I am the brother of a resident at Hill House Care Home. In my best opinion I rate Hill House Care Home as one of the best in the business. As the next of kin of a resident, I have been happy and very overwhelmed with the quality of care given to my brother since August 2024. He is happy, more interactive and responsive than before, thanks to Hill House.

From the moment my Father arrived, both he and our family were treated with respect and dignity. We became part of your family. Every need was met, and you even helped arrange transfer of some of his furniture/belongings to make his room feel like home. There were always plenty of staff on duty and everyone was friendly and approachable. I would not hesitate to recommend Hill House Cre Home, my Father was comfortable and content, and I was able to relax knowing he was safe and being looked after when I wasn't there.

I just want to say all the staff, every single one that I have come across, is amazing in Hill House Care Home. Very attentive, helpful and kind. Five stars all the way.

My father entered into your care and was immediately treated with respect and professionalism. I cannot express how impressed I was with the staff and management team. The care my father received was exceptional. As a family, we were so pleased and grateful that our dad was surrounded with love and care in his final weeks. I know my dad was very happy there and felt safe and secure. I would strongly recommend this lovely care home to everyone.

My sister came to Hill House in January this year with much anticipation and fear of the unknown, as someone with learning disabilities any new transitions can be difficult. The staff especially the manager went above and beyond to settle her in and soon got used to her ways. She wasn't always the easiest of residents but staff soon put her at ease and generally spoilt her rotten. The last month or so as her health deteriorated more and she became more frightened and agitated but this still did not deter the staff from giving her 100% care. Her passing in July was met with so much love, compassion and dignity, which I will truly never forget. If I could give Hill House 100 stars that still would not be enough.

I would like to thank all the staff at Hill House for their outstanding care, compassion and humanity in the care of our late father. In the difficult times the family faced the staff team at Hill House joined us on that journey and made the remaining weeks of my father's life a time of peace and comfort to him and us. The dignity, respect and a very human touch you showed my father and the family has left an everlasting since of gratitude and awe in your day to day work with people in your care. You are truly a wonderful group of people.

Thank you for your outstanding care of my aunt. This care began in December 2020 and ended on June 20th. Not only the care of her as a resident but myself as her next of kin. The tea and cakes provided as a wake in the dining room were beautiful. A collection of photos relating to her time at Hill House were placed in the room and everyone was warm, kind and sensitive. Hill House exudes love and treats each person with respect to those who often feel alone and vulnerable at a stage of life few are prepared for.

We are just so grateful for the loving care my Mother received in her final weeks. It's a lovely place, with lovely staff. I cannot speak highly enough of everything. Many thanks to everyone.

Having worked as a GP in the area for over 35 years when my aunt came to need nursing care my knowledge of the care provided over the years to many of my patients meant that the decision to ask Hill House to care for her was a no-brainer. As a family, we were not disappointed. The care and love given to my aunt was exemplary, she perhaps was not the easiest person but the staff learnt her ways and this contributed so much to her experience at Hill House. When she reached 100 all the staff helped us put on a lovely party for her which was very special. My aunt's passing was made very comfortable, she was always treated with great respect and my family and I will always be grateful.

We were worried that Mum would find it difficult to move into a nursing home for palliative care, but we needn't have been. The staff and manager of Hill House were very caring and considerate. The time they all took to make Mum feel comfortable and the friendly support they provided was much appreciated.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Hill House for over two years and despite being compromised with her illness, she seemed happy there. I always felt the staff cared about her and knew her well and that she was treated as an individual. The whole team were always friendly and helpful whenever I went to visit and I am very grateful for the care that was evident.

My sister-in-law spent only 6 weeks at Hill House Nursing Home receiving end-of-life care but during that time experienced excellent and compassionate attention from all staff involved in her care. She remarked on several occasions that she felt safe and happy at Hill House for which her family have been extremely grateful.

Took great care of my mother. They are always there to help her. The lovely garden was kept clean. Helpful staff - very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. Would recommend this care home.

My mother was transferred to Hill House for end-of-life care. She was extremely frail on admission and her needs were assessed immediately and a care plan developed. Her care there on was truly outstanding. All the staff were highly professional in addressing her personal needs she was always clean and comfortable. The staff also demonstrated excellent communication skills both with mum and the whole family. Nothing was too much trouble from providing refreshments to arranging a bed to stay over during her last few days.

It takes a very special group of people to create the right energy to take care of the elderly and the sick. Hill House has this and so much more! My mum was so attached to her life and home but at 91 and after so many falls it became urgent to meet mums needs in new ways. From the minute she walked in the door at Hill House Care Home, she and I were held and supported and totally taken off in every way. It’s an extraordinarily emotional time as a parent ages and this is the first time I as her daughter and Mum have been through this process. We feel we have been treated with the utmost kindness and respect. The family run vibe is apparent in all the staff who are truly lovely genuine people. Every child would want their parent to be taken care of this well, when the time comes and Mum, within a week of being here, wants to stay. I feel so grateful to all the staff at Hill House. God's angels for sure. Please don’t hesitate to bring your loved one her.

Hill House has been our late father’s home for the past five years. When you first enter Hill House the pleasant, friendly atmosphere is all-pervading. We were reassured that each time we said our farewells, we knew that our father was among caring people, a special additional family for him. The manager is masterful at choosing staff who give of their best, keen to boost morale and well-being, so they ensure residents are treated as individuals. Our father was encouraged to join in with activities and we loved to see the monthly newsletter photos of him joining in. We would certainly recommend Hill House.

Hill House Care Home provided excellent care for my father. He was provided with all the medical support he needed in a friendly and homely environment. He was extremely ill when he arrived there from hospital but picked up with the attention he received. He was able to spend his last months surrounded by warmth and a family atmosphere. We were able to visit him every day and were always made to feel extremely welcome. The staff are wonderful and as it is still run by the same family who started it originally there is a very personal feel to the service provided. Nothing is too much for them and they sorted out everything for us. The residents are looked after physically and emotionally. My family and I are so relieved we found Hill House. I would strongly recommend this nursing home.

My review of Hill House is exceptional. The general manager made us feel welcome and showed us a variety of rooms. My mother loved the view from her room. Everything was spotless. There was a choice of menus at mealtimes, and she loved the food. Everyone we met was kind, efficient and courteous. Visitors were made very welcome. The atmosphere was warm, peaceful and caring. Mum enjoyed a variety of afternoons and activities and appreciated the church services. She was extremely happy and said that they all looked after her very well. Great kindness and compassion was expressed when she passed away. This is an outstanding care home.

Everyone at Hill House is so kinf and take great care of our mum. Their compassion and treatment toward our mum helps her to keep her dignity. The staff are also very good to us all as a family. The extra services provided are amazing. We are very happy for our Mum to live here knowing she is safe and all her needs catered for.
