View Full Details of Russell Churcher CourtOn Tuesday 11th February 2025 myself and my husband went to visit my friend and our eyes nearly popped out, what a beautiful fantastic place so very clean and all the staff were so welcoming and friendly nothing is too much trouble, my friend never wanted to leave her own home but she is so happy to be at Russell Churcher Court, as she has met so many new friends what with all the entertainment they have. Meals are out of this world, myself and my husband would like to say a very big thank you for everything you have done and continue to do. God bless you all.
Sadly we had to make the decision to our dad into a residential home due to no longer being able to look after him at home. After looking at Russell Churcher Court we know that this would be the right place. It's bright, clean and smells nice. All the staff stopped to say hello. Dad has been here for a few months now and has really settled into to his new surroundings and has a few favourites already.
My Mum has been at Russell Churcher Court for over a year and she is very happy there. The staff and carers are lovely, cheerful, and very welcoming. The level of care is above and beyond what our family was expecting. There are lots of activities to keep Mum occupied and she has been encouraged to make her room very homely and fill it with her beloved house plants. I can't recommend Russell Churcher Court highly enough!
I can't speak highly enough of Russell Churcher & the staff for the level of service my father receives. Today I received a call from a member of the staff, my father was worried about a communication he had received from the local council. She contacted me immediately & assisted my father as he explained things & calmed him down, my father's care home is in Gosport Hampshire & I live in Scotland. She helped my father with passing on the information & checked that all the details had verbally been passed, she then scanned the document & sent them to me & I managed to sort things out. Because of that particular staff member's immediate response to my father's slight distress, we were able to get things sorted quickly & I cannot thank her enough for her focus on my father's situation & the positive "can do" attitude she has toward the residents living in Russell Churcher Court. In fact, I cannot thank enough all the staff at Russell Churcher Court for their positive commitment to the residents.
The staff try their hardest to help and encourage residents to join in activities, sometimes it feels that those who stay in their rooms due to mental health issues are a bit forgotten.
I visited my friend, her room was clean and tidy. All the staff were very friendly and said hello to me and my friend. I went to see my friend about 11:00 am and stayed until lunchtime then walked her down to the dining room where everything was set up for lunch. It's always a pleasure to visit the home.
Such a bright, clean and welcoming place! Every member of staff is friendly, approachable and caring. My mother is blind and no effort has been spared to ease her transition into this, for her, new environment. As a family, we feel able to trust the home and its staff to care for Mum and encourage the best from her.
Staff are all pleasant and friendly. My father needs to be encouraged more proactively to leave his room and spend time with other residents. Need more attention to personal care: daily shave, face and hand wash after each meal. Do activities with him in his room if he doesn't want to engage outside of his room. Staff to ensure that they help with his meals, cutting food up and placing food within easy reach of him.
A very pleasant place to visit.
Everyone at Russell Churcher Court were open and welcoming from our initial view onwards. The whole home is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are bright and airy and can be personalised with your own furniture, pictures and ornaments. Staff are all very caring and listen to any concerns the residents may have. The food is very good for both choice and quality, and there are plenty of activities and entertainment available. Mum has been at Russell Churcher Court for 6 months now and is very happy and settled.
I was welcomed politely on my arrival. The carers were excellent with my mother, as she was a little under the weather. When I first saw her, there were three carers tending to her. They have a great rapport with Mum. Everywhere was clean. The team all seem invested in their work.
Best move we made putting Mum in Russell Churcher. She is so happy and the staff are lovely, my sisters and I can not worry now because she is safe and well cared for.
I find that the atmosphere in the home is very good. The staff are very cheerful and helpful and make me welcome to any activities that they organise.
My 83-year-old mother was receiving end-of-life care after returning from hospital with pneumonia. All of the staff were exceptional in their attitude and treatment of my mum and also my sister and me, who were constant visitors for the final 10 days of Mum's life. We were kept informed and looked after both physically and emotionally, receiving advice, care and understanding. Mum's room was peaceful and calm and the staff provided soft music, extra chairs, coffee and friendship at all hours of the day and night. Mum's physical needs were well met with 2 members of staff administering personal care every hour to keep Mum comfortable. No one hesitated to call the doctor or district nurse when necessary. All in all, we could not fault the care she received and know that her death affected everyone in the care home as they all felt personally connected to Mum. Even since her death, they have shown me and my family care and compassion.
The staff at Russell Churcher have helped me to get my mum settled into her new home. They are awesome people who do a very difficult and very important job and I am so grateful for their kindness, humour, patience and professionalism. They are wonderful people and the facility is top-notch! I would not hesitate in recommending Russel Churcher Court.
My mum has been in Russell Churcher for almost a year, and the improvement in her general well being and mobility is wonderful. Although she would have preferred to stay in her own home she realised that she needed to move into a care home and what a stroke of luck that Russell Churcher was recommended to us! The staff are so friendly and caring - she was apprehensive about needing help with personal care, but they have approached it with a caring manner and helped her maintain her dignity. Humour is important to Mum - and there's plenty of that amongst the residents and staff! She seems to have a new zest for life - taking part in the armchair exercise classes, enjoying day trips out, quizzes etc. it's wonderful to see my mum back to her old self.
My mother has recently become a resident after moving from another care home. After only 3 weeks I see an improvement in her mobility and general interest in life. The management and carers that I have come into contact with have all been excellent, from the process of moving in and then assessment of my mother's care to the general day-to-day interaction. I feel very confident that my mother is in the best hands.
The home is always clean. Staff are always smiling. Lots of activities going on.
Mum has been a resident here since September 2020, prior to that she was in sheltered care and was struggling with every day life to the determent of her health. Since she has been at Russell Churcher she has become much happier and at ease, the environment is wonderful, the home is lovely and clean and bright, the food good and the staff are absolutely wonderful, they all care so much and make you so welcome. We are really glad we got mum into Russell Churcher and can not think of a better residential care home for her. I would like to take this opportunity to say a great big heartfelt thank you to all the staff for making mum so welcome and ensuring she feels at home. I would not hesitate on recommending this care home for anyone's loved one.
My mother has recently become a resident and has taken a few weeks to settle into the home routine. She seems much more relaxed and has substance to her day now after living with Covid on her own for the past year. Having been struck down by a stroke, she really needs the support she is receiving now, both mentally and physically. The threat of another stroke or TIA cannot be discounted, so to have 24hr support is a great relief to both my brother and I. From my short visits I am always greeted by smiling faces and a good sense of humour by the staff. Drop in's by the staff are always cheery and caring. All in all I am glad my mother is being cared for by staff at Russell Churcher Court.
