of age appropriate activities & experiences ensure that there is always something to look forward to. Occasional trips out are expertly arranged by the entertainments staff for those who wish to take part & every calendar event throughout the year is celebrated with great enthusiasm. I recommend this Care Home & all its staff unreservedly!

Fantastic home and staff, couldn't ask for better care for my nan. The carers are amazing, the nurses are always involved and explain things and one staff member in particular is worth his weight in gold! Nan is now safe and happy, eating well and comfortable, can't thank the staff enough.

This is a very good place. My brother is well care for. He is a lot different person than when he first arrived at Croft. The staff are so friendly and caring.

Dad has settled in really well. Has been here just a week but likes his room, has been kept active is treated really well. Food, the staff, other residents and activities are all great. I love to see him content. Hes a very special man and must be looked after.

My mother has been in Croft House since September 2024. It has given the family peace of mind that she is cared for in a lovely home. The staff are excellent and there are lots of activities for my mum to participate in. Food is good with lots of options to choose from. My mum is very happy in Croft House.

Mum has been at Croft House for almost 6 months. The staff and carers have be brilliant, helping mum adjust and settle in. Nothing is too much trouble. Nursing staff are caring and approachable, reassuring that mum is in such good hands. Its such a comfort knowing mum is in the right place, for all her needs. Huge thank you to all the staff.

Mother has been resident at Croft House for nearly 18 months, and has been treated with kindness, compassion, understanding and patience by all staff. Thank you for your continuing support and friendly care.

Mum has been at Croft House Care Home for a couple of years, having found living independently nearly impossible. She hasn't always found the process of living in a care home easy and has at times railed against it, but she has always been treated with such kindness and compassion by the staff. I find it really telling that there has been little turn over in key staff and am hugely impressed in how they go out of their way to help mum, even coming in on days off to take her out or watch TV with her on a Saturday night. Whenever issues have occurred, managers has been very approachable and have worked quickly to resolve what issues they can.

Overall we are happy with the service. There could be more communication one to one regarding the residents daily experience. We are still struggling with the food issues and the lack of showering.

An absolutely outstanding care home with staff who always go the extra mile. Christmas is a prime example of entertainment, joy and love shown to all residents. Well managed, fabulous staff. Couldn't look for anywhere nice or more caring.

Since somewhat reluctantly agreeing with family and our mother that a move to a care home was really the only practical course of action as living on her own was becoming more difficult, I can only say that from the initial settling in to now, the transition has been made extremely smooth and thanks to the excellent, attentive and above all compassionate nature of the staff our mother has settled in happily.

My experience has been nice, the staff are welcoming and pleasant. The food is satisfactory but I enjoy the social aspect in the communal areas. I like my room and its homely feel, and I enjoy when visitors come to see me. Overall, my experience has been pleasant.

My husband has been here for 5 1/2 years - he is paralysed from the chest down and is unable to join in activities. Up to this point we have been self-funding - selling off everything we possess and using every penny of savings. Two members of staff in particular are very kind and do their best to encourage eating and drinking. Front of house - reception and another particular member of staff have been very helpful.

My mother has been a resident at Croft House for over a year. During this time my overall experience has been excellent. The facilities and location are obviously important factors here. However what really makes Croft House is the dedication of the team members who go about their work with a caring, professional and upbeat approach. Since the day my mum arrived, she has been cared for beyond our expectations. The staff are exemplary in their work, going the extra mile to ensure that my mum is comfortable, well fed and medically supported. The food and kitchen staff are highly commended - it is great that you can join in for lunch or supper. Thank you to the manager and two members of staff in particular for great communication and to your wonderful team for their compassion and kindness.

I reviewed care facilities in a 20-mile area for a 92-year-old gentleman who is a family friend and have legal responsibility for. He lived in his home for 64 yrs, unfortunately on his own for the last 3, and was becoming less able to manage. As I looked at quite a few Croft House kept being recommended to me, both from direct experience and knowledge of. I was very impressed on my first visit by the facilities, room sizes, comfortable areas to sit, daily activities, menus, food prepared and lovely gardens. It is a large comfortable home with a most charming atmosphere. However what was most sincere were all the staff, professionalism, respect and light-hearted manners. They project dedication and care and everyone has been so friendly. Health care is, as we all know from direct experience and social media, challenging. The level of individual care needs fluctuates but it is evident all staff do everything possible to make this a well-run home and my friend has his enthusiasm restored.

My aunt became a resident of Croft House Care Home in 2019 at the age of 99 years. I have been impressed over the subsequent years (and I'm not easily impressed !) by the consistently high standard - including the caring attitude of staff, good quality meals and wide range of activities. These have all contributed to the good social skills and mobility my aunt still enjoys. The staff's arrangements for my aunt's 104th Birthday are an example of their thoughtfulness. They asked how my aunt wished to celebrate, she asked to visit her childhood home nearby and have lunch at the hotel in the town she frequented as a teenager. The kind carers fulfilled both requests outstandingly - including arranging with the new owners for my aunt to look around her old home and for birthday decorations at the hotel. A birthday party with cake and a visit by the Town Mayor concluded a very happy day. As I live some distance away it is reassuring to know my aunt has this level of care.

My mother has been a resident of Croft House Care Home since mid-December. Croft House is in a delightful garden setting. The staff here are truly amazing. They are patient, kind, caring and respectful, and as my mum says, nothing is too much trouble for them. The residents here are extremely well cared for, well entertained and very well fed as all the food is home-cooked and there is always a choice of meals. My mum enjoys many of the activities that are on offer, from sewing classes to movie screenings and carpet bowls, as well as trips into town for tea. The rooms are cleaned daily as are the private bathrooms. My mum wants for nothing here, is extremely happy and considers herself very fortunate to be in the hands of the expert care staff of Croft House. I would highly recommend Croft House to anyone looking for excellent personal care for their loved ones.

Fantastic home and staff, couldn't ask for better care for my nan. The carers are amazing, the nurses are always involved and explain things and one staff member in particular is worth his weight in gold! Nan is now safe and happy, eating well and comfortable, can't thank the staff enough.

Whenever issues have occurred, managers has been very approachable and have worked quickly to resolve what issues they can.

Overall we are happy with the service. There could be more communication one to one regarding the residents daily experience. We are still struggling with the food issues and the lack of showering.

My experience has been nice, the staff are welcoming and pleasant. The food is satisfactory but I enjoy the social aspect in the communal areas. I like my room and its homely feel, and I enjoy when visitors come to see me. Overall, my experience has been pleasant.
