View Full Details of Trowbridge Oaks Care HomeMy mum wasn't looking forward to going into respite but she said the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, the food was very good, the home was kept very clean and she felt safe. She was also very complimentary about the nursing staff and added that she would be very happy to return next time. I noticed that the residents seemed to be enjoying the optional activities which were going on when we visited to check out the home, when my mum booked in and when we collected her. There was a bit of a problem checking her in and trying to arrange payment, due to the staff members that normally dealt with this not being available but that was our only issue. My mum is still talking positively about the experience several weeks after her return home so it must have been good.
Mum was not with you very long before she passed away but in the 3 weeks she was there she was cared for extremely well and kept very comfortable. Without exception all the staff were kind and caring often going in to chat with her. My sister who visited daily to sit with Mum was also made to feel very welcome.
The staff arranged and hosted a wonderful celebration party for parents' 70th Wedding Anniversary. They decorated the room, put on a marvellous buffet and beautiful cake. Bought flowers and a lovely card. Also flowers were sent from Bupa. They came in on their days off to help and join the celebration. Their love, care and kindness has no bounds. The biggest thank you to them all.
My brother has been a resident here for over 13 years and I can honestly say this place is absolutely brilliant. I have never had any issues with the staff or the care my brother receives. If there are any medical issues I am kept fully informed as to the problems and progress. I couldn't wish for a better home for my brother to be in.
What a lovely afternoon I spent with my former neighbour and friend on the 5th to celebrate him being 100! It has such a welcoming atmosphere. A lady with her dog was entertaining a group of residents when I arrived. This was followed by a game of dominoes with a very professional and efficient member of staff. A lovely smiling lady passed around tea and birthday cake. It was a joy to see so many carers get up close and personal with my friend, making him smile. Such a wonderful gentleman deserves all the happiness he can get. Thank you.
I am generally pleased with my mother's care. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and treat Mum well, chatting with her and often having a laugh as Mum has a good sense of humour. Mum hasn't been so well the last couple of months so doesn't often tend to join in the activities, which is a pity as there is usually something going on and the organisers are very good. Top marks for lovely food, which Mum really enjoys.
A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon spent with an entertainer playing the accordion and the entertainment staff.
This review is regarding the recent fete. The place was buzzing with excitement. Lots of great food, stalls and even donkeys! The staff worked so hard to make the day enjoyable. Fun had by all.
The home is incredible! They put on so many amazing events including the summer fete! All the staff are so kind, caring and fun. I couldn't ask for better people to look after my nana and grandad!
I would like to thank the staff for all their hard work in making the summer fete a high success despite the weather being bad. We managed to get Dad to come out of his room and he was tapping his hand along to the live music which he really enjoyed. It was a wonderful afternoon.
Trowbridge Oaks Fete Saturday 22nd July 2023. Mum 93 has been at Trowbridge Oaks since February and we cannot thank everyone enough for the care and support she receives. She is content and very happy and loves being a member of your special family. Now to the Fete - What a lovely family occasion; inclement weather didn’t stop the festivities-in fact the weather made us move indoors and somehow brought us all closer together and there was a large turnout. The manager and her team worked really hard to put on a wonderful afternoon and the resident MC made sure all progressed smoothly. All the staff worked tirelessly to provide the many stalls culminating in a huge raffle! There was musical entertainment from a local guitarist/singer and mention must be made of the ’ in-house’ Ken and Barbie singers and dancers! The Mayor was in attendance and met many of the families. Overall a great day that hopefully secured much-needed funds.
My mother came in for just over two weeks of respite. She was a nurse for 60 years and was very impressed with the quality of care provided. She also found her room and the lounge very comfortable and the food very tasty. The staff were very warm and caring.
The care provided by Trowbridge Oaks Care Home is, in my experience, exemplary, the staff are respectful and very friendly. When mum first moved there she was quite withdrawn and it was difficult to communicate with her but being around other people really brought her out of herself. I would highly recommend Trowbridge Oaks for their excellent care
My mother has been in this home for twelve months. I cannot fault the home, food or staff. The food is very good, tasty and varied. The staff are always friendly, helpful and done with smiles. I visit my mother at lunchtimes to assist her with lunch, the staff always show their gratitude and never take it for granted. If I need a nursing home, I've told my daughter to put me in this one.
I have been able to use my frame again and walk about and this has brought me great joy. Went to activities and met residents and try activities. I made good friends and had a lovely time. Nice to see different people. I was pleased with the food. The people employed were wonderful. All in all, had a lovely time at Trowbridge Oaks Care Home and would be back again.
We appreciate what the staff do for us, thank you.
My father's general care is good but being blind, he needs to have someone sat talking to him. My wife and I visit twice a week and my sister and brother once a week but to him, it seems like no one has been to see him for weeks at a time.
I always find the staff very friendly, the home is always clean and I am always informed of changes with my gran's medication and GP visits. I am very happy knowing my gran is well taken care of.
I attended the Jubilee party on the 3rd June 2022. The weather was good so it was held outside which was decorated, and the whole event has a lovely atmosphere. The entertainment was really good and the food was excellent. The staff were all really friendly and attentive. The residents all seemed to enjoy it and was lovely to be able to all be together.
The home is fantastic. My sister loves it at the home and they can't do enough for her.
