View Full Details of Lynton Hall Care HomeMy husband was totally blind and bedbound but was patiently cared for over the three-month stay. When he died the on-duty nurse was kind, calm and helpful. We were very fortunate to receive fast-track end-of-live continual care.
In November 2023 it was clear my mother (90) had reached the stage in her life where she needed full-time nursing and caring. At Lynton Hall Care Home she found this from the moment she arrived. I was quickly reassured that Mum was in excellent hands and being looked after. The nursing and caring given to my mum were exemplary. I was informed of any issues promptly. My husband and I became part of the community on our regular visits. My mother found new friends, the staff became friends but always professional in their roles. My mum spent the last year of her life in a caring place, all her needs looked after to the very end, December 2024.
Since 5th August 2021, I have been a regular visitor to Lynton Hall. In all that time, the standard shave remained outstanding. In both the level of care administered and the warmth of welcome are invariably conveyed by the staff at all levels. A laudable mixture of professionalism and humanity. There are a wide variety of activities regularly on offer to the residents. Including summer and Christmas parties with special guests and musicians invited to provide high-quality entertainment and the setting provided for the Christmas day lunch is second to none, including an admirable food menu throughout the year. Lynton Hall provides top-class care. Highly recommended.
Perfect in every way. Thank you.
I visit my friend at different days/times. She is always clean and tidy, her room is also always clean and tidy. All the staff are friendly. I would certainly recommend Lynton Hall Care Home.
My friend has been at Hinton Hall for a number of years. During that time she has received the very best of care. We visit often and notice how clean and well-looked-after she is. My friend is in her mid-90s and bedridden so I am not in a position to comment on activities, although there is always a fun atmosphere during holidays and on celebration days. The staff are very helpful, friendly and we see the same staff all the time.
My husband had excellent care here for nearly two years. Wonderful staff. His room was lovely and all concerns were dealt with. I recommend Lynton Hall Care Home. All staff were approachable. When we first visited we had a lovely welcome and everything explained to us. We spoke to the manager and a resident.
Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Very clean, hygienic, well-maintained environment. Really pleased with the care given to my mother.
The care from the staff is exceptional. Travelling from overseas I could not have been more welcome by the staff. My father-in-law's family live great distances apart however we are able to maintain consistent contact with our family members thanks to the care and kindness of the staff. My father-in-law's carers maintain contact with him through personal knowledge of our family. This is invaluable when family members are on the other side of the country and the world! Thank you.
Although Mum's stay at Lynton Hall was very short I know she felt cared for there. As a family, we always found the staff caring, supportive and helpful. When she died everyone handled the situation with empathy and quiet professionalism which was appreciated at a sad moment for us.
On Friday the 16th of February 2024 we took my mum out, and she was acting strange, like she was seeing things that were not there, and unable to talk. We thought she had an infection, so we took her back to the home, and reported it and asked if they can get someone to see her. The next day we called and asked if she had been seen, they said they called 111, they said she was OK, and nothing was wrong with her and not in pain. We did not except this, and went to the home to see her, we were unable to get in. After around half an hour of knocking and ringing, we called the police, they said call an ambulance to do a welfare check. A fast response car came, and we gained entry, they asked to see my mum’s records and spoke to the head nurse, the records were all normal, the paramedic checked her and said she smelt unkept. The paramedic asked my mum to open her eyes, she did not respond, the paramedic did her ops and ECG and was shocked with her heart rate, they took her to hospital.
My father-in-law stayed at Lynton Hall Care home for four weeks for respite care. I had all the usual concerns about care homes but I needn't have worried. The staff are very friendly, and looked after Dad well. Dad was always clean and his very lovely room was always spotless. There were regular activities and a large lounge to sit in with other residents who became Dad's friends. The food was excellent and regular tea, coffee or fruit juice and cake, fruit or biscuits were served between meals. All staff were helpful and provided me with advice and support about healthcare, social care, medication - all sorts. Can't thank the staff enough for looking after Dad very well.
We moved Mum to Lynton Hall about a month ago, this was following an unfavourable stay at another care home, so obviously I was nervous. Within hours of arrival I realised I had nothing to be concerned about. Mum was greeted by name at the door and we were introduced to everyone. They took note of her likes and dislikes immediately and made a fuss of her which made the settling in period easier. Mum had to enter care following a long stay in hospital, which resulted in both physical and mental challenges, since staying at Lynton Hall the changes in her have been so good, both physically and mentally. I live some distance away, the staff have been really good at answering emails and phone calls, and keeping me updated on how Mum is doing. They don’t make me feel like I am bothering them when I call (unlike the previous place). I am really pleased that Mum made the move to Lynton Hall, it's a very friendly family feeling place that couldn’t do more to help.
My husband was brought to Lynton Hall on the 3rd of April 2023. He has been taken care of very well.
My stepfather is always well-dressed clean and seems to have settled very well. His room is always tidy and clean. The staff are always helpful. I am always helpful. I am very happy with him being at Lynton Hall. I feel I don't have to worry about my stepfather and know he is receiving excellent care.
My mother is ninety-two, has advanced dementia, and is totally blind. She was admitted to Lynton Hall Care Home following a five week stay in hospital for a fractured pelvis. From the outset, Lynton staff and nurses have cared for her with great patience and kindness. The home is warm, clean and welcoming and the food is excellent. This has been a big transition for my mother, who previously lived at home with live-in care. Lynton has proved to be a haven, supporting me as well as caring for Mum.
Mum moved into Lynton Hall Care Home in November 2022. We have been very impressed by all the staff who are always friendly, caring and helpful. Lynton has a happy atmosphere which makes it feel like home. Mum is well cared for and content. I would definitely recommend Lynton Hall.
Overall mum is happy in the home and staff are generally really cheerful and happy. Her wheelchair seems to keep disappearing from her room and being used by other residents, but that aside the staff do always try and help locate it.
My auntie was a resident at Lynton Hall for four years before she passed. The staff are friendly and always ready to support with a smile on their face. The new management team are accommodating. My family were surprised to receive a sympathy card with a lovely message from the manager, staff and residents.
Attended the Hawaiian Luau Party organised by the newly appointed manager. I must say the party was fun and everybody enjoyed it. Lots of food and drinks, good entertainment and games were participated by guests, residents and staff. Never seen like that before, such an experience. Residents are well looked after, staff are polite and always ready to help. Can't wait for more parties to attend!
