View Full Details of Barton Court Care Home LtdBarton Court Care Home provided Mum with a lovely, clean, warm room. They were very accommodating when it came to Mum wanting her own bed and chair in her room. The staff were very good at recognising any health problems Mum had and always kept in contact if any occurred. Security at the home was very good. We were always made welcome.
My wife has been in Barton Court Care Home Ltd for just over a year. She settled in within a few days, thanks to the wonderful carers and all the other staff. Myself and my family do not think we could have found a better care home for her. She seems to be so happy there. Thank you so much, keep up the good work.
This is a fantastic care home, staff are amazing and treat residents with individual care and their needs with time and patience. I have a dear friend who has been in the care for a few years now and sometimes he's not been the easiest but the staff have been great with him. Can not fault anyone and the home is always clean, tidy and welcoming.
I feel my Mum has been well looked after, ever since she has been in the home, I feel she is safe and happy. The staff are very approachable, and friendly. Also, I feel I can visit my Mom whenever I feel I need and want to see her. I am so pleased we were able to get her in Barton Court, as a family we could not give her the care and attention she needs. We hated to have her away from us, but they have helped ease the pain with their support and care.
My dad became a resident in Barton Court in October 2022 after being moved from another care home as he was very unhappy. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they give to my dad. He is now happy and content, joins in with outings and different activities within the care home. The home is very clean, staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone looking.
Staff have been welcoming and supportive to both Mum and our family, always cheerful. Mum has settled well and enjoys the company.
I came to Barton Court in May this year just to see what it was like. I have now decided to stay for good. I have found the place is cleaned every day and is always bright and has plenty of fresh air. The carers and all staff are very friendly and helpful... could not do enough for you. They give you plenty of varied meals, and if you wanted more, you only have to ask. There are three gardens to sit in, one with exercise machines. The doctor comes once a week if you need to see him. Also, the hairdresser and chiropodist. The entertainment - there is something going on every day if you want to join in. Also, outings in the minibus and two or three barbecues, weather permitting. Entertainers come to the home. I think I have found the best care home.
My dad had been at Barton Court for 6 months and I can highly recommend the facilities and care he has. He suffers from severe dementia and some mobility problems which are both managed respectfully and patiently. In my experience, all staff, without exception, are resident focused and will spend whatever time is needed to ensure residents are safe and content. The surroundings are very light, spacious and airy with outdoor areas available in the warm dry weather. There is also a varied variety of activities available for anyone who wishes to take part including trips out. The menu on offer is always varied. My dad's occasional medical needs are always attended to by visiting Healthcare professionals along with a visiting hairdresser and podiatrist. Since moving here from another care home my dad has made great progress due to all the reasons I've mentioned. If you are looking for a fantastic care home then you really should give Barton Court serious consideration.
My mother stayed here for three weeks respite care following a recent fall. Both her and the family found all the staff delightful, cheerful and very helpful. The food was great as were the activities. We would recommend this home.
Barton Court was our first choice. The staff are very pleasant and work hard, sometimes feel they are understaffed for the huge amount of work Covid safety has put them under, Covid testing, etc. Also, many more residents now since my mum went in, in January 2020. There is always a clean and well-presented building and meet the needs of residents as best they can.
During the height of the pandemic, we were forced to put my father into Barton Court after he nearly burned down the house. For the first 5-days, he kept telling us he wanted to go home. But then, suddenly, after such a short period, he settled in and became comfortable and happy. Thanks to the attention of the excellent staff, especially the activities director, he started taking part in group activities and socializing. He enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles again for the first time in many years, and he walks around much more than he ever did at home. They took him on a bus trip around the island, and he was so excited; he told us that he saw places he never knew existed on the island. Despite not being able to visit in person during the pandemic, we have been kept very well informed of his progress, and in speaking with him, it is clear that his quality of life has improved dramatically. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Barton Court.
