View Full Details of Cedar LodgeWould like to say a big thank you to one staff member in particular and team for a great pub night, thoroughly enjoyed it so did my brother. All the staff at cedar lodge are amazing. Would recommend Cedar Lodge to anybody looking for a Care home.
I visit a friend every week. The staff are very attentive. The residents all look happy. I know my friend believes she is in a hotel. She tells me the food is excellent.
My father was a resident in Cedar Lodge for 2 and a half years. He had developed dementia so was no longer able to look after himself at home. Cedar Lodge staff were consistently excellent in their level of both medical and social care. Also of note, any visitors my father had were always complimentary of the high standard of the environment, buildings and surroundings. I would recommend Cedar Lodge to any one looking for a care home package.
So pleased my brother-in-law is now a resident of Cedar Lodge. He has really settled in well. He is a changed person. The staff are very good with him.
I booked for my husband while taking a break from taking care of him. 2 weeks before travel, my husband became very unwell, the manager at Cedar Lodge kidly agreed to admit my husband 2 weeks early before the due date. All staff at Cedar Lodge took great care of my husband. During my visit and other members of the family visits, staff always welcome you with smiling faces. Very pleasant and clean place to stay.
Mum came to Cedar Lodge from another care home in Surrey when after a series of falls they could no longer meet her care needs. She has been in Cedar for just over a year now during which time she has had some periods of very ill health. We have no doubt the level of care and compassion they provide is the reason she is with us today. Her quality of life is far better - varied and stimulating and she is very happy to call it "home". It gives our family great comfort knowing they are providing the best care she needs at this time of her life. We highly recommend Cedar Lodge.
Mum is needing more care as she gets on and Cedar Lodge staff are totally responsive and universally kind to her. I could not give my Mum anywhere near as much care as Cedar Lodge does.
My mum has been a resident at Cedar Lodge for just over a year and is approaching her 101st birthday. She is very settled and is looked after very well. The staff are so caring and nothing is too much trouble. We visited many homes prior to choosing Cedar Lodge and definitely think we made the best choice. There's always so much variety in terms of activities and a lovely atmosphere.
My friend had been in Cedar Lodge for four years right up to her passing away in August. As time went on she became bed-bound but the staff especially one in particular still managed to include her in outside visitors and entertainment. She had so much care and support from all the staff, everyone was so friendly and approachable and was always there to discuss all aspects. When she passed away she was treated with so much dignity and compassion.
Cedar Lodge is a wonderful environment for everyone who stays or visits here. All the staff are amazing and clearly enjoy what they do, caring for the residents. It's always a pleasure to visit.
My brother-in-law was first admitted to Cedar Lodge in June 2022. He was sent directly from hospital on palliative care and was not expected to live for more than three months. However, it wasn't until 22 months later, in April of this year, that he passed away peacefully. There's no doubt in my mind that the extension of his life was entirely due to the care and attention he received during his stay. Whenever his two sons; his niece, or my wife and I visited him he was always in a happy mood and that again reflected the excellent way he was being looked after. On the day he died all five of us were at his bedside and the care he received was exemplary. In his final moments, we had tears in our eyes and so did the nurses. It was obvious they were his friends, as well as his carers, and I cannot praise them highly enough. Equally, the managers and senior staff were incredibly helpful and always made us feel welcome during our visits. The home’s five-star rating is truly justified.
The staff always know where Mum is at all times of the day, they know her (and us) by name. Nursing care is excellent - they can pick up when something is wrong and act on it immediately. They also know Mum's history and regular GP visits are good. It's reassuring for us to know that she is safe and well cared for. There are always lots of activities to engage for all residents.
The care my mother received at Cedar Lodge from the manager to all of her team was excellent. The staff were always polite and the care that was delivered was always with dignity and grace. The home and gardens were well cared for, my mother particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden and enjoying the view. The food was always excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. We are very thankful to all the team for the great care. Thank you.
Nothing has been too much trouble for the staff at Cedar Lodge settling Dad into his new home, discovering his wants and needs and encouraging interaction with other home users, whilst respecting his wish to have quiet times to himself. Everything in his nursing and personal care given willingly and with good grace. The home is spotless, gardens well tended and the new coffee area has proved a favourite for Dad to socialise with residents as well as visiting family - even the dog has been welcome! Having their own wheelchair-friendly transport has been a real plus too.
My friend has been in Cedar Lodge since 2021. I have nothing but praise for all the management and staff. They are simply amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and I would highly recommend Cedar Lodge as a 5-star care home.
I do not know how this place has got 4.5* as my first impression was more money has been put into surroundings than into patient care. £1700 a week is a ridiculous amount of money. My dad should have had 5-star treatment for that money but the way my dad has gone downhill since being there almost a year is unacceptable. My mum wanted to know exactly what was happening and we were surrounded by foreign “professionals” and quite honestly my 76-year-old mum goes alone and says she feels intimidated by them and I could see exactly what she meant. It's funny how there are so many of these “residential care, private homes for elderly” popping up all overrun by ill-speaking foreigners”.
My late uncle was a resident at Cedar Lodge for 2 years and 2 months. I cannot fault the exceptional care he received during that time, nothing was ever too much trouble. My uncle had Vascular Dementia which could be difficult at times but the staff were amazing and treated him with the utmost dignity and respect. As my uncle's power of attorney and next of kin, the staff always kept me updated and fully involved in all decisions relating to his care. They were always professional, approachable and friendly and the team navigated the Covid pandemic brilliantly, with management keeping me updated as to the latest procedures for visits. The home was always spotlessly clean and tidy, there was always a lovely atmosphere when visiting and the staff always seemed happy in their work. If another member of my family needed the services of a care home either for respite or permanent care, I wouldn't hesitate in entrusting their care to the staff at Cedar Lodge. Thank you team, I shall miss you!
My brother spent his last 7 months at Cedar Lodge and in that time he was always treated with kindness, respect and genuine care. Our family have nothing but praise for all the management and staff at Cedar Lodge for all the work they do in often trying circumstances. Thank you for making his last days so comfortable.
I visit my mum twice a week and the staff are always helpful, thoughtful, cheerful, polite and very caring. There is always a good selection of activities on offer. A good variety of food is always available. We are always kept up to date with mum's health and it is comforting to know the doctor visits once a week. The staff make it apparent they enjoy their jobs and it is a happy place to work.
I am so glad I have found Cedar Lodge to care for my mum. It has been a difficult transition for Mum, moving from her own home in Sheffield to Frimley, but all the staff have been very welcoming and kind and this has helped Mum settle in. I consider Cedar Lodge a little gem.
