View Full Details of Knowles Court Care HomeThe care my Mum gets is outstanding. All the staff go way beyond what is expected of them. I couldn't ask for more.
Mum has been in Ryecroft House for just two weeks. We're so thankful that the activities organiser made it possible for us to livestream my brother's wedding into Mum's room which we really appreciated. Also today, she has given Mum a CD player and some appropriate CDs. Mum is very frail and fragile and they are building up a good picture of her abilities and needs.
Avoid at all costs. Spent less than 30 minutes at the place. Refused to let my mum remain there. It was horrid, like something from the 1970s. No care, no compassion, it was dirty, it stank. It was like going back to bedlam days, absolutely horrified with the place, staff all on their phones, more concerned regarding texting people than providing care for vulnerable people, my mum. Didn’t even have a mattress on her bed when we arrived. No curtains up, not even a chair in her room. Oh, and another bed frame was dumped there. Disgusted with the whole place. I should have known when I pulled up in the car park, a dump, gardens overgrown and full of rubbish. Once again please avoid at all costs.
I enjoyed it there, the staff were very nice. There was someone to talk to the residents and staff. The staff are funny and they look after you, they made me a cup of tea when I wanted one. I had everything I needed.
Staff very understanding with my sister. Nothing too much to ask, made her final months comfortable. Cannot express my thanks enough, I know my sister was cared for above and beyond. Will always be thankful for their time and help.
Really good service, exceptional care. Have used the home several times over the years.
The new manageress spoke to me for a long time on the phone, as we had hit a bit of a difficult patch at home, and answered all of my questions about care and where to get advice on the money side of things. She asked for lots of information so they can look after our relative properly and really put my mind at ease, especially as once our relative is used to going, I will use the time to go away. We were invited to look around, advised what to bring and the staff on the unit were lovely, makes respite easier in future now we know who we can ring we were really nervous. It’s hard admitting we needed help, but it gives us all a good break and the rest we needed without worrying about our relative.
After having a few problems with my mum settling in, I can say overall the staff and team have been really supportive of everything and really reassuring regards my mum's care going forward.
Really friendly and caring care home. Staff are very positive and they look and care after all residents with a professional attitude. Well done everybody.
After we got off to a poor start when my husband first entered the care home, all problems were dealt with in a satisfactory manner and he has been well cared for. The staff are wonderful and work extremely hard in caring and looking after all residents needs. The staff create a lovely friendly atmosphere. I'm completely satisfied with the care my husband is receiving and he is much more settled.
My husband was taken into care in April. We have seen an improvement in him due to the care and attention the staff at Headley House give him. He is settled, eating well and seems content. I can't thank everyone enough for the help they have given my husband and also the support they give the family. Thank you.
My one hundred year old mum was moved to Knowles Court Care Home on February 13th for end of life care. Living a long way from the area, we were reassured and relieved that she was safe and cared for until she passed away. We found the staff to be friendly, reassuring and caring when we visited during her stay and when we collected her things afterwards.
Dad's been here since August 2021 and has come on well since his neglect at two previous homes.
My father transferred into Knowles Court on 23rd March 2020 during lockdown, and we thought it would be a temporary placement as it is a 90-mile round trip for us to visit. When we realised how well he was looked after, we decided to leave home at Knowles Court as the staff are so very good, very friendly and very helpful. They are on top of his medication and are quick to realise when he's not well. He has volunteered the fact that he is happy at Knowles Court and praises the staff and food. The activity programme is amazing, the thoughtful cards that are sent to my mum at Christmas, Easter, Valentine's day and Birthdays are just an example of the above and beyond care that is provided by the excellent staff. We are delighted we found Knowles Court.
Have used Knowles Court for 4 members of our family over 20 years and have always been satisfied with their care.
You are still stating that your rooms are all ensuite which is untrue and since covid, there has hardly been any entertainment for the residents, nothing to keep them busy or occupied. Now they cannot decorate for Halloween or Christmas, why on earth not, it's high time you asked them what they would like.
very friendly and helpful staff. There are lots of activities to occupy residents. We were given lots of time to visit with Mum as we hadn't physically seen her for 17 months.
The staff here do an excellent job against all the odds stacked against them. It takes a special person to do the job they do. My mum doesn't like being in care, obviously, but she also admits that they do a marvellous job.
I cannot really compare it as I cannot remember where I lived before. I enjoy living here and I am well looked after. I enjoy the meals as far as I can remember.
My mum was a resident in Knowles Court. She passed away on 26th November 2019. I would like to thank all the staff who cared for my mum, she was always happy when I came to see her.
