View Full Details of The Gardens Care HomeMy mum-in-law has had a recent hosputal admission which was traumatic for all concerned. On return to the home the welcome we received was fantastic, she was quickly settled in and her needs dealt with. Her room was warm, clean and ready for her return and we were able to leave her knowing she was 'home', safe and loved. Hats off to your excellent staff.
Mother could not cope alone when my father died. She lost confidence socially, domestically and financially. Her will to live disappeared. I could not deliver the support she needed so we agreed to try The Gardens Care Home. She has been there for two years. They literally saved her life. She is treated as a valued member of the community, respected and independent. The team are her friends, they motivate her, keep her mind active and restored her dignity. She would not be here without them.
Mum has been at The Gardens for 2 years and she has settled well, her health has improved and she seems happy. The staff have always been open, helpful, and supportive. Most importantly to us, Mum is always clean, dressed and well-presented whatever day or time we turn up - a sure sign she is always well cared for.
The management and staff are fantastic. I am so confident in all they do for my wife and I can relax knowing all her needs are dealt with in a professional way. Very lucky to find a care home that meets all my requirements for my wife.
The Gardens have been exemplary this month. Always a good and caring home but have gone the extra mile and far beyond in helping celebrate my mum's 101st birthday! Staff took Mum to Skegness for a day out, along the seafront, round the shops and for a fish'n'chips lunch - even buying Mum a 'kiss me quick' hat! She had a really brilliant birthday - something she has relieved time and time again with her visitors and these staff. Top marks all round!
The Gardens Care Home have been very attentive and caring towards my mum. Always friendly when we visit, and mum always comments on how great the food is.
Very kind staff - cleanliness excellent, mum always comments on how good the food is.
I came to stay here at The Gardens Care Home after spending many weeks in hospital. I really wanted to live at The Gardens permanently as I felt so looked after and cared for, I feel that I'm no longer lonely. I feel that all the staff here at The Gardens have become my friends, not just here to care for me, we talk and have a laugh. I'm so happy here at The Gardens, I like most of the food served and there is plenty of choice to choose from.
Mother arrived at the home in November, very apprehensive. She believed she would not be stopping but as soon as she settled in, everybody made her very welcome, all staff and management are excellent, the care of my mother is excellent, cannot do enough to help her. I feel very lucky my mother is getting the care she deserves. A very big thank you to all staff at The Gardens Care Home, Mother is now a permanent resident. Thank you.
I cannot fault anything. Very happy, comfortable surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble for any care person.
The overall service I am receiving from The Gardens for my mum is extremely good. All her personal needs, dignity etc for her elderly age are well cared for. She has settled in and is very happy. All the staff I have dealt with and still dealing with are very caring understanding and extremely helpful with any needs my mum or I should want. Thank you The Gardens.
My sister moved here in June 2023 as she was unable to live on her own with dementia and anorexia. She is starting to put on weight as being encouraged to eat regular meals. All the staff have been very kind to her making sure she always looks clean and tidy and encouraging her to join all the activities. We have noticed a big difference in her. This is the best place for her to live.
I now feel she is in the best place for her. The staff are all very good to her and make us all feel very welcome. We take her to the gardens and feed the fish every Monday with my grandson. I always feel she is happy to see us and I am at ease when we leave. So happy she is in here.
Dad moved into The Gardens in April 2023 and has settled in well. He has a lovely room and the staff have been great, very friendly, and always on hand to answer any questions. Dad has put on weight, enjoys the food, and jokes with the staff. Dad's quality of life has improved.
The Gardens Care Home is simply the best care home. The facilities are excellent, always clean, the food is excellent and the management and staff are friendly and professional, treating residents like people - with dignity and empathy. The Gardens Care Home set the standards of care so high, other care homes should copy them. Well done, a credit to the care industry.
Dad has been a resident in The Gardens Care Home since the Autumn of 2022. He is very settled and gets on well with the staff and residents. The food is cooked from scratch in their kitchens, and there is a good choice. The staff are very kind and have shown Dad a great deal of patience and care. I know Dad is in the best place for his condition. The other week, a talented singer came to the home, and Dad enjoyed his jiving with the staff. They are organising a trip to his local golf club soon, where Dad is a lifetime member. I am very grateful to the staff at The Gardens.
Compared to previous establishments, the care being received here has, without a doubt, been exceptional and above standard. All members of staff have been very professional and above all, treated my nan with care and dignity. The food is very nutritious and varied and cooked to a high standard. Lastly, the entertainment for my nan has been stimulating and leaves no room for boredom. The establishment comes highly recommended; you can be sure that any person who is left in care here will have their needs met.
I feel my mum is safe, well cared for and kept warm and clean. The staff are very caring and kind towards my mum and supportive to the family. The staff are always very responsive to attend to my mum if we ring with an issue when Mum becomes distressed. Medical concerns are dealt with and communication with family is good, on occasions we have to request results. Overall, happy.
Mum came here for respite care, but the care received was so good that Mum now lives here permanently. She is content and very well looked after.
The Gardens Care Home has become our saviour in the search for a safe and caring home for our dad. All of the staff from the maintenance to kitchen workers, cleaning and laundry ladies, along with the nursing staff are, in our opinion, first-class, they look after Dad like one of their own. He is very happy with the large comfortable room that has views over the gardens and we have all noticed a change in his, now, cheerful demeanour since he moved in at The Garden. We cannot recommend the home highly enough, the manager and all other staff are always there for your every need and information so you have no reasons to worry.
