View Full Details of Weald Hall Care HomeMy father has become more settled, putting on weight and content with his surroundings. He needs a lot of care due to a stoma bag, which they are able to deal with, leaving him a lot less anxious.
My mum has been a resident for 18months now and overall we are very happy with the level of care she receives .The carers and office staff are always helpful with their knowledge regarding dementia and have got us through some challenging times .As a regular weekly/almost daily visiter they are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble if you need help with your loved ones .They have lots of entertainment for the residents as well as family days where all the family can join in .The home has a great feel to it and everyone is treated with the upmost respect .Many of the staff have been there along time so you can get to know them properly , there doesn't .appear to be a big turnover of staff which speaks volumes .The main thing is my mum says she is happy and staff are lovely and she feels safe and cared for which is very reassuring for us as a family .It is very well run by the management team who go above and beyond for the safety of the residence .
The home is always very friendly and welcoming and the staff caring and helpful to deal with. Communication with ourselves is done striking a good balance between keeping relatives informed where necessary but not so often as to cause alarm or worry. I've often said of the staff there that often have work in challenging circumstances that they earn and deserve every penny of their salaries.
Having visited several care homes recently, Weald Hall is up there with the best. It is always clean and tidy and no unpleasant smells. There is a good staff to resident ratio. Activities are varied, trips out are arranged to local facilities for residents that wish to partake. Well cared for grounds enable residents to be active & enjoy the fresh air when weather permits.
Dad has recently moved to Weald Care Home. And before Dad even moved in we felt part of their family. So supportive and caring to Dad and us. Extremely professional and have a wealth of knowledge of dementia care. Although my dad is fairly poorly I know his in safe hands. Dad lives with his illness at weald care home. He is no longer dying from his illness in care. And when his time comes I feel comforted in the fact he will be surrounded by us and the love and care at weald Hall. They continue think outside of the box to meet Dad's care needs.
The staff are so helpful and friendly. They always go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble for them. The regular meetings and updates are very informative and useful. They are always open to new ideas and ways of improving their services.
Due to the full care my father needs I can not fault what they do for him at the home .He has his own privacy but is always checked on if something is out of normal routine. Even today he normally has his door always open but I was just helping him and straight away there was a knock at the door and a voice asking "is everything OK " and a head popped round just to make sure dad was OK.
We have been looking for a care home for my mum for some time and nowhere we have seen comes close to Weald Hall. Mum has dementia and Dad has cancer so he is finding it extremely difficult to care for her. Mum is completely dependent on him and only ever happy if she is with him. That was until we took her to Weald Hall. As soon as Mum arrived she was relaxed and settled immediately. The manager and her wonderful team took time to get to know about Mum before meeting her to ensure a personal connection straight away. It didn't take long before Mum was dancing to ABBA and eating delicious food she would refuse if we offered it to her! Something that really made all the difference to us, was the care and consideration also given to Dad during such a difficult time. Weald Hall really is home from home and I can't recommend it enough.
They are all so kind to my sister. Lots of activity's arranged .nothing is too much trouble.. I can't get too see her as often as I would like ,because of my mobility, but they have met me in Epping for coffee .
I have selected this review to cover February as this is the month that my wonderful mum came to the end of her journey with dementia, but my words pertain to every single day of her residency. When it was realised that mum had a very short time left, the amazing management permitted us to be with her around the clock, with a staff member taking our place to sit with mum for the few hours we were not able to be there. Every single member of staff checked on us constantly, offering drinks, food & support on tap. Mum was treated with nothing but absolute care, compassion & dignity - nothing & I mean NOTHING was too much trouble from her first day to her last. There are no words to describe how we, as a family feel about the incredible people that take care of the residents here. They work tirelessly to make each day memorable & strive always to make that happen. They truly are Angels in human form.
My mother has been there for two years and is very happy and the staff are very helpful and always keep me informed about everything and the staff are very good and caring with my mother and I think that's important for me so that I don't have to worry
We chose Weald Hall for my Mother in Law because of their warm and welcoming approach. The facilities are first class and very modern and the care has been excellent. My Mother in Law has an excellent airy and warm room. The staff and manager of the home always listen carefully to any requests we have made and their response has always been sympathetic and appropriate. We are all very satisfied with the fruits of their hard work.
My Grandad has been with Weald Hall for 2 years now and has always been so well cared for, and loved by the staff. Choosing a care home for a relative who means the world to you is daunting but I am so pleased we chose Weald Hall. Knowing my Grandad is safe and cared for is so important.
My father in law has been a resident a Weald Hall now for over 3 years and we as a family could not be happier with his care. He is really well cared for and when we visit we always get a warm welcome. Everyone at Weald Hall from the manageress down plays their part in making it feel like home.
The staff went out of their way to ensure that my wife had a special day. Their entertainment for residents is excellent and they ensure that the resident is comfortable and happy. The meals are always varied.
My mum is very happy here. She eats well and there's lots of entertainment. The staff have all been really great. She's thrived in later life and it's been marvellous to see. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend all the staff, the caterers and the entertainers, they have all been superb.
Mum has been a resident now for nearly 4 years. She seems happy enough, although mentally and physically she has deteriorated. Her needs are met with care. Staff are always helpful and cheerful when we visit. Home is always clean. Lots of activities, they do go above and beyond at times. Keep up the good work and thank you all for looking after our mum.

We viewed many care homes before choosing Weald Hall. My husband and I came out after our visit with such a positive feeling. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The manager has been so responsive. Today, my mother-in-law arrived to friendly kind greetings and immediately we felt we had made the right decision. Her room is bright, homely and clean. Residents are treated as family and you can't ask more than that!
We were looking for urgent support after my mum was discharged from hospital but was still in no condition to look after herself in her own home. The home manager and the team at Weald Hall could not have been more helpful and welcoming, and as a family we all agreed that this care home was the right place for our mum to receive the care she needed. We found the home, extremely clean and comfortable, with all the staff friendly and approachable, and we believe this is the right place for our mum to stay, for however long she wants to be a resident.
