From the first visit to secure mum a place, the support and assistance given to her has been excellent. The kindness shown by all staff is exceptional and I cannot thank them enough.
Mum moved into Pytchley Court on 22nd July and a huge weight was taken from my shoulders. Every single carer or staff member is so cheerful, professional yet personable, and incredibly helpful. Mum can be a little bit awkward but she is treated with kindness, respect and dignity. Having been a carer myself I know just how demanding the job can be and I cannot fault this care home - the staff genuinely care. I am always informed of any changes in Mum; whether she's just off her food, or needs antibiotics. My dad and I joined Mum for Christmas Day and the food was seriously good. We have enjoyed quizzes, singers, musicians, exercises and they make a great cuppa. Both Dad and I, feel a huge sense of warmth and welcome when we enter Pytchley Court. Thank you, each and every one of you, for taking the time to make the last few years of my Mum's life so comfortable.
My mother has been a resident at Pytchley Court for over five years now and in that time, she has received exceptional care from the care staff and other members of staff. You can tell by the way she smiles and interacts with them that she sees them as her family. The staff are always very helpful towards family members and visitors too - nothing is too much trouble. It is comforting to know that she is so well looked after and we are extremely happy with her care.
As Christmas approached, the home was extremely busy preparing for festive activities. There was an atmosphere of excitement and joy. Activities involved residents, visitors, staff and local children. They enjoyed a themed winter wonderland party, with staff being dressed in Christmas outfits. There were intergenerational activities. Father Christmas was central to some of the events. The home continues to provide a first-class service to residents with a wide range of differing conditions. The service extends to family and friends of residents. Staff are very caring and proactive in making residents feel loved and cared for. Up to date information is readily available regarding resident's health conditions, needs and wellbeing. This home provides an excellent service for all.
I visit my mother daily since she arrived in October 2023. Her care and support have been excellent! She is well fed and her room is always spotless. The staff are always friendly and helpful to both my mother and myself. The staff put on lots of activities throughout the week and family activities on weekends. Extremely happy with the care home!
The staff are excellent. Always very friendly and get well looked after. The food is brilliant. Always clean and tidy.
After ten weeks in the hospital, the welcome to Pytchley Court was very warm and caring. The manager and all involved worked well as a team with lots of smiley faces.
The home staff arranged birthday celebrations for my father's 105 year birthday. They also arranged reporters from local press and radio to interview us to celebrate a magnificent 105 year life. Staff at all levels were attentive and brought (nearly) all residents into the lounge to be entertained by a duo of singers. They entertained beautifully. Arrangements were also made for a cake to be presented and distributed among all residents at evening meal time in the dining room. Many thanks to all the staff and management.
Excellent care. Professional and homely atmosphere.
My dad has been a resident for four months. The admissions and settling process has been hallmarked by professionalism, efficiency and genuine care. The highly experienced manager sets clear priorities putting the resident's needs first. All the staff I have met are genuinely motivated and clearly empathise with their 'extended family'. They clearly understand the importance of communication, engagement, stimulation and activity to help residents be as happy and comfortable as possible. Other homes may be structurally more modern and expensively appointed but 'A' is the quality of the personal care that is the single most important factor when selecting a home.
My mother was in Pytchley Court Care Home for nearly 2 years. In that time, she received excellent care. All members of staff were very kind and considerate. In the last weeks of her life, she received outstanding care. The staff were very kind to me during this emotional time. I cannot thank them enough.
Mum was sent here for a 6-8 weeks review from the hospital. Management called me and talked me through what would happen and what to expect. Ongoing care has been very much appreciated and delivered to a very high standard. Mum has almost been a different lady. Happy, easy to talk to and communicate with. Thank you.
My grandmother spent nearly five years in this care home. The care she received was the best we could have wished for. The staff are friendly and caring not only to the residents but to the relatives as well; they often go above and beyond in their roles. The residents are treated as individual people, and time is taken to understand the resident's personalities and individual needs.
We have been very very pleased with the care and compassion that the staff have given to our relative. We gave been able to go away and know they are in safe hands and will be looked after and be safe. We feel that the building is in need of some TLC including a new heating system and new windows and the garden needs a complete makeover so the residents have somewhere to sit in the good weather and enjoy some fresh air. Overall the care has been excellent and would like to thank the staff for all their hard work.
I was extremely happy with the care my wife received whilst resident in Pytchley Court, nothing was too much trouble. I also was very glad for the support I got from the management and staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pytchley Court to anybody looking for a friendly, caring home.
Mum received excellent care from day one when she was downstairs, until the day she died. The staff were all so loving with her and it was warming to see her reaction to them, even at the end she always had a smile for them. Thank you so much for looking after her so well for us.
Sadly my wife died recently having been at Pytchley Court for over two years. Throughout her time there the care has been outstanding. This I believe is due to a team spirit governed by senior management. I am most grateful.
I have no concerns with the home and Mum's care. Staff go above and beyond.
It has become so much more challenging for staff working in care homes since covid and the carers, nurses and support staff at Pytchley Court Care Home worked incredibly hard just to get through an average day. And yet even so, my Dad's care has been great, especially the emotional support he has gotten and staff's efforts to enable us to still see my dad and take him out. We are also grateful for the nursing staff's work with my dad trying to make him as comfortable as possible, with illnesses such as parkinsons and dementia, the answers are never clear cut and there is never a perfect outcome, only to do the best they could for him, which they did. All staff tried so hard to make my dad's experience as lovely as possible and I know how challenging that must have been under the circumstances of lockdowns. Carers, nurses, support staff and admin and management all made us feel so welcome and at ease, I couldn't have wished for better, more caring people to be around my dad.
