Now my husband has lived in Chegworth for almost a year, I thought U would post an update. I continue to be very impressed. Several times I have found the staff go beyond what is required. Recently my husband needed dental work - the secretary rang round to find an appointment, saving me the stress. The exemplary manager arranged a helper as I would not have managed alone. The chef prepared soft food as he awaits treatment. The nursing staff are excellent at spotting health issues and provide treatment quickly. The activities coordinator does a great job of finding things to interest the residents, decorating the home throughout the year making it colourful and interesting. She even provided cards at Christmas and Valentines day for residents to give their spouse. The caretaker is very helpful - he even finds DVD's he thinks the residents will like. So many examples of staff going the extra mile. The carers are excellent and all staff are welcoming and friendly. A very caring environment.

Our mother was admitted with end-of-life care requirements. The nursing home filled all those duties and more. Their attention to her personal needs and her personality were marvellous. We are eternally grateful.

Overall an excellent, caring and warm environment. Staff are very dedicated. Whenever we visited, staff were attentive and always checking on our father.

I have nothing but the highest praise for the manager and her amazing staff at this care home. My father spent the last 9 months of his life here and the care he received was truly exceptional. You don't come here for 5 star luxury or amazing facilities, but you would be hard-pushed to find a more caring and professional team for your loved one.

I would like to offer the highest praise to this home, its manager, nursing and care staff, domestic and caretaking, and admin. They looked after my brother very well, understanding his particularities and temperament with expertise and compassion right up to the very end. The manager was particularly adept at managing certain diplomatic issues. Well done and thank you, everyone!

Myself and my mother family have nothing but praise and gratitude for Chegworth Nursing Home. The management and staff are excellent in the way they care, support, and encourage our Mother. They have made it a very homely home and our Mother feels comfortable and secure, and feels 'at home'. The attention to our Mother's health and well-being is excellent, which has stimulated improvement. Which is very pleasing.

My Mother was a resident at Chegworth Nursing Home for a number of years. She died recently. She was looked after well. We regularly visited and she was always clean and tidy and her room well kept. The staff were kind to my Mother and were most helpful whenever we visited.

On my visits, the residents all seem happy and well cared for. I am impressed by the number of staff that are on hand to support the residents. There are often one-to-one activities with the residents eg playing games, coloring sheets, and throwing a ball. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and are always happy to talk to me about the care of the resident I am visiting.

Chegworth Nursing Home is a well run and organised nursing home. My mother was a resident for over three years. She was happy there and we were happy to entrust her care to the manager and staff. I spent a lot of time at Chegworth over the years and I found that the staff truly cared for their residents in a compassionate way. It was pleasing to see that the manager ran a very tight ship, which meant that the level of care met a very high standard. The staff are friendly, engaging and thoughtful. They will always be highly regarded in my eyes.

I really wasn't looking forward to finding a care home for my terminally ill mum as I'd heard so many scary things but when I looked into Chegworth Nursing Home's CQC report I was immediately struck by the excellent rating for end-of-life care. I went to look around and everything about the home is fantastic. From her room, the building itself, the cleanliness and the atmosphere. The carers are all amazing and she started eating and drinking after many weeks in hospital of not eating at all. She was treated with dignity and care for her entire stay there. I couldn't have asked for more.

My mother was in a poor mental and physical state on admission to Chegworth Nursing Home from hospital. Frail confused, bedbound with two necrotic heel sores. The excellent care that she has received at Chegworth has turned this around completely. She is more like her old self lucid (most of the time), able to sit in a chair, has an appetite and has put on a little weight. She enjoys social time in the day room and amazingly her heels have headed! We can't thank the staff enough for the wonderful care.

My mother was transferred to Chegworth from the hospital at the end of June 2022. She suffers from dementia and also had a category 3 pressure sore which developed during her stay in the hospital. Within five weeks the staff at Chegworth Nursing Home under the direction of the manager managed to heal the pressure sore through careful and consistent nursing procedures. All the staff I have encountered are polite, helpful, professional and caring and I particularly like the way they interact with the residents. The atmosphere is very friendly and as a family, we are very satisfied with Chegworth Nursing Home.

Chegworth Nursing Home enabled my nan to pass comfortably in a nursing home environment rather than in hospital. In the ten days that my nan was a resident, all of the staff were caring and kind and treated her with great respect. The staff and manager also provided care and support for us as a family at this difficult time. The staff displayed a firm knowledge and understanding of palliative care and I would recommend them for this purpose. We are grateful for their support.

The overall appearance and ambience of the home are bright and caring. The home is always clean and tidy. The staff are pleasant, welcoming and very caring. Mum is always clean and looked after well.

Our mum moved into Chegworth Nursing Home almost 3 years ago after a major stroke left her paralysed and without speech, it was a huge shock for Mum and her family. Now nearly 3 years later, our mum is thriving under the care and attention from the lovely staff at this home. Before lockdown the family were at the home every day visiting Mum and saw how much all the residents were well cared for, they give a personal touch, a little cuddle goes a long way. Every effort is made to make this feel like a real 'home', not a care home. It's clean, it smells fresh, the food is healthy and well prepared, the garden is lovely and residents are taken into the garden often, weather permitting. During the lockdown, we have been kept well informed of protective measures, and the team have video called all the family regularly so we could still have some contact with mum. Thank you to the management and team.

My husband has been a resident at Chegworth Nursing Home for two months. He was bound to bed with a late-stage brain tumour, receiving his medications by syringe drive. This was a difficult and very demanding condition. The monitoring day and night was impressive. I cannot speak highly enough with regards to the care, support, attention and kindness given to my husband by all staff, whatever their role. And not only to my husband but to my son and me as well as we were all going through this disease together. The house itself and the garden were beautiful with excellent facilities. The cleanliness was impressive, the food was always freshly prepared, tasty and plentiful. The team worked hard to provide a range of activities for the residents. Chegworth is an outstanding care home with an absolutely amazing caring team, who go the extra mile to meet the needs of the residents. Thank you. I would recommend this care home to anyone who wishes to receive the best care for their loved one.

My mother sadly passed away in January. The manager and her team are exceptional, thoughtful and professional throughout my mums time at the home. We as a family are very grateful how well our mum was looked after. The manager kept us informed throughout and was very supportive of our family towards the end of our mother's life. A special mention to one of the carers who our mother always seemed to respond to and took great delight when she was on shift.

On our first visit to Chegworth Nursing Home, we immediately noticed how well thought out the set up of this home was and how well it would suit my mother in law. Since she has moved into Chegworth seven months ago she has been happy and contented. She is receiving wonderful care and despite her immobility, she is taken into the large lounge area every day in the company of the other residents. Visitors and family are made to feel very welcome when visiting and there is a lovely summer garden party and Christmas party where all are welcomed and a lovely spread provided. My mother in law loves the excellent food provided and there is a very good choice to suit all. The home is very well managed, very clean and has a lovely homely feel about it. Management and staff are all friendly and approachable. Thank you to all at Chegworth Nursing Home. Highly recommended.
