View Full Details of Belford HouseAlways caring, always diligently managed. A care home that treats people as individuals and knows the residents as individuals. Mother, sadly, became unwell and the care manager was immediately on to the doctor getting a visit arranged. Such quick help is brilliant.
It was a really difficult decision to move my mother into a residential care home. She has had dementia for a number of years now but I am very pleased to say that it has been an excellent move to Belford House. The staff are extremely kind and caring, the home is bright and airy and there are so many activities for the residents to take part in. My mother seems very settled and happy there and I'd like to thank the management and staff for doing such a great job, long may it continue.
Fabulous facility, with the most amazing and friendly staff. Great care and great food. Mum has recently moved in and the staff could not have made her more welcome. The daily activities are well thought out and enjoyed by the residents.
The staff were helpful, cheerful and available right from the start. Nothing was too much trouble and when my wife fell over, they were on the scene fast and worked with great professionalism to make her comfortable again.
We visit our elderly neighbour who lives there and hear nothing but good things from him about how friendly everyone is. He looks forward to all the great activities, something different each day - apparently it's like being on a cruise ship. We have been very impressed by how helpful the staff have been when we are visiting and everything seems so clean and looked after. We often bring our young child with us to visit and she absolutely loves it! She always gets really fussed over by the staff and the people who live there. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and it's so homely, certainly not like a stuffy clinical hospital ward which is such a relief. We look forward to our next visit!
We have made the right decision to move Mum to Belford House. The management and staff are lovely. The home has a wonderful atmosphere. Activities within the home are brilliant - so much work went into the recent fun day. There seems to be activities going on all the time.
I recently had to admit my father to a care home and I wanted to share how Belford House staff had made this such an easy process and made him feel so welcome and supported. The staff can't do enough for him and the facilities are absolutely amazing making him feel safe and secure. I didn't feel like I was abandoning him as it felt like I was extending his family with how welcoming the staff were.
The Velford House care team work very hard to support my grandad. Recently, they have had building work done, and nothing was too much trouble despite having to work differently. It's the little touches they do to help. Recently, they had a relaunch party to celebrate the end of the extension. Everyone was invited and there was a singer and a magician. It was a great day and all residents were supported. The team are amazing, and my grandad loves it there.
Walking into Belford House, I was greeted by some wonderful staff that work there. They were happy to help with any questions I had. The rooms were spacious and clean, with facilities in place to maintain residents' security and safety.
The staff at Belford House in Four Marks have demonstrated considerable genuine compassion for our mother over the past six years. However, in recent weeks the care has been profound. It has been difficult for us as we live in Australia and time and distance have been our enemy. Nevertheless, the care and support and friendship here have comforted us enormously, knowing that she is living with such loving carers.
Excellent, friendly service ensuring my mother is kept safe and secure, clean, well fed and generally, contented in what is a friendly, warm and comforting environment. Staff genuinely care and are always attentive to the residents’ needs. And always welcoming to visitors.
It became apparent that my mother could not continue to live at home, despite frequent home carer calls due to a number of fall episodes. Belford House was recommended to us and the recommendation has proved to be correct. On admission, the manager moved heaven and earth to secure a place overnight. The home has had some challenges due to the extension building but this has not detracted from the standard of care given. Staff are warm, friendly and approachable and it is well led. The food especially is to be commended with a flexible approach to what the client wants to eat. Would heartily recommend Belford, the manager and her team - it fully deserves a five-star review.
My mother moved into Belford House after being in hospital. She was only there a short while before she sadly passed away. However, from day 1 the standard of care given and the compassion shown by the staff was excellent. My mum was happy there. The staff are so friendly, welcoming, and caring. The home itself is clean, bright, and well-run. And it has such a lovely friendly feel to it. It was like visiting my mum at home. My mum was well looked after and cared for. Thank you.
My elderly grandmother has recently moved into Belford House. From initial enquiry we, as family members, have been made to feel supported, always welcome and nothing has been or is too much trouble. My grandmother: 'I like it here, everyone is so friendly, they all work so hard and everyone always has a smile. The food is lovely, I can't always remember what I have eaten, but I know it was tasty! I like having company, I sleep so much better at night, someone checks on me. I have a beautiful room.' The difference within my grandmother is just wonderful to see, she is so much more animated, has more conversation and is actively choosing to spend time with her friends in the lovely big lounge area. It is clear to see that every staff member of Belford House share the same values of treating the residents with the highest level of respect whilst delivering excellent care in a lovely, homely and comfortable environment. Thank you to everyone at Belford House.
Thank you to all the staff at Belford House who cared so well for my relative. What a fantastic place to stay and enjoy those later years. Staff are kind and show compassion. So much thought and love is shown to the residents. The home is well run, excellent management. Staff are well trained, caring and professional. The home is always lovely and clean. On arrival, one is greeted by a member of the team. Signing in at reception is all automated and very straightforward. On numerous occasions after visiting my relative, I have been offered a drink or meal too. Birthdays have been made very special with the chef providing a cake for all to enjoy. My relative has been extremely happy staying there. Very happy to join in activities, especially the singing and dancing when the opportunity arises.
I have been very impressed with the care that my mother receives at Belford House. The staff really care and the home feels homely, welcoming and well run. The rooms can be personalised to the resident and are kept clean. It’s really hard making the decision to put a loved one in a home, but when caring at home becomes too hard, I can’t recommend this place enough. It has and is the right place for my mother. Thank you all.
After viewing many care homes in the area, we decided on Belford House because of their willingness to take Dad out for a short walk each day. Which was one of the few remaining activities he took any enjoyment in. I feel the whole team went above and beyond to engage the residents in familiar activities, even though Dad could be tricky at times they dealt with the issues as they arose in a professional manner. We visited Dad several times a week and mostly saw him in the small lounge, which is a bright and comfortable room, including the provision of self serve coffee. We were made to feel welcome and staff were always willing to give a catch up on Dad's situation. What we didn't fully appreciate at the start, is how caring the whole team are, even the cleaners and catering staff. Our email queries were dealt with immediately and Dad's health was monitored and his care adjusted accordingly right up to and particularly in his last days.
My husband has been a resident at Belford House Care Home for ten months and during this time he has been treated with much care and compassion by all the staff. This was highlighted when he broke his femur and required extra care and attention. Liaison with relatives is excellent.
My mum has been in Belford House Care Home for over five years and is now at the end of her life. It is hard to put into words how deeply grateful we are, as a family, for the kind and sensitive care they have given her during these last difficult months. She arrived in July 2018 with Parkinson’s disease and has slowly gone downhill ever since. The staff have been tirelessly supportive and kind to her (and to her family and friends) throughout the five years that she has counted Belford House as her home. It is a spotlessly clean, homely, caring environment and we could not wish for more care for our mum in the twilight of her life.
Mum moved to Belford House from another care home many miles away. She has settled really well, as a result of the friendly, caring and supportive staff. There is always a smile, and staff have quickly learned Mum's foibles persuading her to get involved in activities. She loves her food, and the chef provides some great meals and is always mindful of Mum's dietary needs. Belford House has a family feel, visitors are welcomed, and staff are always available to talk to. Any medical needs have been swiftly addressed, and one member of staff has a good understanding of residents' needs. We are really pleased that Mum has come to live at Belford House and would recommend it to others.
