View Full Details of Isle View Nursing HomeMy father has been in Isle View for nearly 6 years with vascular dementia. In this time he has lost all abilities and requires 24 hour personal care. He receives all the care that we could wish for and more. He is fed by members of staff from morning till night the best of food which he really enjoys. The personal care he receives is excellent in all aspects and we have no worries at all regarding his welfare. We would like to extend a personal thank you to all the staff at Isle View for the wonderful way they treat my father.
Excellent care all round.Lovely staff. I'm very happy with the care Mum receives at Isle View Care Home. The food is wonderful. Also the standard of cleanliness is very high. I would certainly recommend it to anyone having to go into care.
In my opinion, Isle View is a very good care home in a beautiful location, Visitors are welcome without appointment. I have always found the staff to be friendly and communicative, but the best recommendation I can give is to quote my step father, who has been resident there since April 2024. "1 am very settled here, the staff are very caring. I get well looked after and the food is first class"
Mum has been at Isle View Nursing Home for 2 years now, and what a difference I've seen in her! She's nearly 90, and has advanced dementia, so has been gradually deteriorating over that time, but despite that, she has gained weight, is eating and drinking better and is more active. She spends every day enjoying the beautiful view (mum grew up by the sea and LOVES it!), eating the delicious food, enjoying chats with fellow residents and banter and laughter with the staff. She engages less with activities than she used to, but still enjoys a lot of what is provided by the home, especially the new big screen, which allows us to see my brother practically life-size on video calls and enjoy music, videos and old family photos. The care mum receives is excellent, and one of the real strengths of the home is that staff stay - many have been looking after mum since the day he arrived. All the staff including kitchen and IT workers obviously really care about the residents and their families.
I am enjoying a lovely break with my husband in the knowledge my elderly mother is being given the best care possible. The staff go way beyond my expectations in all aspects of my mum's care. Kind words and deeds are never in short supply. The residents are encouraged to take part in a multitude of activities to help keep them physically and mentally active organised by staff and others. Musical afternoons are very popular and several musicians visit the home. I find the staff very welcoming and approachable when I visit and I love the fact I can pop in at any time. I have no complaints and would happily choose Isle View Nursing Home for my own care if I required it. The staff work hard to make it the closest thing to a family outside living at home. I can't praise all the lovely staff enough in their efforts to keep the home spotlessly clean, prepare delicious food, run an excellent laundry service, look after the personal, physical and mental needs of the residents all done with a smile.
All staff are friendly and knowledgeable in dealing with the elderly and their conditions. They go out of their way to learn the likes and dislikes of residents so that they can chat with them about relevant topics which may be of interest. There are a good variety of regular activities, music and arranged visits from animals, eg dogs and horses to add interest and pleasure to the resident's day. All staff are well trained and the carers know when to call on a trained nurse for information or assistance. There is a weekly visit from the Nurse Practitioner who is part of the local GP Medical practice so the resident's medical needs are under constant review in conjunction with the nursing and care reviews the Isle View staff do. There is an excellent cook providing the residents with home-cooked meals using good quality ingredients. My relative is always remarking on how good the food is. He has also stated that he is very content in Isle View and that the staff are lovely.
My uncle is a current resident at Isle View and has lived there for several years. Isle View provides superior quality care to residents which creates a warm family atmosphere and a happy living environment. Having experience of relatives living in other care homes in the Highlands Isle View is, quite frankly, exemplary amongst its peers.
Love the staff, what a good team, they are always polite to family. Management side, excellent, always cheerful and cheeky with it. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who make you feel comfortable.
On visiting with my wife, we were seen to right away. The carer went through everything with us about the virus etc. We were tested and admitted as soon as the results were concluded. Everyone was so friendly, and residents weel looked after. Couldn't fault anything.
An excellent facility with extremely friendly and caring staff well led by the Manager and the Head of Care. My Dad is very happy there and never tires of the stunning views over the Loch and out to sea. The special events, such as celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, that they organise are very well appreciated and fun!
This visit was similar to previous visits. Very welcoming staff. Residents well cared for and happy.
My sister moved into Isle View Nursing Home the end of June 2018 and I have visited her sometimes twice a week for 6 months and have been amazed at how well the home is run. We receive a welcome every time, nothing is a bother to the staff who are very attentive and a tray of tea and beautiful eats are offered every time. I could not wish for a better place for my sister to be. All her needs are met to a very high standard. I would like to thank the owners and staff.
My mother was a resident of Isle View care home for the past five years, suffering from senile dementia. The staff were very sensitive to her needs although sometimes her behaviour was challenging. They were adept at reading her cues and supporting her accordingly. Three weeks ago she suffered a stroke and died on 13th November 2018. Her palliative care was superb, the staff all incredibly caring and going far beyond their remit in looking after her, and caring for us all as a family. It could not be faulted.
Excellent staff give outstanding care.
Care is excellent. Staff are warm, kindly, friendly and attentive. Visitors are always welcome. Flexibility regarding clients' needs and wishes. Staff are unfailingly patient and understanding and family members feel that patients/clients are in safe and secure hands. Highly recommended.
My mother was in Isle View for 8-9 years and as a family, we cannot speak highly enough of Isle View Nursing Home. The standard of care is second to none compared to others in the Highlands. She was always treated with care and dignity as anyone would want a close relative to be treated.
