View Full Details of Wellburn HouseHave no complaints about the home at all. Dad's carer has been excellent overall. Staff have been great and most helpful.
Wellburn House has been a very positive move for our Mum. She had previously been in a home where sadly the standards and care were poor, so we were very anxious about any new placement. However, we are very relieved that after a couple of weeks of her arrival at Wellburn, things seemed to fall into place for her. Certainly, now, after almost 6 months, she is mentally and physically much more stable and most importantly, happier. The staff are kind and considerate and the the manager is proactive, competent and compassionate. We would not hesitate in recommending this home.
The staff at Wellburn are patient and caring. My father feels valued and well cared for, and very much enjoys the activities. He always looks clean and smart, which is important to him and to my mum. His room is lovely, and always clean and tidy - and the meals smell lovely! We are so pleased that the staff at Wellburn are looking after my father so well. He is content, and knowing he is so well cared for, and being able to visit frequently (and being so warmly welcomed by the staff, and him when she does) has resulted in a significant improvement to my mum's health.
Our relation has been at Wellburn House for almost five years, in all that time her needs have been met with dignity and compassion. The management and staff have constantly reviewed requirements when our relation's needs have changed due to her illness. The staff are always looking to improve the care and activities to make our relation as happy and content as possible.
Wellburn House provides exceptional care for my gran. She was reluctant to go into a home initially but is thriving and talks highly of Wellburn. Her highlights are the food and kind staff! Staff members are enthusiastic, caring and know her likes and dislikes. Being able to view photos of her taking part in many activities via the social media page is reassuring and great to see.
This was my first experience of staying in a care home. I stayed for 8 days 'respite care'. My room and ensuite were exceptionally clean and pleasant. The cook produced excellent quality meals and a good variety of options. All the staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. They smiled a lot and seemed happy. They were extremely patient. I enjoyed the outings and activities offered. I will be happy to return for respite or a resident.
Mam struggled at first to settle in but now she is loving life at Wellburn. The staff go above and beyond, the duty of care is second to none and there are constant activities and days out to keep everyone entertained. The food must be great because she has put on so much weight and looks really healthy.
The staff seemed to really care about residents. A nice sense of community and lots of activities for residents to participate in. The lovely green outlook from the lounge and dining area helps create a restful mood and gives a sense of connection to the outside. Staff treat residents with kindness and dignity.
Wellburn House is a lovely homely place and the staff are absolutely fantastic. My aunty settled really well in the home. They are always keeping them entertained, it is a joy going in Wellburn because other residents get to know you and their families. My aunty always said that the food was lovely and whatever she asked for it was not a problem for the staff.
My father has quickly felt at home, despite early resistance. The staff are professional, friendly and very well trained. The home has very good protocols in place. I thoroughly recommend.
Lovely home, great staff, very welcoming, very clean, and lovely food. Good activity level - sadly Mum decided to stay in her room most of the time.
Really lovely home, clean, smells lovely at all times and staff are fabulous. New addition of a staff member is fantastic, great effort in trying to involve my dad! This member of staff has events planned every day! It's a pleasure to visit my Dad here.
I had the responsibility of finding a care home for my dear friend as she could no longer live on her own. After viewing many homes I made the decision that Wellburn House was the right place for her. I have never regretted that decision as I feel she is well cared for and happier than I ever expected her to be. She is safe and well looked after which means everything to me. Wellburn is well-managed and has some wonderful staff. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has a difficult decision to make in choosing a home for their loved one.
Mam moved here in January and settled well. Initially joined in and loved all the activities: as her Alzheimer's progresses she spends more time in her room but still has lovely experiences. Occasional bumps in the road, as you would expect, but overall a positive experience for her and the family. The lovely staff all make her feel valued and loved.
A very pleasant home and atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. All staff were so kind and thoughtful and very professional. My husband was in the home for two and a half years and was very happy there. His end-of-life care was excellent. Staff did all they could to make him comfortable and were very considerate to family members giving us support as well.
My Mum spent over two weeks here for respite care. She was very reluctant to go but enjoyed it so much she didn't want to leave - she loved it! The staff were outstanding. The food was amazing. The activities were very good and the care provided was faultless! Thank you for making my Mum so happy and content!
Mum is really happy at Wellburn House - it is a happy and friendly place. The activities are great and well organised. She is very fond of the staff and they always have time for her and the other residents. She calls it home which is a good sign!
I found the staff very friendly and caring they are very patient with the residents and welcoming to families visiting. My husband was there for twenty days of respite.
Polar opposite to a previous experience for my mum in a care home setting. This was the experience we would expect and the care and devotion of your staff were how it should be. We looked at this experience as a home-from-home for Mam suffering from dementia. Please pass on our gratitude to all members of staff.
Mum recently made the difficult decision to leave her home and move into a care home after struggling to manage on her own. She decided on Wellburn House as she'd heard a lot of positive recommendations from people who know the home. The staff at Wellburn House could not have been more helpful. From visiting Mum in her own home prior to her move to discuss her needs, through to helping facilitate her actual move into Wellburn House, they have been professional and compassionate throughout. Mum has settled in very well and is enjoying the choices available to her. She has the privacy of a lovely homely room with all of her things around her but now has the option to eat in the dining room in the company of other residents and is thoroughly enjoying the various activities provided by Wellburn House. Most importantly, the care provided is first class and every effort is made to facilitate Mum's safety and well-being at all times. It's reassuring for both Mum and all of her family to know that she is happy and in such good hands.
