The nurses quite honestly more friends in Ratheane could not have supported showed so much devotion and love .I can never thank and love them all so much for the support and love I received to get mummy and me through this horrible journey x
My mum has been a resident of Ratheane since Feb 24. In these past 12 months, I have got married in Ratheane all planned and organised by the home itself so my mum could be a part of it. My mum is so content and happy and the staff go above and beyond. Not just careers but family.
First-class experience from a dedicated team. Great care was shown to my mum. Much appreciate and highly recommend this nursing home. The care was second to none and the cleanliness of the rooms are a high standard.
Thank you to all staff members for their kindness and care of my mother. She was in residential care for ten months and we could not ask for better care. Thank you very much for all that you did. My mother enjoyed the food and got to know several of the other residents which made it easier for her to settle.
My mother spent her last three weeks in Ratheane Private Nursing Home and I have to commend the staff who were fantastic with her. All the staff did their very best for her and I can't thank them enough.
I cannot praise Ratheane highly enough. Each and every one of the staff made my husband and myself feel special and loved up to the day he died there. The staff kept me informed every step of the way when there were problems or hospital visits necessary.
My parents have been residents in Ratheane for the past six months (nursing care and dementia). Overall we have found the standard of care to be very good. The staff are professional, friendly and supportive and when there have been some minor issues these have been quickly resolved. The food is good and very much to their taste. The laundry service has improved greatly. Management are friendly and very helpful. There are plenty of activities which my parents do enjoy.
All the staff in every department are wonderful. I am always made to feel welcome when visiting. Mum is well cared for. I appreciate the work involved especially over the last two years with staff shortages. Well done to you all. Thank you so much.
My father was in this place for five long weeks, where unsatisfactory care was given. During this COVID situation, we were advised that the home had no means to which the residents could communicate with the family. There was no iPad or iPhone offered for us to have face to face communication when we were not allowed to visit. We were told off for phoning more than once a day, which we found very distressing when we could not visit, nor have technological means to communicate. We found the staff's attitude indifferent and rude, where we believed compassion was in order in this regard, due to the COVID restrictions. My father advised the food was poor and his laundry went missing. After an unsighted fall, my father was admitted to the local hospital, from there he spent the last three weeks of his life at another care home.
Very pleased with this care home and the staff are excellent, the manager is a very nice lady and good at her job. I am more than happy with how my mum is cared for. Thank you very much.
This nursing home provided an excellent quality of care for my late mother. The family found all the staff and carers friendly, helpful, approachable and they provided first-class care, especially in her latter days. We have a high regard for this home as it is well managed and clean. The caring and nursing staff have time to interact with the residents and the admin and catering staff are so helpful, supportive and professional. Ratheane Nursing Home helped us all through a difficult time with so much thought and compassion and our family, cannot thank them enough for that.
The staff in Ratheane Private Nursing Home are very dedicated to my sister I have no problems about her care. She is content I can go home knowing she is well cared for. Thanks.
Very happy, good staff.
Since my husband admission to Ratheane Nursing Home in February, there have been a few problems which management attended to promptly. All members of staff are courteous, caring and kind to my husband and me. There is one problem and is ongoing, lost laundry and toiletries, clothes have been missing for months and two quite expensive razors which I find very unacceptable.
A lonely home. Residents are left on their own in their room for long periods of time. The facility is understaffed which restricts the staff from fully meeting the needs of the residents. The exception is the lady who does the activities goes above and beyond to care for residents. I didn’t meet the manager despite my mum being in for a month and visiting every day. On the positive the food is good and the rooms are clean.
My mother has been living in Ratheane for 9 years. I have observed every aspect of her care with rather a critical eye as I work as a registered nurse myself and worked and visited many care homes over the years. The staff are so cheerful, caring and do not hesitate to follow up on a family request. The food is nice, home cooked with fresh fruits and vegetables and continues so as she requires a puree diet. The activities keep her interests up.
