View Full Details of Dale MountDuring my recent visit to Dale Mount my mum had a fall in her room. I was impressed by the efficiency the staff demonstrated in dealing with the situation and the compassion they showed towards my mum.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. I feel like the residents could be entertained a little more as they are all sleeping all the time and look bored.
My Mum has been with Dale Mount three years in May 2025. Our family have seen mum be the most happy and confident she has been in years, being at the front of keep fit class singing and dancing at discos, Halloween and Christmas celebrations. She has also made new friends who all look out for each other, the staff also keep me updated with any concerns that they have with her health. Mum was always a very private person and kept herself to herself, not trusting of friends and under confident. She is now never wants to be in her lovely room but go downstairs as does not want to miss anything. When your loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia you always question if you made the right decision for a care home, but when we took mum she was waving out the window with staff. We could not have wished for better.
Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and a happy place to be.
Very happy with my mum's care. All staff are supportive and caring. Management are easy to contact and deal with queries quickly. My mum has settled in well. There are activities that take place every day and my mum especially enjoys bingo, singing/dancing and visits from the local nursery and therapy dogs!
My mother is in Dale Lodge Care Home and we have absolutely no complaints, the staff are very welcoming and accommodating providing all the facilities and care my mother needs. When looking for a care home this one definitely was the best overall. I highly recommend Dale Lodge to anyone looking for a care home. 10 stars
My grandmother is at this care home and it is the perfect place for her the staff are 10/10 and provide everything she needs I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a care home. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
My mum moved into Dale Mount in October 2024. As a family, we had looked at many homes, but as soon as we visited Dale Mount we knew this place would be the perfect for her, it has been the best decision we could have made for her overall health and wellbeing. The Manager and Deputy Manager have been so supportive, promptly answering any of our worries and concerns before and after the move. Dale Mount has a really welcoming, friendly feel, with caring and supportive staff. The food is varied and tasty and the fantastic cleaning staff keep everywhere spotlessly clean and smelling fresh. My mum settled in very quickly and has made friends with the other residents. She really enjoys the varied daily activities, especially the singing and dancing events and visits from the therapy dogs. Mum living at Dale Mount has took a huge pressure off us as a family knowing that she is now in a safe, secure, caring environment and will never be on her own again.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming. My relative's room is kept spotlessly clean as are the communal rooms and there are plenty of activities for the residents to take part in if they wish. I am notified of any concerns with my relative and feel that they genuinely care for residents which is really important to me. There is a hairdresser and chiropodist that visit regularly and residents can have their nails painted which is a nice touch. Dale Mount is a bright and comfortable home, in a lovely rural setting. It always feels warm when I visit, and residents do seem genuinely happy. I like that Dale Mount has a relatively small number of residents which makes it feel more homely and personal and staff get to know visitors. It's a difficult decision to choose care for someone but I am more than happy that I chose Dale Mount.
My mother was a resident at this care home for a couple of years. I had to, unfortunately, move her to this home right in the middle of ‘lockdown’. I had reason to involve the Council and the CQC during her time here as I felt there was a safeguarding issue. My mother was paying £1050 a week for her ‘care’. Shortly before Xmas 2023 she was admitted to hospital with sepsis and just over a week later was refused re-admission to the home because ‘there weren’t enough people on at lunch to help feed her’. So, five days before Xmas she was effectively evicted. Be warned.
My father has been in Dale Mount since June 2023. He took his time to settle, but now he is happy there. He takes part in the activities and the staff and residents all like him. The staff are all very helpful and kind.
My Mum has Alzheimer's and I was very anxious about leaving her in a care home. Mum has settled in very well and has responded to the staff who are friendly, helpful and sympathetic to her needs. The Manager and Deputy Manager have informed me of any medical staff visits that Mum has, or any other issues that have occurred. The carers are helpful, welcoming and accommodating to myself and the family when I visit Mum twice weekly. Mum has her hair washed and set on a weekly basis and cut as necessary. I am very pleased that Mum is happy at Dale Mount.
My father took a while to settle as he is very independent and was adamant he didn’t need any care or assistance. As the months went by it was lovely to see that my dad had put on a little weight and I was starting to see a glimpse of his sense of humour. Dad has regular health care, hair cuts etc. I asked him 'so what’s it been like here?' He said 'The carers are great they look after me very well. I can’t fault them. I can’t remember their names. The place is so clean. The food is lovely but I don’t eat much. I do like the pudding'. There has not been a problem getting in touch with staff if need be via phone or e-mail. All members of staff that I have been in contact with have gone above and beyond. So thank you.
My husband has advanced Alzheimer’s. He is looked after with care, consideration and sympathy. The staff are very friendly towards me when I visit and answer any questions I might have. I am always informed when a doctor is called to him and fully informed of any results. I am very happy with the care he receives and would recommend Dale Mount to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
My mum has been a resident in Dale Mount for just over one year. During this time, she has been in and out of hospital due to falls. The staff have always been quick to inform me of any situation regarding mum. They are very caring and mum seems happy, mostly despite her dementia. We all enjoyed a lovely Christmas party. The home holds many successful events throughout the year.
My mother in law has only been a resident since November 2017 and within that period has had to spend some time in hospital so no long-term experience, however quite pleased so far. The staff have been friendly and helpful although we had had some issues with missing clothes, medical visits and establishing mother in laws personal requirements such as hairdressing. However, I think these are now all resolved and perhaps we needed to be more patient and understand how the internal operations of the home were working. Sometimes things were reported but it appeared the response was slow.
My great aunt has settled in nicely and is happy and well looked after. The staff are all caring and cheerful, there is always a happy atmosphere and plenty of activities to keep the residents amused. They also have spa days, so the ladies always have lovely hair and nails.
Mum has been here for just over a year and she seems very happy and content. The staff are very cheerful and helpful and genuinely care for the residents. We're always kept informed of any concerns and any changes in medication. Lovely mother's day afternoon tea and summer bbq with a live band and a weekly activity programme. The location is rural but close to the A2. Mums room overlooks the garden which is always well kept and tidy. I would definitely recommend.
A welcoming home, pleasant staff. Staff are always willing to go the extra mile for the residents, families and friends.
My mother lived in this home for almost six years and passed away recently. I can't recommend the home highly enough, the care is second to none. Staff were always friendly, helpful and informative but most importantly the care given to the residents is superb. In her last days, she was treated with love, care and compassion and the efforts of the staff simply overwhelmed me. Thanks to them, my mother has a comfortable and peaceful passing which was a great comfort to us. Again, I can't recommend this home highly enough.
