View Full Details of Shoreline Nursing HomeMy father was only in Shorelines for a short length of time, waiting until his illness was too severe to manage at home any longer. The staff were very quick to assess him and his needs. They showed such compassion, patience, and understanding while trying to help him adjust to a change in his routine and way of doing things. I will be forever grateful for helping and caring in his final weeks.
I am quite happy and content here.
A light and airy atmosphere with caring, friendly staff. Have managed to do wonders with our relative. Getting her to engage more with general things like getting her hair cut and getting out of her bed, which she wouldn't do previously. Thank you so much. Onwards and upwards.
My dad moved into Shoreline in January 2023. He has been comfortable and well cared for all the time. The staff are friendly and genuinely show fondness and respect towards the residents. I can see that for my dad, this is now ‘home’, and he is happy there. He has a great view of the sea, joins in the activities and enjoys his meals. We could not wish for a better level of care. Thanks to all the staff.
A very pleasant atmosphere with very helpful staff. Good entertainment and excellent care for the residents.
Mum moved into this home from hospital in September 2022, suffering from frequent falls/dementia, so although my dad and I did not actively choose this home, I could not have chosen better. The staff made every effort to care for Mum, putting lots of measures in place to keep her safe. She was treated with great respect, and by the time she passed away this September, I felt like she was actually loved by the staff. I was always welcomed when visiting, and in the last few weeks of Mum's life, when I was there almost constantly, nothing was too much trouble for the staff to support me. I really cannot fault the staff and the care they gave to me as well as Mum. Dad now lives in the home due to his frailty and mobility issues, and the staff have made sure he feels at home. He was very well supported by them when Mum passed away and treated with respect and consideration. I can honestly recommend this home as a safe and caring place.
Pleased husband got a permanent place in Shoreline. Staff excellent - very committed and caring. Excellent cleanliness/hygiene. Food very good and get choice from menu. Cheerful, happy atmosphere in home. Very welcoming and supportive to relatives. Well run home, excellent management and staff, friendly, homely atmosphere - have nothing negative about care home at all.
My father was cared for in Shoreline from March to July 2023. Prior to him moving in I looked at most other care homes in the local area. I am satisfied that the staff did everything in their power to keep my dad comfortable in the latter stages of his life. Lots of the staff went out of their way to befriend him and, if I'm honest, he was often more pleased to see them than he was me! The view from his window was poor and so staff helped develop a little garden for him to look out onto. At the time activities were limited, but I am aware that they now have a new activities coordinator. I often felt that Dad was in safe hands and, although no one wants to go into care, I will always be grateful to the knowledgeable and dedicated staff who took Dad under their wing.
Shoreline has looked after my uncle since August 2020. He left the hospital very, very unwell and on end of life care - he has improved greatly, although still poorly. He has a far better quality of life, and his care needs to be attended to; more than he would have at home. I would not hesitate to recommend Shoreline for its professionalism and care.
My dad went into Shoreline Nursing Home in February 2020; he had great care by all the staff. His laundry was washed promptly, and the food was good. He was encouraged to drink and eat. He had Alzheimer's disease but felt safe in the environment that was clean and tidy. He sadly passed away in April; his end of life care was excellent.
My mother-in-law recently passed away at Shoreline Nursing Home, Redcar, and has been in their palliative care for several months. Myself and family cannot express enough the kindness, professionalism and respect they showed her, and the fantastic way everyone cared for her. Often we would arrive unexpected and behind closed doors you could hear how genuinely kind they treated her without realising anyone was there. The accommodation was very clean and everyone had a huge amount of knowledge to guide us through her difficult last months.
My mum aged 67, got diagnosed 2 years ago with Motor Neurone Disease and Front Temple Dementia. When she was discharged from hospital in October 2018 after a week because she deteriorated so much that she needed 24hr care we looked at about 4 care homes but none of them were not very nice and we did not feel very comfortable viewing them. We walked in to Shoreline Nursing Home in Redcar unannounced and we were blown away, the feeling you get when you walk into it was amazing. You immediately want to see more. It's very clean, spotless in fact, that's how good it felt. My mum has settled in really well, she always says how wonderful it is all the staff are amazing I cannot put into words how fantastic they are, outstanding, I mean they deserve gold medals and much more for what they do. They always put the patients first I can't thank them enough for what they do, they make my mum's end of life very comfortable. I'm extremely grateful for all your hard work and I would recommend Shoreline to everyone, thank you.
Shoreline is a lovely place, my mother has settled really well and she is really looked after. The entertainment provided for all the residents and families over Christmas 2018 was exceptional and involved everyone making Christmas very special. My mother has only been in Shoreline 2 1/2 months and she receives good care, especially with her condition that is incurable and prevents her doing things.
My beautiful grandmother lived in Shoreline for a year before she peacefully passed away. The management and staff became such an integral part of our life, supporting us along the way. My Grandmother enjoyed the last year of her life and lived it to the full. The activities that were on offer, she would always participate in and she especially loved the entertainment and live singers. During her last days, the management took time out of their day and ensured my grandmother was comfortable and well looked after as did all the care staff. We as a family were also cared for and this truly did make a difference. We were always welcome no matter the day or time of night. nothing was ever too much bother. Thanks for looking after us all I will be eternally grateful.
I have to say that the staff at the care home made my Mother's final weeks comfortable and happy. She was extremely well cared for here and made some really good friends. Nothing was ever too much bother for anyone and the activities lady was a massive support for my Aunty coming to terms with the illness of my mum. I would recommend the home to anyone and will always be grateful for the friendships made.
Father's care is exceptional to say the least. Excellent care given to our father. Very clean place, nursing care is outstanding. All of Dad's needs are promptly taken care of. Dining area and sitting room area, clean and spacious. All the care staff go beyond the care and attention required for our father's needs. Daily/weekly menu's always a good choice and very appetising. Certainly meets the care needs of our father.
Lovely care home with brilliant staff. My mother is very happy here and well cared for. She was admitted last year after a spell in hospital and two years in another care home as she required nursing care. Although she didn’t like the upheaval of moving to another home, it was a testament to the care home that she felt at ease.
Thank you - all the staff at Shoreline for taking care of my nana so well. My family will be forever grateful. You are all so kind and not only looked after nana but all of us as well. We will miss you all.
Mum spent her last 6 months in Shoreline and was as happy as she could have been in the circumstances. She was exceptionally well looked after by both staff and management for her stay. I can't thank them enough for caring for my lovely mum.
Living a distance from my relative makes it hard for me to keep up with his ongoing health and welfare. Every time I call, staff are on hand and happy to share relevant information with me. I called today and spoke to the new manager who was already well aware of him and his needs and more importantly how is he doing. As a family, it is very reassuring to know that he is being looked after by a staff team who believe in what they are doing and that my uncle's care is important to us as a family. They come up with solutions to any issues and we as a family think we all work well as part of a team to ensure his quality of life is paramount.
