View Full Details of Ashridge Court Care CentreOverall would recommend it. Manager very approachable and the staff very friendly. Food is made fresh and is nice that I can have lunch with my Mum. They have several small private lounges which can be used for family visits.
Outstanding care! My mum feels at home and very much loved by the staff. Nothing is too much for Ashridge Court. I feel very happy knowing that my mum is in good hands. Her room is very comfortable and warm.
When I have gone in the lovely warm, homely welcome I received the best kind of attention. The staff, manager, nurses and care workers, all work together as a team. Also, I must not forget the activities, they are great too. All service users' families were also made very welcome.
The staff are lovely, kind, caring. They always interact with family & make you feel welcome. One member of staff in particular is a joy & encourages my mum so much & I have a great rapport with her. Another always takes time to chat. Another lady is so helpful with paperwork. And another three carers are fabulous with my Mum. Everyone seems to like her & she has come a long way since she went there last year completely brokenhearted. The atmosphere is always happy. My mum is well cared for and clean. Her room & personnel effects are looked after. The grounds are beautiful. The activities are a joy, especially the entertainment. The food is very good & the choice is excellent. I know it's expensive but compared to other homes but I don't have to worry about my Mum. I can go away knowing she is well cared for.
Both my wife and I have complete satisfaction with my sister living and being cared for in Ashridge Care Home. All the staff are kind, friendly and supportive to my sister. Every day there are activities both in the morning and afternoon in which my sister participates. The food is delicious. The staff go out of their way to make my sister happy.
Dad recently moved from another care home and he has been made so welcome-nothing is to much trouble. The food looks really good I look forward to having a meal with Dad soon. The garden is really lovely.
Ashridge Court Care Centre has offered us hope as a family, our relative following discharge of a lengthy duration in hospital, provision of good attentive care in advancing years of life for numerous care needs. It is also comforting for us as a family to know a loved one is afforded good care, privacy, great respect where dignity is maintained. Care staff teams, including management/supervisory teams all work together in the day to day running of a busy nursing/care home. Great attentiveness in both great and small things make life a joy for residents. Nothing is never too much trouble for their residents. Realistic goals are set or provided if required or needed to offer purpose and to help maintain meaningful purposes for all residents where ever possible. Our relative is bedridden, yet staff are always close by 24/7 and never far away, ready to answer alarm or call alerts. We are so fortunate to have found a wonderful place where good care is provided and great compassion abounds.
Very pleased my relative has secured a place in Ashridge Court Care Centre. The staff are helpful and courteous and there are many activities to join in with if wished. All with the added bonus of good food.
My mother has been a resident for almost a year. She is very happy. The care and nursing staff are excellent. The support staff maintain the environment well and the admin/leadership team are very approachable. There are many activities available but my mother is happiest in her own room which has a lovely view overlooking the garden and countryside down to the sea. I looked at quite a few nursing homes in the area and Ashridge Court stood out as the best. My decision has proved to be a good one.
Staff are very friendly and attentive. They have a good underlying knowledge of the patients and their associated roles. The areas are always clean and tidy. We are always made to feel welcome. We are always welcome for comments on how we can further support Dad's care.
Staff always friendly and welcoming. Room is always clean and tidy. Security and safety in the home is very good. Privacy is respected. If needing to talk to the manager, they are available to answer any queries.
This is an update of my care since 15 June 2022. Back then, I was in respite care. I'm now in permanent care because an accident (not in the care home) brought my rehab to a sudden halt. At times, I still need two carers. While in rehab, the doctor asked if the nurses at Ashridge would be interested in learning how to support my bowel movements or if they preferred to call in community nurses. I don't know how they squeezed time for education in their daily duties, but almost all nurses participated. I still enjoy the combination of professionalism with various individual social skills/intelligence. I have known most of the staff for almost three years. They became family. Has anything changed since 2022? Yes, I will add a star to 'Food and Drink' for satisfying some of my Mediterranean-style food cravings.
My husband is well cared for as he is unable to do anything for himself he is at the end of life care he is made comfortable and his needs are met at all times and the people who look after him are brilliant.
I cannot praise this home enough my brother was 59 when he left hospital to go in to Ashridge Court. He is now 60 the care from the nurses the cooks the entertainment. The health care assistants are 10 out of 10 we visit every day. My brother is always showered and his room is always put on him as he likes to smell nice his room is always tidy, he has a great rapport with the staff. They take their jobs very seriously and are very loving and caring towards my brother, the management is extremely thorough and the communication with my family is fantastic. I can’t praise them enough I have a great relationship with the nurses and all the other staff there thank you, Ashridge Court because of my brother's age and being very young, he refuses to interact with the other residents which is his choice, but he’s always given the choice to go and be involved.
Really very happy with the care my mother has received at Ashridge Court. The staff are fabulous. It is noticeable that they are stretched very thinly but this is a consequence of the UK-wide shortage of care staff. And yet, they still do an utterly amazing job every day. I am so pleased.
Mum was transferred to Ashridge from Hospital for end-of-life comfort care. The staff we have seen have always been polite, kind and respectful to Mum. Due to Mum's circumstances, she is unable to move and she is cared for in a way that keeps her comfortable which is good for us to see as she moves through this last stage of her life journey. Her room is clean and bright and her bed is always set for her comfort. We had a meeting early on with the centre Manager which was very helpful and reassured us that the centre understood Mum's end-of-life care and situation.
It is comforting knowing my uncle is in a safe and caring environment in a nice, bright room and enjoying lovely food. There is excellent entertainment available, but because of his mental health, is not interested in very much. It would be nice if he could be more encouraged to participate. All the staff are very friendly and do try to get him up, but he can be very stubborn. It would be more dignified if he was made to get up, wash and get dressed and to eat his meals in the dining room or sitting in his own room. This would give the staff the opportunity to freshen his bed and clean and tidy his room.
I always feel very welcomed by all staff members, including catering, housekeeping staff and senior managers. I am given an update that ranges from my mother's verbal and physical behaviour as well as her numerous responses that are always quoted. Some very amusing! Moreover, the staff responses when engaging with my mother offers such insight into both the Ashridge Court Care Centre leadership values central to caring for many vulnerable adults. Members of the Ashridge nursing team caring for my mother offers a brief but interesting insight into how they engage with my mother. It is clearly quite a dynamic process and endeavours very dependent "in the moment" whilst being guided by her responses. Moreover, it is a testament of the influence the skills developed central to their individual roles, responsibilities and lived professional experience. I am so fortunate that my mother remains in an excellent environment. of care.
Staff are always very caring, although are not always aware of changes to care package. Activity staff work incredibly hard to deliver variety and have lots of interesting ideas. Kept informed of any incidents although communication with head office is not always good. Some rooms looking a bit tired.
My brother is in Ashridge. He is very well looked after in there. He is happy and that makes me happy too. The staff are very good and really caring. He has a lovely view from his window and can go out into the garden as he needs a lot of fresh air. The staff understand and they make sure he is safe and well looked after.
