View Full Details of Sutton Lodge Care HomeMy mum was in hospital for 6 weeks and then to Sutton Lodge Care Home. Although I didn't want this to happen, I now know it was best for mum. Sutton Lodge is absolutely wonderful, the staff are amazing with mum, as with everyone else and have a lot of time for her. Mum is very happy here and we, as a family can visit whenever we want. Mum was on her own a lot at home, as we were all at work, but there every evening, now she has 24 hour care and is so much happier.
As a resident I have no complaints, everyone is friendly and look after me very well. Always greeted with a lovely, good morning.
The staff and management are very welcoming and caring. Couldn't be better.
My Father-in-Law came to Sutton Lodge Care Home after a two month hospital stay. The caring staff were amazing and soon he was up and about enjoying the activities and home cooked food. He even went on a Christmas shopping trip with some other residents. This wonderful place turned his life around.
We are very pleased with the care my Mother is receiving at Sutton Lodge. She has praised the attitude and behaviour of the team here. The staff are caring and patient and treat my Mother with respect and dignity. The facility is well-maintained and well-led.
Sutton Lodge is an excellent care home with exceptional staff in every department. My Mother became a resident during the last few weeks of her life, suffering from a terminal illness. The staff were very caring and compassionate to both my Mother and our family. Highly recommend.
Great care home with great staff.
I'd like to thank all the staff at Sutton Lodge for the care that was given to my brother during the last few weeks before his passing. He was treated with dignity and respect by everyone he came into contact with whilst there, everyone couldn't do enough for him and due to his circumstances was happy and content to be in their care. When we visited Sutton Lodge we found the staff friendly and helpful towards each of us and very supportive of us at this difficult time.
This was the first time my wife had gone in for respite care, so we were both naturally a little nervous but the entire team were simply fantastic, fully supportive and appreciative of the situation before them. Nothing was too much trouble, the level of care and attention was exemplary. Everyone we met was both professional and welcoming, it was also clear to see that there was a happy team atmosphere, born out of the longevity service at Sutton Lodge. We have no hesitation in recommending and my wife will be returning.
My mother spent the last 14 months of her life at Sutton Lodge and she could not have had a better last year. I cannot praise enough the staff and the emotional and medical support provided. She went in for end-of-life care and had no interest in life but with gentle encouragement from the staff she gradually began to participate in activities. This enhanced her quality of life until a few weeks before her death. Her care was exemplary. The staff kind and thoughtful. Relatives also receive support, emotionally and with participation in relative meetings.
Satisfactory overall, but lacking in activities on some days especially late afternoons. Too hot on sunny days in the conservatory area. Meal requirements not always catered for as due to my husbands condition he can reverse what he wants. This seems to apply mainly to supper. Minor points sometimes overlooked like cleaning his electric tooth brush or razor. Bad posture in his wheelchair needs correcting as tends to slip forward and become very uncomfortable. More opportunities for conversation would help his mind stay active and advert boredom and depression.
The amazing staff looked after my grandfather. The care and attention he received was top tier and they went above and beyond. He enjoyed all the activities during his time at Sutton Lodge and always had a big smile on his face. Thank you so much to the whole team!
Very caring staff are very approachable if there are any problems. Staff understand my mother's needs. Has a real family atmosphere - relatives feel dart of the family too. Good management team.
The home is run to a high standard with excellent care.
I find the care home staff very supportive of my mother and also myself. Nothing seems to be too much for them. They constantly monitor my mother's health and are very quick to pick up any signs of illness. Overall my experience with the care home has always been extremely positive.
Mum moved here for respite care initially when she had chronic back pain. She was so well cared for and made an excellent recovery. At the end of the respite period she chose to stay. She is happily ensconced in the community of Sutton Lodge and enjoys an independent life but is fed, bathed and cared for with respect and care.
My father, at 102 years old, has been a resident at Sutton Lodge since September 2022. He was discharged from the hospital into their care with several ongoing medical problems, which continue to be addressed with improvement. The home is well-known to me by several previous residents. The staff, with their caring, encouraging and friendly attitude, have provided a safe environment for him. I would highly recommend this facility for those looking to place a loved one. Thank you.
All staff treat their client with dignity, compassion and a high level of care. Frequently, they go above and beyond. The meals are amazing. The staff make the care/home a home-from-home.
Excellent care, always clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. Always in attendance and carry out all requests. Generally very happy with the care my wife is receiving, and she looks much happier too.
Sutton Lodge nursing home has been a godsend. My dad has been here for the last couple of months. I love the staff and caregivers. They have been really taking good care of my father, who has Alzheimer's; he can't walk, and he can't talk. But the love of everyone has made him feel better. They have a beautiful garden, and I usually take my dad outside into their lovely garden for lunch. I come in twice a day, most days, and they have an open visit, which has made it so easy for me to visit my dad. The nurses are superb. I really think we have found a great place for my dad, and I'm grateful to them all.
