View Full Details of Stanely Park Care HomeIt was a shock when my wife was taken into care at Stanely Park, I had no understanding what life would be like if we were apart. The staff helped enormously for both of us to get through the last year. I could rewrite this review every time when asked to leave a review. My thanks to everyone.
Mum has been well looked after since she moved into Stanley Park Care Home. The home is small enough to retain a family friendly and personal approach to care. Staff get to know family members and recognise each residents likes and dislikes. You feel part of a big family and comfortable coming and going knowing your relative is being well cared for. There is good communication from the manager and staff with regular meetings for relatives as well as a monthly newsletter. Mum's room and communal areas are always kept clean. Special events are celebrated appropriately and there is a wide range of activities and social outings, which all are encouraged to participate as best they can and wish to. There is a lovely garden to enjoy in the summer. Overall mum's experience has been positive.
Both my late Mum and Aunt have stayed/staying in Stanely Park Care Home. The carers go above and beyond for the patients in their care. Very impressive and well run. There are trips and various activities organised for the residents which really boosts them and gives them things to look forward to.
My mum settled in very quickly when she first became a resident and continues to be happy there. They always have such lovely Xmas decorations, festive meals, and events for residents to enjoy. It has such a warm inviting and friendly atmosphere not just at Xmas but all year round and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
I am delighted that my Aunt has been able to make Stanely park her home. The staff are lovely, the home itself is cosy, clean, and welcoming, the residents are well cared for and there are lots of activities to get involved in.
The care home is clean, warm, and with lovely staff. Meals appear to be good quality. Residents are are involved with all sorts of activities and regularly there is entertainment guests including; singers, dancing, pets, and days out.
My Mum has now been a resident of Stanley Park care home for almost 2 years. Despite initial resistance to any form of residential care, the staff helped her to settle quickly into her new surroundings. Almost 2 years later she speaks warmly about living within the home. During my visits to the care home, I am always impressed by the staff's care and attitudes on display. The home is maintained to a high standard. Senior staff hold regular relative meetings and are keen to keep relatives appraised of personal matters involving our loved ones, and also keen to appraise relatives of any developments within the care home.
Since my mum went to Stanley Park I have been exceptionally happy with all aspects of her care. What I like is that she is treated as an individual and the carers have made a real effort to get to know Mum and tailor her needs around that knowledge. Carers are very kind and are able to cajole my mum when she is feeling down. The home itself is cheery and bright and very clean and tidy as is Mum's room which has all her own possessions, making her feel at home. I also notice when I arrive that the carers are attending to the residents and not talking amongst themselves; they are always visible and busy. There seems to be plenty of activities and outings as well. The home gives the atmosphere of assisted living as opposed to other homes. The dining room resembles a lovely cafe with a choice of menu. The only criticism my mum has is the food but as I have not eaten it I cannot comment. It could just be it's not to her taste. I am glad my mum is a resident and not in any other home.
Mum has been in Stanely since the beginning of the year, No surprise it took a while for her to settle however, during this transition period all staff from domestics to seniors were fantastic. The home itself is spotless and the garden offers a lovely private oasis of calmness for residents in the summertime. Overall, Mum is very well looked after talking positively about her surroundings, staff, and of course the food. Thanks to all staff for the experience you provide.
My mum has been at Stanely Park now for over a year and has really settled. In recent months she is looking much better and seems much less agitated. I really enjoy coming to visit her now. Recently she went on one of the outings and had a great time. It was so nice to see pictures of her out and enjoying herself. I would also like to comment on how clean the home is with staff always washing floors and hoovering rooms. Thank you for taking such good care of my wee mum.
Mum has been at Stanely Park for nearly three years. Mum has settled well. Home is spotless and Mum is always clean and tidy. I always get phoned with anything regarding Mum's health. Manager has a well run home. Staff always make you feel welcome. Keep up the good work. Thank you for everything you do for Mum.
Welcoming, approachable staff who know the residents well and always appear cheery. I know that my father is cared for and kept safe, which gives me peace of mind. Thank you all for your hard work, it doesn’t go unnoticed and is very much appreciated. I can’t really comment on the food as I’ve only seen dinner served on one occasion.
I'm a relatively infrequent visitor to my mother and I have no particular issues with her care. The care home have responded to anything I have ever raised with them, and that has been appreciated. My mother is incapable of partaking in nearly all activities and therefore I cannot rate what goes on in the home.
Always a friendly face to greet you when visiting. All areas are well looked after and clean. All the staff take time to know you, and my aunt feels safe and well looked after. The residents are kept entertained with a variety of activities. Also, I am kept up to date with everything about daily activities by a newsletter.
My mother has resided at Stanely Park for several months now, and the level of care provided is first-class. Staff members are very attentive and understanding. My mother is happy and content in her new surroundings. There is always someone at hand to deal with life’s little trials with great care and a minimum of fuss. The home itself is in very good order, and private and communal areas are very well maintained. As ever, it always comes down to people. The staff within Stanely Park are first class; they make it work. Take a bow, folks. And, thanks.
We are very happy with Stanely Park and my mother's care. The staff are great and my mother always seems to have a smile on her face. Activities could be better but very happy overall.
My mum has been a resident here for 2 and a half years. The home has a lovely atmosphere and we are always made welcome by the friendly and very caring staff. Mum is settled, happy and content and we have no concerns over her care. The communication in particular is great, I’m phoned regularly to let me know about anything relevant to Mum’s health or care. We feel we have got to know the staff well and can’t praise the manager and her staff any higher. Thank you for your hard work and the love and care you show for my mum, it shines through.
My uncle has been a resident for nearly eighteen months since being released from the hospital after a hip fracture following a fall. The quality of care provided by Stanely Park has been exemplary, and this is fully reflected in the vast improvement in my uncle's well-being and general demeanour. He is now accustomed to using a Zimmer when walking, which has greatly reduced the chances of him having a fall. His medication has been stabilised. He has regular haircuts and podiatry visits, and his diet and general health are robust for someone approaching 93. He chooses his moments to be sociable and interacts well with staff. He reads the daily papers assiduously to keep up with current affairs and the financial markets and enjoys the radio and TV for sports, news and documentaries. Overall, a marked improvement from trying to live independently at his flat and a great relief to family members who were always concerned about the next accident that might befall him. Thank you all!
I saw my relative on a Sunday morning in August. We decided to visit on the spur of the moment, and I was delighted my relative was sitting with a drink, calmly watching his TV. The thing that singles out Stanely Park is the quality of care. Care is what is needed, and Stanely Park staff deliver it. My relative has now been in the home for four years, and we are happy with the service provided by the committed team at Stanely Park. Given all the challenges of lockdown and Covid, they always seem to put the residents first.
My mum first stayed at Stanely Park for respite, and thankfully, we managed to find a place for her here when she needed 24-hour care, she has been a resident since Nov 19. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for her. The food is delicious and entertainment fabulous too. One lady keeps Mum going with her knitting. Her room is not the biggest but is adequate for her needs, and the staff have kept all the residents safe through Covid too. Would definitely recommend this care home.
