My Mother moved into The Lodge in December 2023 after a stay in hospital as her care needs had changed. I can thoroughly recommend the care home as the staff are very attentive and take care of every need. The building itself is well maintained and very clean; the residents have lots of activities to do and there are enough staff to provide care on a more personal level with in-house hair salon, nail bar and chiropody. My Mother is very happy at The Lodge and I know she is being well cared for and in good hands.
Excellent care. Staff very helpful, friendly and caring. We drop in on a regular basis unannounced and the quality of care is always consistent.
My mother has frontotemporal dementia and has lived at The Lodge for the past four years since my father died. After an initial settling in period, she now feels and says that the Lodge is her home. She seems relaxed and contented. We take her out a couple of times a week and, although always keen to go out, she has never been unhappy to return. She says that the staff are kind and helpful and, despite the conversational limitations due to her lack of short term memory, she feels she has friends at the Care Home.
