View Full Details of Tregolls ManorWe will be forever grateful for the most wonderful care offered to my dad during his respite stay in October. Having the choice of about ten options, we opted for Tregolls because we liked the idea of such a family home feel. My dad went to Tregolls to rest following a month in the hospital; he was medically fit but not quite his usual self enough to come home. His stay was wonderful! The chef showed his kindness and talent in creating high-quality meals, and the manager and her team provided a warm welcome and professional backup of care. The home is gorgeous, and residents seemed happy and described themselves as lucky to be there. The lounges are lovely and relaxing, and the morning coffee and papers went down a treat. My dad left feeling well nourished, and like the rest, backup care if he needed it provided a real boost to his confidence and recovery.
Excellent manageress, very caring and helpful. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are of the highest standard, every need cared for. My Aunt has been very happy here for her respite care. She has been encouraged in every way and has made excellent progress here. I would highly recommend anyone to come to this home.
From the first moment we entered Tregolls we were greeted with kindness and were happily shown round even though we called unannounced. The management and staff are caring and my mother is treated with respect. The food and drink are excellent and served in lovely surroundings, clean table linen etc. The activities offered are varied and interesting. After visiting other homes we feel that Tregolls offers value for money and so pleased they were able to accommodate my mother.
My mother has lived at Tregolls Manor for over two and a half years. I would not hesitate in recommending the home and have done so on many occasions. The management and staff treat residents with courtesy, dignity, patience and loving care. Home cooked food ensures residents receive wholesome and nutritious meals. A full calendar of events provides residents with plenty to do, from regular outings to visiting entertainment of the human and animal kind. The team at Tregolls provide a clean, warm and friendly environment. Visitors are made to feel welcome usually with tea and cake and an update on their loved ones. The team at Tregolls are a credit to the caring profession. I am grateful to them all.
Tregolls Manor Care Home has a welcoming and elegant appearance. The private rooms have pleasant decor and good facilities, as well as the en suite. The personal television and phone are most welcome. In particular, the staff are unfailingly patient, competent and kind.
From the moment my mother arrived at Tregolls Manor, we knew she would be comfortable and well looked after. The whole building is clean and fresh, confidently maintaining the atmosphere of a smartly decorated and comfortable hotel. The staff are all well informed and considerate and it is obvious that specific needs are fully understood and catered for. Nothing is too much for them and they are very friendly and supportive. The food is varied and when our visits coincide with the arrival of the evening meal we have been impressed by the quality (mother is invited to choose from the menu). There is a remarkably full programme of optional excursions and treats. The lounges are luxurious- it's all immensely civilised.
My aunt was so happy at Tregolls that she hardly wanted to come home. The activities were various, the food 'excellent' and she felt warmly welcomed and cared for. The staff are helpful and courteous and the whole place has the atmosphere of a pleasant 'hotel' rather than a 'home' for the elderly. I cannot speak too highly of it , or of the care they offer. I have just booked my aunt for another short stay.
I stayed for 10 days after a replacement bone operation and found all the staff very caring and helpful. They collected me from the hospital and came with me for a physio appt, which i very much appreciated. Our carers had had the same operation and was very encouraging and could answer some of my minor questions, very useful. The activities on offer were varied, fun with trips round the countryside, to music to lunch on Sunday, all appreciated but fairly silent affair. I am very impressed to see how the staff dealt with clients from dementia to permanent residents all treated with love and ready to help at all times.
My mother was a resident at Tregolls Manor from 1998 until her death last week at the age of 103 years. The service provided during this long period was uniformly excellent in all aspects, with activities suitable for her physical disability which gradually increased as she aged being offered throughout. The staff were always approachable and friendly, and the ambiance was that of a true home rather than a residence. I was ultimately surprised and grateful for the degree of flexibility shown by the staff at all levels as my mother progressed recently through her final illness. This allowed her to receive the very best palliative care, in close conjunction with GP and community nursing services, in physical surroundings and circumstances that were familiar to her. This eased her last days enormously.
Arrived feeling very weak and tired after bad UTI. had excellent care, kindness, flod and rest. Left feeling much better and myself again.
Tregolls Manor is comfortable and welcoming. The staff are friendly and caring. I am very happy to leave my mother there.
If it was not for the prompt, professional action of night staff I would not be here now. I was staying post facial surgery and 1 week after surgery my temporary artery ruptured. The A&E accredited my life to that prompt action. This was exceptional, all the care had been 100% and staff dedicated and genuinely concerned for each individual. I am so pleased to be able to do this review.
My mother was admitted to Tregolls last month for respite care following a stressful period caring for her at home. She has settled in very well and is very happy in her new home, has already made new friends and she particularly enjoys the meals and the various activities and outings. The staff are friendly, helpful and thoughtful and the standard of care is excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tregolls to anyone in a similar position.
