View Full Details of Mountside Residential HomeI feel compelled to write a review for Mountside. The care and support that they give is fantastic. There's always staff around and if you can't see one, you can press a buzzer and they come on over. Nothing is too much of a bother for them. And they are all so happy - such a great experience!
What a fantastic place. The bedrooms are beautiful and kept to a really nice standard. The staff are very helpful and do anything you ask them to and the activities are tremendous. Really commend the staff for the time they put in with everyone that stays there.
My friend came to stay here to help her to recover and leave hospital. It was great to see her. She had been in hospital for so long and every time I visited her, she looked more tired and frail. She then got moved to Mountside, where it was great to see her up and about and engaging with people again. She had perked up much more and it was great to see the rapport that she was building with the staff who genuinely cared about her and tried to help her to get better.
My grandad came for respite and it really helped. I only visited one day but he was settled and happy. He told me they were looking after him and he had everything that he needed. People kept checking up on him, which was nice to see. So I was pretty happy!
I came to visit my uncle, just popped in without booking or anything. Really warm welcome and allowed me in and showed me to his room. Everything was tippity top. He was happy, the home was warm and relaxed. He said the activities are lots of fun and he likes having company.
It was very nice to be at Mountside with friendly staff and quality food. Everyone treated me kindly and it was run efficiently and in a caring way.
I have lived at Mountside for nearly a year and I feel happy. The staff are caring and helpful, the food is good. I enjoy most of the activities.
I have lived at Mountside Residental Home for over a year and I feel really at home here. The staff are wonderful. The food is really good. The activities are great. I feel supported and cared for.
Mountside Residential home has inclusively at it core. Over the past 18 months I have regularly visited a close friend resident here, we are both members of the LGBT+ community. I can honestly say the welcome to both of us has been genuinely warmth and you feel that inclusiveness is part of Mountside's beating heart. A truly welcoming home.
My father has dementia and now needs more support than he can receive at home. Mountside was recommended to us by someone whose mother is currently there, and they were able to accommodate my dad at quite short notice. The staff are very dedicated and are doing a fantastic job looking after him - it's a relief at a difficult time to know he's so well cared for. It's a big change for my father but he's taken to it well and is enjoying the activities. Communication has been excellent throughout. Thoroughly recommended.
My mother is in there for respite. Only been in there for just over a week, had 3 falls already. Her personal hygiene is not being taken care of properly. Hardly any interaction with other people and staff. Basically sat in a chair day and night. From how my mum was before she went here to how she is now is a completely different person and it’s only been a week. I would not recommend putting your loved ones in Mountside.
My Aunt was brought into Mountside Care Home as a matter of urgency because she hasn’t been taking care of herself. She and I were greeted with such kindness. She was treated well and instantly loved all the staff members who were looking after her. She remains there and is very happy as are the whole family. She loves the food that is brought to her and the entertainment that is put on. She recently had Christmas at Mountside and clearly loved it. Thank you all.
My father-in-law was at Mountside, and as a family, we were really happy with everything. The activities were great, and he had a lot of fun. Also, we could see so much on their social media site, and it gave us things to talk about with him on the phone. I would definitely recommend.
My Aunty was here on respite. Really nice place, friendly staff, good food (so she tells me). I visited once and everyone seemed happy and relaxed. Would not hesitate to recommend it. Everyone does a great job.
I came to visit the other day and felt compelled to leave a review. I just read an article in the newspaper about people being forced out of hospitals and into care homes. Well from my experience at Mountside, I just want to ask why that’s a bad things? My great-aunt has been in hospital many times over the last few years and it’s always terrible and she always cries about wanting to go home. But since she’s been at Mountside, she’s so happy and free and is getting so much help and support. These guys are doing a fantastic job and we really should be highlighting what a fantastic place it is!
The standard of care for my father at Mountside is exceptional. The carers really care, and the management is on hand to answer any questions and help where appropriate. The admin team are also very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. The entertainment programme is stimulating. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
My mum moved to Mountside approximately 6 months ago. This was a difficult move for my mum, due to her declining mobility and dementia, in addition to the difficulties she experiences with her mental health. It took Mum some time to come to terms with her new home and to settle and she could become frustrated with staff. However, at all times she has been treated with the utmost care and respect by all members of staff. Staff members have also been good at keeping me up to date on matters and they are always so friendly when I go to visit mum. I cannot thank Mountside enough for their care of mum, it has been a huge weight off my mind to know how well she is being looked after.
Mum has resided at Mountside Residential Home for five years now. The management and staff has totally changed over the past three years. Covid was worrying however we were able to talk to Mum via video calls. The staff kept us informed how Mum was doing and we could get things she needed for her daily routine, although we could not visit. We visit Mum on a regular basis now and we’ve always found the home clean and the food menu is varied. You can pop in at any time to visit. They have games, films, bingo, singsongs and craft afternoons which Mum can join in if she wants. Having to go into a care home is not ideal but Mum couldn’t cope on her own and needed constant help. We know she is cared for by the staff and has banter with them on her good days. Her room is lovely and she’s able to have her family photos around her. I am very happy to recommend Mountside Residential Home. If Mum's happy so our we.
My father has been at Mountside for three years. He has always been well cared for and is happy with his life at the home. He enjoys the food particularly. He has a very nice room and is very comfortable. All the staff are very caring and considerate. I have peace of mind to know that he is in a safe, caring environment. I have recommended the home to lots of people.
My mother is very happy there because she feels safe. It is very friendly staff go the extra mile and provide a wide range of activities. The room is lovely with a lovely view of beautiful grounds. I'm glad we chose this home. Mum also loves the little dog who is very friendly.
