View Full Details of Alexander Care HomeI have found the home to be caring and efficient. Members have been more than happy to set up Skype calls so that I can remain connected with my friend. This was especially helpful during covid and more recently during my own recovery from a broken leg. We have privacy on our calls and see my friend in her room. I enjoy any kind of involvement with the home for example I'm looking forward to the Christmas outing.
More training needed with catheters; often catheter is not attached to leg properly, needs to be checked in the afternoon as it is sometimes very full and sometimes it has leaked. More use could be made of outside space.
I enjoy visiting my father knowing he is safe and well looked after. The staff here are helpful, nothing is a problem the support that he gets is first class. We are looking forward to seeing where the new year brings us as a family.
My sister has Dementia and is well cared for at Alexandra, the staff are very kind and caring, the facilities are well suited to what comes across as a family environment. My sister appears contented and happy. Her siblings are all very happy with her care and we find the staff and management very approachable and accommodating especially as Covid 19 has presented great challenges.
Very comfortable room, food good, very well looked after by the lovely staff. Thank you to you all.
From the time my wife entered the Alexander, she has been treated with love and care from all staff, and we regard it as a blessing that this care home was available for its continual care shown.
Very pleased with Alexander Care Home. Staff and management are excellent. Thank you for all you do for mum.
The whole package is excellent.
This home is a caring family type to live in where those who need care get very well looked after and with good food too. You have done a terrific job during the pandemic in keeping residents safe. Thank you all for that.
She has been treated with care, compassion and has been very well looked after by the caring and friendly staff. Making it easier for me to know I'm doing the best I can for her.
My mum has been resident here for the last 7 months, she suffers from dementia, and since she was admitted in December, she has begun to thrive. She is well looked after by the staff, is always clean and tidy. Would recommend it to anyone, the staff are so lovely and caring. I wouldn't want mum to be anywhere else.
My friend has dementia and until September 2017 lived at home with a care agency providing support on a daily basis which worked. However, due to his mental health and physical health deteriorating, he moved into Alexander Care Home. Ask me how to describe the care and support my friend receives in one word - Fantastic. The staff make the home into a home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The residents' needs always come first and family-friends who visit are always made so welcome. It really is a home from home. My friend is very settled and likes all the staff. They provide a fabulous service. Thank you.
This is a very well run home with caring staff, excellent food and nothing is too much trouble.
I have come into Alexander Care Home for respite care and I have only praise for the staff they all care for you and always have a nice word with you this includes all staff day and night, the chef, cleaner and the person who does the laundry. The home is lovely cheerful and very welcoming to you and visitors. The rooms are lovely whatever activity goes on you are made welcome every where you go it's spotless. I would recommend this to anyone either a long stay or short stay. The staff deserve this praise they go out of their way to make you welcome, safe and looked after.
Since my old family friend and work colleague has been in here, his health has improved. The staff have been great. The care and attention could not be better.
My general impression of Alexander Care Home is that it's a good place to be for my mother. Well run, open/transparent, clean, safe and caring. The staff are friendly and look after residents. Over the two years of my mothers stay her health became stable and she's been relatively happy with her care over the last 12-18months.
Mum is looked after and comfortable in her room which she never leaves, the activities lady plays some games with her and she has a good chat with all the friendly staff. They are excellent, as are the management who are very easy to talk to at any time. Overall she is happy and well cared for and her needs are met with dignity.
My mum has been in this care home for over 4 years and her dementia has gradually worsened over this time and she is now fully bedridden. The care home has managed through her different stages of the condition. I think the staff are a major part in any care home and the staff here are very caring and aware of each individual needs. Very clean and tidy and food menu seems good. Sometimes there does seem a shortage of staff present. I like the fact there is staff member for activities.
Dad has been in the Alexander Care Home for over 2 years now and he consistently says he is well looked after. We visit every week and have always been made to feel welcome. My sister also visits each week, on a separate day to myself and she too feels very welcome. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we have witnessed many instances of empathy and caring above and beyond basic requirements.
I visit my mum weekly and find my mum is well looked after and to see her with a smile on her face is reassuring to me. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