My father has been a resident of Barton Court Care Home for nearly three years now. He suffered a stroke ten years ago, which resulted in a permanent brain injury, and this led to a number of ongoing medical issues, meaning that he is unable to care for himself and requires permanent care. The staff at Barton Court took time to understand my father's needs and have tailored his care to his personal needs. Aside from the care he receives, the activities (pre-Covid) are second to none, and it gives us much joy to look at the photos of what he has been up to on the Facebook page. When we visit him, he is always happy to go back to the home, and the staff are always friendly to both me and his grandkids. We would highly recommend the home to any family who is looking for somewhere for a loved one to stay.
We reluctantly had to put my father-in-law into care. All the staff at Barton Court were very reassuring and helped to make that hard decision, which we now realise was the right decision as he has Alzheimer’s and needs a lot of specialist care which we, unfortunately, could no longer support him with. It’s nice to know and reassuring that he is well looked after particularly so in this pandemic. We have no worries or concerns about his welfare and his care. All the staff are very professional and caring we are pleased that we made the right decision by putting him into Barton Court, we would highly recommend them.
Barton Court has been exceptional in the provision of care and treatment towards my grandad, where his life has significantly improved since he has lived there. My grandad partakes in various activities and social interactions which before was very limited when out in the community. Wishes and preferences are always met with the family kept up to date and fully informed of events. The staff go above and beyond in their roles and it is very heartwarming to see my grandad enjoying the later years of his life. I would highly recommend Barton Court.
Staff were helpful, caring, supportive and kind to residents. Nothing was too much trouble. They were all patient and dedicated to their jobs. They interacted well with the residents and were loving and caring to my mother at all times, providing a safe and secure environment, helping her with all her needs. Their care was particularly supportive in the last few weeks of my Mother's life, when they all really helped us as a family deal with a very difficult and upsetting time. Staff and management are to be commended for the quality of their care.
My decision to put Mum in a Care Home was enormous but on my initial visit I was put at ease and felt reassured I was doing the right thing. The home is clean, warm, safe, with a friendly atmosphere. All my questions were answered and left me feeling this is the home for Mum. The service is very professionally organised; medical issues dealt with promptly and I am notified when GP visits are arranged or if Mum develops anything causing concern; the staff work hard to bring care and comfort in so many ways - recording digitally their daily tasks for each resident throughout their shift. The food and hygiene are also very good and Mum has regained her appetite, put on weight, which has levelled out in the months she has been in Barton Court Care Home. There are regular entertainment/activity arrangements which are extremely well organised, safety being of paramount importance. I have enjoyed joining in especially the cruise from Wateringbury, on river Medway and a visit to Wingate zoo.
An affordable family run home providing just about everything you could wish for. It is bright, clean, welcoming, friendly, extremely well led by manager and assistant manager and boasts an excellent activities programme led by one of the best Activity Coordinators in town! The food is excellent and independence is promoted whenever possible. The care is exceptional and, in my view, the staff go the extra mile at every given opportunity. This care home comes highly recommended by me.
Barton Court provides a safe and happy experience for my husband - a day client. All of the staff members are caring, friendly and supportive. They encourage him to interact with both themselves and the clients. He greatly benefits from participating in the diverse activities which are regular features at the residence. Furthermore, I have absorbed small but positive changes in my husband's behaviour since his attendance at Barton Court. He is now more interested in food and shows an interest in what is happening around him.
My Dad has severe Dementia and all the staff understand and know how to deal with his needs. As I walk into the Home, everyone is very welcoming and tell me how Dad has been. The staff phone regularly to keep me up to date with any issues including GP visits and hospital appointments, and they arrange for transport and a carer to go with Dad which helps so much when dealing with stressful consultations. They ensure that Dad gets all his special dietary requirements and arrange for dietitians to come and see him at the Home. Dad is very happy at the Home, he loves music and singing and the staff often sing with him. They have activities for the residents to join in and encourage Dad when he is able. Everyone at Barton Court is very caring and If I have any concerns, they will deal with them. Dementia is such a terrible illness but Barton Court goes a long way to helping us all cope and knowing that Dad is in safe hands. I would definitely recommend this Care Home.
Since my father became a resident at Barton Court the care he has received has been excellent, which gives me peace of mind that he is always in good hands. The home is always clean and well maintained and the staff are always friendly, we are always offered refreshments when we visit. Very glad we found Barton Court
