View Full Details of Milton Ernest Hall Care HomeMy mother in law has always been supported to the highest possible standard She is involved in her plan and delivery of her care Staff are available all at times to her As family we are always made welcome
My brother requires two carers most of the time. This care is provided with dignity and kindness. My brother appreciates the cheerfulness of the staff and enjoys the excellent meals provided by the kitchen staff. My brother needs constant medication and the nurses do their best to provide this on demand. The manageress and her staff are most helpful in a practical way to my brother and the family.
My dad moved to Milton Ernest Hall in January 2025 and settled in immediately. He loves the beautiful grounds and the grand rooms. He feels as if he is living in a National Trust Property! In particular he enjoys eating with the other residents in the wood panelled dining room where they have proper napkins and napkin rings. Despite having dementia he is included in all the activities and is regularly taken on trips to the pub or the bowls club which he really enjoys. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They really do make you feel like part of the family and I am enjoying getting to know them all and the other residents.
The staff is so incredibly warm and friendly I cannot fault them.. It is a beautiful Victorian residence with lovely views over the gardens and grounds . They also do lovely outings and activities. The food is served in the large dining room which always looks very inviting and very special.
This is the second home/nursing home we have entrusted to look after Dad. The standards and facilities are significantly better than the first! Friendly, approachable and responsible staff from carers to senior managers. Excellent facilities and good visiting arrangements. What more could a family member ask for? Thank you Milton Ernest Hall Care Home.
My mother has been a resident since December 2023. She was frail and not coping at all at home, she had a nasty leg ulcer for eight years and the district nurses were unable to heal it. After seven months of dedicated nursing, she is now free of the ulcer. She is very happy and calls Milton Ernest Hall her home. She gets on well with staff and residents and it is the best thing she ever did to come and live at Milton Ernest Hall, thank you.
The management and staff were caring, attentive, professional, always available, and always smiling and happy to help. My mother felt very at home and was treated with the utmost respect. There was always someone there if she needed company. The staff also went out of their way to help my brother and I with any query or problem. I highly recommend Milton Ernest Care Home.
Friendly, caring and compassionate staff, nurses care and admin/reception who genuinely look to fulfil the wishes of residents and take good care of them. Communication with family is good. Food is good quality and special accommodations are made without fuss to cater for preferences. Residents go for regular outings to a range of different local places, and the home often hosts events and brings family and the local community in. We are very happy with Milton Ernest Hall.
Following my mother's last years at Milton Ernest Hall, I felt I needed to volunteer my services. The staff are caring and most considerate. The residents are a real joy to visit. It is a happy place to visit and be involved with. I visit each week unless on holiday. Being in a quiet rural position it gives a very peaceful atmosphere.
Overall experience has been very positive. Staff have been very kind, attentive and sympathetic to my wife's needs. Although a pureed level 4 diet is necessary they have tried to ensure the meals are both appealing and varied. The grounds and building are very attractive.
Every time I come here I enjoy a warm welcome and find my friend happy and excited to tell me what she has been up to. I wish all establishments came up to your standard.
This place I now call my home is very, very special to me.
Since my mum moved into Milton Ernest a year ago as a fairly high-dependency resident, she has always been treated with care and respect by all the staff. She always seems happy and never has any complaints when I visit. There are no set visiting times, so I am often able to turn up unannounced after work and always find the staff to be very professional in their attitude towards both myself and the residents, creating a relaxed atmosphere for everyone. Relatives are regularly updated with all the activities put on for residents and I feel it to be a well-run, well-managed, and safe place for my mum to spend the latter years of her life.
I find visiting my mother relaxing. I was really stressed after my elderly mother was in hospital and the care home staff and atmosphere is very calming and welcoming. The staff are helpful and pleasant. They are all knowledgeable about my mother’s routine and progress. My mother arrived at Milton Ernest in a very low state. She could hardly talk or move. She is now up and dressed every day sitting up and eating at the table every day. After years of worrying about my Mum I can relax and be confident that she is safe and well cared for. Thank you for looking after my mother so well.
The welcome received from the first day of admission was incredible. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Any queries or problems are dealt with very quickly and efficiently.
The staff at the home are excellent and welcoming. I can not fault the care and attention the staff give to my mother-in-law from the chef who provides excellent food in a way which is easy to consume to all the carers who just show so much love and attention. This weekend the home put on a Christmas fair which was a great event and the home is decorated in readiness for the Christmas festivities. Well done to you all and keep up the great work, have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Mum has been at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home for over six months, and we could not be happier. All the staff go above and beyond to show love and care to the residents, along with encouraging Mum to be as independent as possible. Some members of staff even went to visit Mum whilst she was in hospital recently in their own time. The hall itself is full of history and is a wonderful old manor house with the most amazing gardens - these have been the centre of some very enjoyable events. Management is involved with everything and joins in with events and activities. They are extremely easy to communicate with and will often check on residents' families to see how they are doing too. Milton Ernest Hall Care Home definitely gets my recommendation.
My father has been at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home since February 2023. The level of care he has received has been outstanding. Every single member of staff is friendly, caring and compassionate. Management is easy to approach and communication is second to none. I would highly recommend Milton Ernest Hall.
I did not expect the level of care that I received. I came here to recover from an operation and thought I was just having a room with knowledgeable people nearby if I needed them. Instead, I was cared for in the most wonderful way from the start to the end of my visit. I can't thank them enough for their kindness.
I find Milton Ernest very friendly. Good communication for the family. Lovely environment for my mother to be in. The activities team work hard to include everyone. Cannot fault the care that all staff bring. They have supported my mother and myself very well.
