View Full Details of Queens Lodge Nursing HomeI have placed 3 relatives in this care home over the last 8 years. All have been cared for well, the staff are very helpful and friendly and turnover is quite low which is a good thing. Lots of staff have been working the whole 7 years I have been visiting. The recent redevelopment has only enhanced things which now means a more up to date environment and furnishings. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to place a relative.
Absolutely fantastic care home, the staff cannot be faulted. They do a fantastic job with no fuss, panic or anything. There is always someone you can talk to and they listen. If any action is needed it is done. The facilities are fantastic, as are the rooms, everything easily accessed.
She loves living at the care home. All her needs are taken care for staff are brilliant. She's not alone and now has plenty of friends. She's being looked after in the utmost of care. I have nothing negative about this care home.
We have been delighted with Queens Lodge Nursing Home since my mum arrived. A very welcoming home, the staff are so polite and respectful to the residents. My mum has settled in, which is totally down to the staff. The decor is tired, but is gradually being renovated without disturbing the residents. The residents are free to roam around and sit wherever they want. I can visit whenever and if I have a question about my mum, the staff can always answer it as they know who she is. They always call her by her name.
My mum is very happy at Queens Lodge so makes us happy and puts our minds at rest.
They have managed after months of Mum being wheelchair-bound, with no confidence to attempt to stand, actually managed to give her the confidence to stand up, aided. You really don't know as a family, how much you have given back to our wonderful mum. Thank you so much, you really are the best. From a very grateful daughter and all the family.
Mum has been in Queens Lodge since September 2020 and from the start was made to feel welcome. Her room overlooks the garden and she enjoys mixing with others and relaxing in her room when wanting to have some quiet time. She has just turned 100 and all the staff made a fuss of her and made it a special time. It gives us peace of mind to know that she is well looked after.
A dedicated team of nursing and caring staff who work very hard, especially in these challenging times. A special thank you for keeping Queens Lodge safe and really looking forward to normal times and visiting again.
My mum was a resident of Queens Lodge for the last 4 and 1/2 years. I cannot stress enough how happy I am to have chosen this home for my mum. She was cared for by angels and had everything she could ever need. She was an independent lady and was very happy there. The staff did everything they could to help her stay independent and she really appreciated that, as did her family. The home is always clean and the nurses are so smart and professional. I always felt comfortable going to visit and was made to feel very welcome by everyone. My mum was always doing something or other when I visited, like flower arranging, dancing or playing bingo and that really reassured me that she was being kept stimulated. I can't recommend Queens Lodge highly enough! Thank you to all the staff for looking after mum so well.
A lovely, comfortable residential home. My mum was cared for with the utmost professionalism. The staff are caring and welcoming as are the owners. There was a variety of afternoon entertainment in a warm supportive environment. My mum was cared for in a compassionate manner right to the end of her life. Many thanks from all the family.
Even from our first meeting and looking around your home I was instantly aware that Queens Lodge was right for dad and my gut feeling could not have been more right. You and your amazing staff went above and beyond our expectations. The care, the comfort, the professionalism, the surroundings, the communication, the empathy, the attention to small detail, everything you all did was so comforting in our time of distress and dad's final weeks, days, hours and minutes were cared for in a way that soothed us. We can never find the words to express what you did for dad. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving him love, care and dignity right to the end.
My mother had a serious fall and was admitted to hospital. When they could no longer do anything for her they transferred her to Queens Lodge. Mum herself said, "I have gone from Hell into Heaven". Every single member of staff from top to bottom were absolutely lovely to her. She had a laugh and a joke with lots of them despite being desperately ill. Everything in their power was done to make my mum happy, comfortable and pain-free, from dog therapy, Easter hats and plants growing on her window ledge to constant checks about her comfort. They never made you feel they hadn't time (and I'm sure they hadn't) to turn her, lift her or comfort her. Also, because I live away and could only get up spasmodically I phoned every day. I was always given a true update which was always caring and kind and I was never made to feel that I shouldn't be phoning. In this world full of tumult and strife what a blessing for my mum to have ended her days in such a lovely place looked after by lovely people.
