View Full Details of Anson CourtMy mother has been a resident at Anson Court since January 2023. I have found the staff to be kind, approachable and considerate and often going above and beyond. The home is clean and comfortable. There are plenty of activities available and my mother's bedroom and bathroom are large, very well kept and clean. My mother appears to be happy, settled, well cared for and well-fed! Thank you.
My father has been at Anson Court for six months. The staff have been very kind and caring, ironing out all the little difficulties that arise when someone first goes into care, with patience and understanding. There are activities to take part in - Dad especially enjoys the weekly chair exercise class. The gardens are peaceful and a joy to walk around. The rooms are bright and airy, comfortable and clean. Care is tailored to every individual need. Varied menus and good choice of food. Thanks, Anson Court.
Really pleased with the way Dad is looked after at Anson Court. Lots of activities and a nice buzz to the place. Constant supply of food and drinks. Flexible, helpful staff. The manager is always 'present' and encourages constructive feedback with her motto being 'she can't fix it if she's not aware'!
As a family, we were looking for a care home for my mum who needed respite care. We viewed a few homes and Anson Court was by far the best. The care and kindness given to my mum is outstanding. The communication with me is excellent, which is a comfort to me and my daughters. The care home is especially clean and Mum has an ensuite bedroom so she can remain independent in all aspects of her personal care. I enjoy seeing pictures of Mum on social media taking part in the wide variety of activities that are provided. It is nice to know what Mum has been doing. When I visit, the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Mum and I especially enjoy going to the Sunday coffee mornings together. The addition of 4 rabbits in the care home has given me something to talk to Mum about. We try to go and see them, which gives Mum a chance to get some fresh air and have a walk. There is so much on offer at Anson Court and my mum is very happy there.
My husband has just had a respite stay at Anson Court. Why Anson? Because every member of the team works together for the best outcome for both residents and their relatives. This was our first respite break since my husband's dementia diagnosis many years ago and I was naturally apprehensive about how he would settle in. Sadly, it was a struggle for him. However, the staff on Dove and the whole Anson team showed the utmost professionalism and understanding, working with the man despite the disease. It was reassuring to know that I had left my husband in the hands of such skilled and caring individuals. I am in awe of them. My sincere thanks to all at Anson for the care and attention they gave to my husband. Thank you for helping me to better understand what this beastly disease can do and special thanks for sharing some of the techniques of managing behaviours. I have no hesitation in recommending Anson Court as a safe, welcoming and very caring home.
My nan has been in Anson Court since January 2024. Moving into a care home was a huge change for her and it took her a long while to settle however the staff could not have been kinder to her or more helpful to ensure she settled eventually. There are always so many activities going on or people to talk to for Nan which is great. She really likes all of the staff, they are very friendly and always willing to help her with her care. If I ring to check on her all the staff know who she is and how she is doing. The manager has a very caring manner and knows the residents well. She has been extremely kind and accommodating for our family and we are so pleased with the care Nan is receiving.
Sadly my mother passed away on 27th September 2023 in Anson Court. The care she received after a stay in hospital was excellent. The carers treated her with compassion and dignity and went above and beyond the call of duty. The manager and assistant did everything they could to make her last days as comfortable as they could be. They also took me into consideration at all times. I can't thank you all enough.
My wife is always happy to go in for the day she settles quickly and is nicely received and made to feel welcome by the staff. At the end of the day, she is happy and had a good day looking forward to going in again.
My mother attends the day centre twice a week. The staff are amazing and she is always welcomed with a big smile. The care and attention she receives are wonderful and she is so happy to attend. There is always a lovely atmosphere and I feel secure in the knowledge that she is safe and happy and having lots of fun. It gives me such peace of mind. She eats really well while she is there and the staff have gone to a lot of trouble to encourage her when she has gone through phases of not being so keen. Thank you.
I recently had my mum come to stay as a permanent resident of Anson Coury. Wonderful place it is. The staff are amazing, very friendly, caring and supportive. Everyone has made my mum feel so at home here. She's a changed woman. Everyone here works so hard, and they all deserve so much praise.
My 97 year old father is a resident of Mosquito Unit. The staff treat him with kindness, respect and dignity. I am very happy with the dementia care that my father receives. The facilities and his room are kept very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Anson Court to anyone that has an elderly relative that needs care.
I found Anson Court to be a lovely home, always clean and very tidy. The staff are very lovely, kind and helpful towards all residents. My cousin is very, very happy here. I am always made most welcome every time I visit my relative.
My aunt was extremely happy on Lancaster and really well looked after by most of the staff who treated her like family. In her last two weeks, which were very distressing, the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. We felt they went above and beyond! Thank you so very much.
Wonderful care and looking after everybody's individual needs. Carers go above and beyond in all cases of care and nice manner to deliver the care that is needed. From reception to domestic and carers all are friendly and helpful. This has been a difficult year for everybody, especially you guys, so well done to all of you.
My sister moved to Anson Court after the closure of another care home. She immediately was made most welcome. She has a large comfortable room and bathroom. The staff seem very kind and understanding and efforts are made to lay on a range of activities for the residents which my sister thoroughly enjoys. Though I feel that it would be good if there were more days out (visits) arranged. On visiting Anson Court I have found the premises extremely clean and well-furnished. The management ensure all covid-19 precautions are met by the staff and visitors. Overall I feel that Anson Court is a very good home and provides an excellent experience for my sister.
Very good, friendly home.
We came to visit our relative and had a very pleasant time. There were 2 members of staff on hand at all times who interacted with all the residents with care and compassion. They had obviously taken care to get to know the residents.
All of the staff at Anson Court are very helpful and friendly. They were especially welcoming when Mum recently came out of hospital. Since returning to Anson Court both her physical and mental health have improved immensely. The staff are encouraging and always make sure to pop into her room on a regular basis, giving assistance where needed. All in all, Mum is very happy there.
I am really pleased with the respect and care that my mother receives at Anson Court. The staff in the unit are both loving and caring (with a couple of exceptions). Staff are always willing to listen and help. Downstairs at reception, they are happy to answer any questions or queries that I have. I would recommend Anson Court to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
'Right place, with the right people.' The unit is well designed - day room and bedrooms. Staff are understanding, sympathetic, and caring.
