View Full Details of The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care HomeWhen I visited my Mum today she was having afternoon tea with the other residents. It was a lovely atmosphere. The staff organise some super afternoons and everyone enjoys themselves. It is a pleasure to visit my Mum. I would like to thank all the staff for making my Mums life comfortable and for giving me peace of mind.
From walking through the door the management and staff are caring and empathetic both to the resident and the family. Both my parents have been in care homes but the Old Vicarage really does feel like mum's home. The staff couldn't do more for the residents it really feels like one big family. I really couldn't recommend it more. Thank you for everything you do! xx
My father was placed in this home following a hip fracture. As it was the far side of Warrington it was inconvenient. However, I rapidly came to realise the care was excellent, so when we had the option to move him, we didn't. I always felt welcome when visiting. It was never a problem to speak to staff about Dad and indeed they frequently offered information and updates. All the staff got on well with each other and the atmosphere was homely. Even admin and cleaning staff knew residents by name and interacted with them. The entertainers were excellent - they identified ball games as Dad's favourite activity, the only problem here was there was only two of them! Others involved in Dad's care independently volunteered the information that staff were helpful and knowledgeable.
I am always treated with courtesy and respect. I am involved in my brother's care and consulted when changes in his management as planned. I am in admiration of the relationship between carers and residents, the support and kindness enable their good health to flourish.
Very friendly staff and welcome, nice clean home, all residents look happy and pleased to see you.
I visited my mum this evening, my mum looked beautiful she was glowing and talking to me (she never usually speaks to me) I was so happy that I cried that my mum was looking amazing. I know there’s new staff and I do believe that this is a contribution to my mum looking so well, my mum does relate to younger people, but the care my mum is getting is amazing. Thank you.
Really pleased they are looking after dad very well and the ladies are so happy.
My husband was admitted on the 11th November 2022 and the care they gave him was 1st class. Staff always friendly and willing to have a chat with us. I cannot praise each and everyone enough, they go above and beyond.
Management and staff are all very caring and helpful. Enjoys mealtimes with very varied meals. Would like to use the lounge/garden more often. All staff are doing a great job. I would like to thank you all.
My mother was admitted to the home in October 2022 and since then she has flourished, which is down to the excellent care and attention.
After moving here recently from a care home that didn't have nursing care, my mother-in-law has perked up considerably and looks 20 years younger. She is getting much more involved with other guests and is starting to enjoy life more. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food is on another level. So glad we managed to get her in here.
All the staff are very helpful, and couldn't do enough for the residents. My friend is very happy here. Very good atmosphere and environment. Lovely and clean building. The food looked excellent. Managers are very approachable and helpful.
Without question one of the finest care homes in my opinion. The staff are a credit to the care profession - highly trained, kind, empathetic and superb in all they do. My father has been treated with the utmost respect and dignity and kept comfortable and safe. Their care and concern extended to me and my family. The staff went above and beyond what anyone would expect. I cannot thank them enough for the empathy and compassion we have received. We shall always be truly grateful.
My husband was admitted to The Old Vicarage in September. My family and I are delighted with the care my husband is receiving. The nursing staff and carers are wonderful with my husband. His room is very nice and overlooks the fields. The food is excellent and also the activities are really fun and interaction with the residents is second to none.
My mother moved in on December 23rd (one week ago) and the organisation here is excellent, efficient and very friendly. Easy and accommodating to deal with whilst very professional. My mum is happy and safe here with very caring and attentive staff, making it feel like a big family. Every detail is thought of and maintenance is constant. All round excellent.
Overall, the care home is satisfactory with the patient, my wife, being well cared for.
Great nursing home who have been excellent in the care and wellbeing of my Gran.
I feel my mum gets good care in a safe environment. The staff are helpful and courteous and the home is clean and nursing care is good. I have left the management rating blank as I haven't met the current manager. The staff turnover, particularly at management level, is very high. I do know the deputy manager. There are many issues with the hoist equipment and lack of batteries - this can be a problem for Mum. The activities are excellent and there are many opportunities.
Mum is one of the longest residents at the Old Vicarage being eight years in dementia. They have their ups and downs like most care homes, but their care for my mum over these years has astounded me. They are not just there for mum but families too. When your family member goes into the care system you can feel locked out. I can honestly say, apart from the covid period, they have and still do, support me with Mum. The care staff go out of their way to help you and will talk you through any stage. Always professional.
My aunt has spent the last 8 years in The Old Vicarage, on the Willow's Unit. During this time she has always been shown great respect and cared for by the staff. She has always had her needs met. If I have any queries, they are dealt with quickly. My aunt's care is discussed regularly and I am contacted before any changes take place. There have been lots of activities for the residents and pre-covid, these often included invitations to the residents' families. The staff are caring and make the residents feel part of a large family. Thank you.
