View Full Details of Freeland HouseThe dignity and compassion that the Freeland Care Team showed my father was excellent. Dad really felt comfortable and 'at home' in his room. He really enjoyed engaging with the staff on a daily basis. The response from his daily carers when he died was testament to how much they liked him and the relationship he had with them.
My brother has been staying at Freeland House since he left hospital mid October having been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. He is now having palliative care here. The whole experience of his stay has been marvellous. He was able to enjoy his first couple of weeks and constantly said how much he loved it here. Every member of staff are kind, caring and wonderful - they make you feel like a real member of the family. They truly could not have looked after my brother any better and give him and us much comfort and care.
Very caring home, well worth the money.
Our mum came to Freelands House in November 2023 - June 2024. We can't thank them enough for all their help and support while looking after our mum. They are such a dedicated team that always treated us like family and also went the extra mile. 100%.
Freeland House is an excellent care home and I hope it will carry on in the same way.
My mum was a resident at the lodge, Freeland House Care Home for almost a year. During her time here, she was well cared for and very happy. From the managers, office staff, activity organisers, nurses and carers, they all made Mum's time here the best it could be. The lodge itself is beautiful and Mum had a lovely room with nice views. Mum took part in many of the activities, jigsaws, bingo, listening to music and the TV but she especially liked the singers that came in and entertained them all. Mum enjoyed being out in the garden, going for walks around the village and a few trips to the local pub for a Guinness. We, as a family, could not have asked for Mum to have had better care. The compassion everyone showed when Mum died on 23rd August 2023 was very comforting to us all. I recommend the lodge 100%.
Lovely people. Understanding, kind and helpful.
Since he moved to Freeland House in October 2021, my brother has been very happy and settled. The staff always treat him with respect and work to understand his needs, despite his severe communication difficulties. He can be very difficult about joining in with the activities, but they use persuasion to encourage him and sometimes succeed! The management team is well-led and the staff seem confident and happy in their work, which definitely helps to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for the residents. My brother really likes his spacious room and enjoys the food. Given that it is a very old house, with lots of cosy nooks and crannies, it is as clean as it can possibly be and is obviously well maintained. I would be happy to recommend Freeland House to anyone looking for a safe home for their loved one.
The staff are very polite, any issues that I have are answered straight away or in a reasonable period. They update me every month on Mum's condition. The home itself is clean and tidy, we look forward to our visits.
My mother has been a resident of Freeland House for a few years now. I find the staff are very caring and informative about my mother's health and well-being. I do not worry about her as I know she is being looked after. She has a lovely room overlooking the gardens. The carers regularly communicate with me to update me on my mother's health and I am always welcomed when I visit.
Dad has been in Freeland House for nearly 2 years now. During this time he has received excellent care and has been well looked after by a wonderful team of dedicated, kind and helpful carers and nurses.
Staff are friendly and very helpful. They do their best to keep mum clean and comfortable. Clothes are regularly laundered. Staff will try and sort out any issues straight away. I am informed of any changes to mum’s health
Have found Freeland House a lovely caring and always welcomed home for my mother. The staff and nurses are always ready to help in any way possible. Food is excellent and there is always a cup of tea available if we want one.
Everyone at Freeland House gives my parents the very best care and attention. During Covid outbreaks they tried to ensure life in Freeland carried on as usual and continued to keep us updated with all of the relevant information and news during this difficult time. I value the updates I receive concerning their care, staff always ask if there is anything I would like to know. I can’t thank the staff enough, everyone at Freeland House is amazing.
Very pleased with my mother's care. A nice home and grounds with pleasant and helpful staff. Her carer has formed a good bond with my mother and keeps me informed about progress and anything I need to know.
The staff are always very pleasant when we come. We always look forward to our tea and cake.
Freeland House is a beautiful old building with lovely grounds. All staff are very helpful and friendly. I am happy that my sister is in their care as I am confident that she is being looked after. As I don't live locally this is very reassuring.
All the staff at Freeland House was excellent! Management, admin, nurses, carers. Absolutely fantastic, 11/10.
Freeland House is a fantastic nursing home. The building is grand and imposing and it has the feel of a country house hotel. It has beautiful, well-kept gardens for residents to enjoy and is set in picturesque countryside. The thing that makes Freeland House outstanding is the friendly, patient, kind, caring and dedicated team of staff that work there. Nothing is ever too much trouble, no matter how busy they are and no matter what pressure they are under. They make a very difficult journey, for both resident and family, much easier to navigate.
Everyone we speak to about Freeland House say the same thing, it is lovely and the staff are very caring to the residents and the families.
