View Full Details of Barchester Edingley Lodge Care HomeI can't speak highly enough of my stay at Edingley Lodge. Every single member of staff has been kind, caring, and very helpful. The place itself is beautiful, everywhere is spotlessly clean, and the meals are always very nice too. For anyone thinking of using Edingley Lodge, I can assure them they would be making a very wise choice.
Mum has been a resident at Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home since March this year and has settled into her new life very happily. The staff and facilities are excellent. Mum has made friends with other residents and the staff who look after her. There are many activities provided to stimulate her and keep her busy. The food is excellent and can be tailored to the individual needs of the resident. The staff are very caring and look after Mum very well. I am glad we chose this home for her.
My experience of Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home has been fantastically positive since my mother became a resident. The staff are all very caring and look after my mother brilliantly and cater for all her requirements so well. My mother is fantastically fulfilled here and this provides me with the reassurance that I need that she is being looked after to a very high standard. I am happy to endorse Edingley to any future residents.
With very difficult circumstances, my sister and her husband were admitted to their care home. Usually fully independent and look of sound mind, this has been stressful both for them and I'm sure, care staff. However, I found all staff to be caring and showed empathy and dignity at all times. Due to poor vision and struggling with hearing, this sometimes caused confusion, occasionally a little conflict but staff are very understanding. The accommodation is excellent and homely, clean, pleasant. Plenty of activities for a large array of abilities. Thank you.
My stay was very good. Nice to meet other residents that are here. The staff were very good. First-class.
Very pleasant place to be. Everyone is friendly. Excellent care. Food served with a smile every time. The place is spotlessly clean. Will be back here in February and June next year. Can't fault it. Thanks to all staff.
Beautifully furnished care home. Unfortunately, I have two stomas and none of the staff had any idea how to assist me. Food too fancy for me, due to health issues, and very plain food. Lots of clothing lost, a good £100 worth.
My mother's overall experience was very good and the day staff were extremely caring and attentive throughout her respite stay. However, I was disappointed that I was not informed that she had had a nighttime fall and had to follow this up. It was also disappointing that my mother didn't receive support for severe back pain during one of her night stays from the night staff.
Everyone has been kind, helpful and supportive. I have thoroughly enjoyed my room with the open view and great view of the sky, this has been very important to me.
Very happy, the staff couldn't have done more for me. Everyone was extremely kind. (Not part of overall review - activities, good ideas but not all challenging enough for me personally).
This is the second time we have been to the Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home for respite care. My mother needed care while getting better from an illness and she was so well looked after by all of the team. Nothing was too much trouble for them to make her stay resting and enjoyable. The food, company and surroundings all helped to make her better, she joined in the activities and met new friends. What a superb place to be in.
Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home welcomed me for a three-week stay, having been in hospital. Every member of staff helped me gain independence on a daily basis with respect and wisdom. There is a real caring ethos with every staff member. I was encouraged to seek help whenever needed. The food is delicious and homely and nutritious. I received support in dealing with external medical professionals. Activity programme available. Barchester managers need to ensure staff members are higher enough at all times, one or two busy periods/
The home was amazing. My mother-in-law was worried about going into respite and after two weeks stay, she was so settled she didn't want to come home. All the activities arranged she really enjoyed and the staff were just brilliant. Can't thank you enough. Coming back in June 2024.
I was in Edingley following a total hip replacement and I was very in need of care and happy to say my care was very good. The food was excellent and the staff absolutely wonderful. They work so hard. The only thing not as good as when I was in previously was the buzzer not always being answered very quickly. The staff were run off their feet with some very poorly, needy people. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and will certainly go in again when I need care.
I am very happy with the home. My mother is very happy, thanks to the staff who are lovely and friendly. The whole place is fantastic and I don't think she could be in a better place.
Very happy with everything at Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home and the staff are brilliant. The deputy manager is amazing!
I am staying here for two weeks of recuperation after a hip operation and I am extremely impressed by everything I have experienced here.
My mother continues to benefit from the high level of care provided at Edingley. I am confident that her complex medical needs are reviewed weekly and carefully managed. Senior staff always make time to discuss any issues arising or ongoing concerns and communication with myself is excellent. Mum benefits from opportunities to engage with a suitable peer group and encouragement to engage in daily activities. Personal alarms have recently been introduced, which provides her with additional reassurance.
Edingley Lodge is an excellent care home facility. My mother spent three weeks there following a hospital stay. She was treated with care and compassion, and all the staff were lovely. From the surroundings to the food and the entertainment, we could not fault it. We would definitely have no hesitation in recommending Edingley Lodge to our family and friends.
My mum has been a permanent resident at Edingley Lodge from September to November. The care and kindness she has received has been exceptional. Everyone has made her transition from her home with part-time care to the care home with full-time care very smooth. She has settled in very well knowing she is very well looked after. All the staff have made her feel so welcome and the caring and nursing staff see to her needs with great kindness. She is checked on all day and night and nothing is too much trouble. The home is very clean with all the facilities needed for personal care and dietary requirements. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for around the clock care for a family member who is in need of comfort and peace of mind.
