View Full Details of HevercourtGreat friendly place, they couldn't do anymore for mum, the staff are always friendly and have time to talk when you see them. Everything they do for mum is with dignity and care. The events that are run within the home are always really fun for everyone involved
Hevercourt is a lovely, caring, safe place for its residents. My mother is looked after extremely well and is happy there. The staff are so kind and thoughtful. Well done Hevercourt and thank you.
Good activities, friendly staff. Variety of day rooms. Corridor to walk along. Rooms upstairs - safety for residents.
I am very happy here, I have been in this care home almost 3 years, plenty of biscuits tea/coffee, or soft drinks, plenty of choices at meal times. When I was poorly, staff were very attentive getting me medical help, staff go out of their way to make sure I am happy. Since new management took over in January things have improved massively. Very clean and tidy, with all my need being met.
The care home staff are always very supportive to us and my mother. I feel that the cleanliness could be of a better standard. The room does not seem to be cleaned much, there is always dust on shelves, bits on the floor and when I wipe the floor myself it is dirty. The communal bathrooms can be very untidy and messy - Mum is happy and content. My mothers toiletries frequently go missing.
My friend has been a resident for three years and has obviously deteriorated a lot in that time but from what I can see from my family short visits a couple of times a week she is well looked after and seems most of the time to be content. The home and it's residents always seem well cared for and clean which must be hard at times. I am not family but do see her as much as I do.
As a regular volunteer I find the home to be excellent. I help provide church services fortnightly as well as help with activities and help run the residents choir. I see the residents as friends and I am on first name terms with many of them. It is a job and privilege to serve and help in such a well run facility.
Hevercourt has done really well with my Aunt. She was in a previous care home, they couldn't cope with her as they had her on incorrect medication. Also like the fact that the residents are not automatically put in a wheelchair. Always ring me if she has had a fall or if any problems with her.
My long time friend is a resident here since September 2024. I try to visit her each week, the staff are welcoming and chatty, there are several lounge areas for residents to relax plus a dining room where activities are often arranged to entertain. My friend has a nice room with ensuite and the home overall is kept clean and tidy. From what i have seen the place is well run and safe environment for the elderly.
Staff have always kept me informed if dad has fallen or if he is unwell. Dads room is clean and bedding good. My dad is really happy and all the staff know him by name. They do lots of activities to keep dad happy, and involve the familys in them.
The staff are very helpful and caring, in fact are excellent. I feel I am not kept up to speed with my mothers health plan. I feel the room could do with updating, painting, over sink light has never worked. Radiator cover is continually falling off, items of toiletries go missing and not returned, everything is labeled, named special hangers went missing, never returned. Mum is very happy. Since the new Manager things are noticeable improvements plus more staff.
I am very happy with the care that my mum receives at Hevercourt Care Home. I feel that she is very well looked after by extremely caring staff. The home is very clean, and the food is good. Every day, the menu is displayed on the board in the dining room. Relatives are always made to feel welcome. The management are always available to speak to, and there are activities every day. The activities coordinator, is excellent. At the relatives' meetings I feel that suggestions are considered and, if appropriate, taken on board by the management. I would recommend Hevercourt to anyone I know who is looking for an excellent home for their loved one.
My mum has blossomed since she came to Hevercourt approx 7 months ago. She is so much happier being in a safe and comfortable environment. She feels totally at home there and we as a family are more than happy for her to be there, safe in the knowledge she is being well cared for and looked after. My mum is truly happy as we pop in every week, there are never any complaints or moaning just positive vibes about all the staff. I do mean all the staff, always happy to talk and oblige in any queries. Always attentive and caring in such a challenging job. How they do it I truly don't know special people. I know I wouldn't be able to do it. To me that is the special thing about the place, all of the staff being so kind. My mum has been to church, the shops, above and beyond. Truly thank you for making our life so much easier. God bless.
Staff are very caring and look after residents but sometimes there isn't always a lot of staff around. They are very welcoming and accommodating to family members and happy to facilitate occasions where possible.
