View Full Details of Hatfield Peverel Care HomeMum wasn't in the Nursing Home long however; she was happy. Staff were attentive and kind and nothing was ever too much trouble. Whenever we visited staff were very welcoming and polite and mum was always well looked after.
My sister was a resident at Hatfield Pevrel Care Home until her recent passing. The care she received was amazing. From her care to the food, the people were the kindest and most caring and made sure she had everything she needed. I can honestly say they were like an extended family. The rooms were clean and tidy and my sister was always happy and laughing with the carers. Her hair was washed and cut regularly and nails painted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the care home. Five stars.
When my father first became a resident of Hatfield Peverel Lodge, we were very concerned that he might not like it. I am very happy to say that he is extremely happy. The level of care is exceptional. In his own words, he regularly tells me that he cannot fault it. Our observations are that all the staff are very attentive, hard-working and extremely caring and very approachable.
Following a professional and informative tour of the Hatfield Peverel home, I felt at ease and relaxed that my dad would be happy and in very safe hands. He was admitted in mid-August and I cannot fault the attention, friendliness and professionalisation of all staff members in all roles and capacities. To add to this, a long-standing medical issue that had been troubling him for weeks was treated and addressed exhibiting a pleasing improvement within his first week. Thank you all!
Since I came into the home in March 2024 I have been treated very well by all the staff and carers. All the staff here are very attentive to my needs and are also respectful of my privacy. All of my family and friends who have visited me say that the staff are very friendly too. The food is also very good and there is always a great choice, so I am never hungry. The activities are very good there is a good mix of singers and we also have fitness sessions and a lady who comes in to dance as well as bingo and all kinds of crafts.
I think the care home in Hatfield Peverel is a very happy environment for residents. The staff are so very pleasant. They go above and beyond helping the residents. My aunt has dementia and can be difficult at times but they. Always appeared to be very caring. Lovely residents too, a lovely family home. Lovely food too.
I have spent time here between operations an following the third operation on my leg and hip. The atmosphere in the home is kind and encouraging with very few exceptions. The caring/nursing and all staff are kind and helpful to speedy recovery. The food is well prepared and varied and gives a variety of choices and help for dietary problems. I have recovered much more quickly than would have been the case in hospital or alone at home. Trouble is taken to make visitors and family very welcome and any problems are listened to and attempted to be dealt with. I can recommend the home to others. The variety of entertainment makes for a sociable atmosphere.
All the staff here are extremely caring and, although we turn up at the home at different times, they are always welcoming, happy and willing to answer any questions we have. There are always enough carers around to help with all the residents' needs which do vary between individuals.
My mum is a resident and she is very well cared for. All carers are very helpful and really friendly. The kitchen staff prepare lovely meals and offer different dishes and nothing is too much for them. Their cakes are amazing! Nurses are very caring and sincere. Housekeeping do a great job! I can't fault anyone because they all care and help and do an amazing job. I have been so impressed that I have recommended another resident to the care home who is also happy to be there.
I have been so impressed with all aspects of the care home since Dad moved in at the start of October. The staff are absolutely superb, and Dad is looked after to such a high standard. I cannot thank the whole team enough. I would have no hesitation recommending Hatfield Peverl to anyone who is looking for a care home facility in the area.
Caring staff who work hard to make the experience a homely and friendly environment. The management is experienced and runs the home efficiently and the food has improved over the last month. The rooms are a little restricted and be better with shower facilities.
Very good.
Excellent facilities and always an amazing experience with the staff. Have visited my family and always found the home to be welcoming and well-maintained. The staff were always happy to help and were kind.
My mother became a resident due to needing 24-hour care (end of life). During her short stay, all staff I encountered were caring, professional and welcoming. I was kept fully informed. The home has a lovely calm ambience which I believe made mother's last days peaceful.
The home requires a good manager.
After my stepfather received a diagnosis which would end his life. I was delighted to find him a bed at The Lodge my mother had resided there prior to her death and the staff were welcoming, professional and caring. I couldn't have asked fir more for my stepfather - he passed away with a short time after arriving but he was happy and comfortable.
My mum went into this care home for 10 days. She did have dementia and nursing needs but she could speak fluently and cooperate effectively to the point you would not think she had dementia. The Mallard Dementia Building I thought was extremely depressing and with no feeling of comfort there. It was extremely disorganised with residents walking around shouting out and upsetting others. There didn't seem much interaction between the staff and residents. Unfortunately, my mum was taken into hospital 10 days after being there and passed away, but should this not have happened I would have been seeking to look at other homes.
Always a friendly welcome at reception. Staff are helpful and are interested in any conversation I have with them. The atmosphere in the home is a happy one. Any concerns that I have are addressed promptly.
The team were professional, caring, empathetic and always on hand to offer support and guidance. I was amazed at how attentive they were and how caring towards my father. They made him feel at home and welcomed me each time, keeping me informed of his progress. Nothing was too much trouble for them - an amazing team of people - wonderful.
We recently celebrated Mum's birthday at the home with a family party in the garden. This was the first time we have all been able to get together since Mum moved into Hatfield Peverel due to Covid restrictions. The staff at the home could not do enough to make it a really special afternoon. They have been so helpful and caring during the time Mum has been a resident.
