View Full Details of Rose Hill HomeMy husband is being extremely well cared for. The staff look after him as though he is one of their own relatives - they are always cheerful, efficient, and his welfare is paramount. It is obvious, to me, that he is very happy and settled; which gives me great peace of mind.
My mother was admitted to Rosehill following a number of infections and falls over a year ago. The lockdown visits were handled very sympathetically, and now restrictions are over they are engaging residents with activities and have had a number of fabulous parties to celebrate the jubilee and other themed days. It is a very happy and family orientated place to visit. The whole team works very efficiently, I am very happy with the service provided.
Very good care home for my mum's needs. Peace of mind knowing she won't fall over now. She gets plenty of help with her meals. The staff are very cheerful and happy and I know she is being cared for very well. A very well organised garden party for the residents last Saturday. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
My uncle has stayed here since January 2022. He is settling nicely and enjoys the garden. The staff seem very friendly and no complaints. The rooms are a little drab and would be nice to be able to personalise - i.e. pictures on the wall. I'm happy my uncle is being looked after.
My mother has been a resident at Rose Hill for nearly three and a half years and is now nearly 99-years-old. Her care has been exemplary since her arrival and has inevitably increased dramatically as she has gotten older. The nursing and care staff have always shown her the utmost consideration and have achieved wonders in treating her severe leg ulcers. She is now entirely dependant on the staff for her daily routine of switching between bed and armchair, washing and personal comfort and provision of meals. The food is always of high quality and more than meets her requirements. Her room is cosy and comfortable, with a pleasant view of the garden.
The review went very well. Social care and care home staff were present at the review. The level of support and care my father is receiving is excellent. The care staff are very attentive to my father's care needs. The manager at the care home will always contact me if there are any issues or need clarification on something, ie, would I want my father to have the flu vaccination.
Mom has been at Rosehill Nursing Home for several years. She has always had excellent care and is treated with great dignity and as a visitor, we are always welcomed and made to feel welcome. The staff are great and always make time for a chat.
The manager and staff have been kind and welcoming. They have made a great effort to help mum settle and do everything possible to make her comfortable and keep her safe.
Understandably, it was not easy for my mother to move into a care home. However, the kindness and positive attitude from the wonderful staff has helped her to feel more comfortable and settled. They have managed to handle what has and still is, a very difficult time amazingly, and we cannot thank everyone from management down enough.
Overall Rose Hill is an excellent home with full time 24/7 nursing care. Very friendly staff with only a maximum of 29 residents. This provides continuity for the residents. Activities are daily, Monday to Friday. Food is varied and plentiful. Only downside is rooms could be refurbished with better shower facilities. I would definitely recommend the home to others.
My mother has been a resident since February 2019. She has been given excellent care and it is obvious that the staff are both professional and caring. She enjoys the food and the company of other residents. On a negative side, Mum doesn't always appear very well cared for on the personal side - she does sometimes smell offensive and without her hearing aids or her dentures safely secured. Although I am aware that Mum can be difficult at times and this is possibly not a fault of the staff.
Overall very happy with my mothers care at Rose Hill. But concerned that, on occasions, feel that when she has had a medical problem eg., chest infection, sore eyes, constipation, doctors should have been called in to deal with the problem earlier.
All staff are very friendly. Had to complain many times about cleanliness of the room and leaving call bell out of reach. The situation has improved with the introduction of a daily diary for staff.
My husband was a resident for the last year of his life and without exception, all the staff were very caring. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I have already recommended Rose Hill to several people for the comfort and kindness they provide.
My Dad was in Rose Hill for 1 week, end of life care. He was very well looked after by the staff at Rose Hill. Also, the family was encouraged to visit at any time of the day. We are a big family and there were sometimes several visitors at once. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were very approachable. We found the manager be very friendly and efficient. She did everything to make Dad's brief stay comfortable. A very big thank you to Dad's nurses and all the care staff. Our Dad was bedbound and so did not take part in the activities, our only reservation would be the lounge with the seating arranged around the edges. Maybe clustered seating would be more homely for residents.
It was the best move for my mum when she came to Rose Hill. She has improved so much, very happy.
This is the second care home where my brother has been resident. The first refusing to readmit him after a spell in hospital, for which I am eternally grateful as the care at Rose Hill is 100%. We are welcomed at all times, the staff never change, and are the most caring and considerate people. The atmosphere is always upbeat and positive, you can always speak to the owners. A first-class home, an example for everyone.
Mother was very well looked after, she was a very independent lady and looked after herself until 100 years old. Had a carer at home until 104, then after a spell in hospital came here at Rose Hill for 4 1/2 years, unhappy at times, wanting to come home, but accepted life here and became a great favourite with all the staff. Very happy memories for me and my family.
Very good overall care, food and activities excellent.
Very happy in all fields.
