View Full Details of Willow Brook Care HomeI would like to compliment all of the staff involved at Willow Brook. Over the last 8 months I have always been made to feel welcome when I have visited. The activities and entertainment shows are exemplary and the chance to visit other care homes for competitions is also very good. I would like to nominate one person at the home, she very often operates the tea trolley, she is of Turkish origin. She very often goes out of her way to make sure refreshments are good.
The carers and staff were very friendly and made me feel at home - we had very good banter. They all looked after me very well - I would certainly recommend staying here and am looking forward to going again for a break in the near future.
My husband went for respite care on Friday the 12th of July and left on the 26th of July, the accounts on his stay did not match with his account of events. When he entered your home his mobility was poor but he could walk a few steps, on leaving he could not walk at all and I was not told about this. He spent apart from some meal times in his room sitting in a chair. I feel very cross at his stay with you and do not think your value for money.
My 92-year-old mother-in-law moved to Willow Brook in June 2023 and remained until her death in Feb 2024. Her care was exceptionally good. Within a short time of arriving her pressure sore was healed and she was walking with assistance and had gained some much-needed weight. She was always immaculately dressed and her room was always clean and never smelt of urine despite her double incontinence. The staff were very kind and remembered the names of family members and pets making us feel cared for too. The home was clean and homely with bowls of snacks and lots of activities to suit all tastes. Much effort was put into themed periods such as remembrance month and Christmas with activities, decor, food and activities all aligned to the theme. She remained at the home at the end of life and the care she received was exceptional. We were included in all major decisions and kept informed throughout. I cannot fault the care she received. The staff are respectful, kind and caring.
Willow Brook Care Home is a loving and caring place with a team of staff dedicated to supporting and looking after their residents. Our mum was safe, secure and well cared for. During the last days of her life, she was made very comfortable. If we weren't sat with her we knew someone from the team would be. A peaceful and quiet atmosphere was created around Mum and we will forever be grateful to everyone at Willow Brook for their dedication.
My mother moved to Willow Brook in May 2023 as she was no longer able to live independently due to frailty and the mid-stages of dementia. Her last few months of life were happy and content with the care of the fantastic team at Willow Brook. They took time to get to know my dear mum and showed respect, love and understanding right up until the day she passed away. They also gave support and guidance to our family at the time we needed it most. We are so relieved that we found Willow Brook.
Our dad was a resident at Willow Brook for 5 months. On the initial visit, my sister and I knew this was the home we wanted him to move to. The staff are amazing! They have time for everyone and treat all with kindness and respect. The atmosphere is calming and relaxed, and a fun place to be with everyone sharing laughter. We cannot thank all the staff enough for the care and support they gave Dad and ourselves during his time with them.
My mum came to stay in Willowbrook in June 2023. Since being in Willowbrook she has truly thrived and is very happy there. The staff are all very helpful, kind and caring and my mum's room is clean and lovely. The meals are always tasty with plenty of choice. It is reassuring to know that my mum is being taken care of so well.
My Dad had two weeks respite care at Willow Brook Care Home. All the staff are very caring and committed and work well as a team and clearly know how to look after and care for their residents. My Dad was made to feel very welcome. He loved the staff and said they were very kind, patient and caring. The meals were varied and absolutely delicious. With such a positive experience Dad is happy to return. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff.
On every visit, the staff have been lovely. They have been very helpful and accommodating. My aunties room is lovely.
Wonderful care and food! Delightful staff.
Mum is very happy here, the staff are lovely and very kind.
The staff are always courteous and show they care and are helpful. Rooms are clean and well kept.
At Willow Brook for a 90th birthday and the staff have been fantastic. They provided the food and decorated the room beautifully. Thank you all for making us so welcome.
Really lovely and friendly, really recommend.
The alert, happy, smiling nonagenarian who greets us when we visit her, bears no resemblance to the frail, confused, dehydrated old lady who moved into Willow Brook Care Home about eight weeks ago after a long stay in hospital. We were concerned that she wouldn't settle but she receives 24-hour care, loves the fact that she can have her hair and nails done, enjoys the varied programme of activities provided, likes the food and is pleased that her personal and medical needs are attended to. Thank you Willow Brook.
Mum was submitted as an emergency and appears to have settled well in the home. I’m sure she is quite difficult as she hates being washed or dressed and has a fear of leaving the home. Despite all of this she always appears happy when I see her and also relaxed. The care and kindness of the staff is evident. We are really very happy with the level of care Mum is getting. Congratulations and thank you for all your help and kindness.
Highly delighted with the care and to see a slight improvement in her speech and overall demeanour. It's a pleasure to visit.
I am settled and happy in Willow Brook Care Home. I get on well with the residents and care staff. I am very well looked after and nothing is too much trouble. The meals are excellent and the kitchen staff are friendly. I enjoy taking part in the activities. There is a very homely feel here.
We selected Willow Brook when my wife was discharged from hospital in June 2021. Since June 2022, the management was replaced by senior staff and conditions have vastly improved in all aspects and my wife is happy despite her health deteriorating.
