View Full Details of Quayside Care HomeMy wife spent 550 days in your home with severe physical and cognitive difficulties which required 24/7 care. She was confined to bed and was unable to perform her basic needs. Above all she required tender loving care and that was what she was always given. Great attention was given to her personal hygiene and clothing. Throughout her entire stay I never once thought of making a complaint of any sort. I will always be happy to recommend your home.
My mother died two days ago and she was a resident there for about 18 months. She was well looked after by the carers and nurses and in fact by all the staff. I recommend the home 100% without any problem. She was treated with respect dignity by everyone. Its a huge step to put any member of a family into full time care but quayside will take away any fears of this, they will look after the family member like they were there own family. I would not hesitate or recommend this home.. I was with my mum when she died at quayside and it was very peaceful and so comforting to know that even after she passed on, this was completed and done with so much peace and love afterwards.. Thankyou to all the staff, nurses, carers, laundry staff, cleaners, maintenance staff, I knew them all my name as I was up there 6 days a week.. Can't fault anyone.. Thankyou so much for all your love and respect you gave me and mum daily. Xx
Although there is an outside area with access from doors in the communal area, residents are never allowed out there (it is fenced and secure). This means that the residents get very little opportunity for fresh air and sunlight and spend most of their time between the communal area and their rooms. Activities for the residents are limited. There is a shed that they sometimes get taken to if the weather is nice where they can sit outside but this isn't often. The room is satisfactory but not great (drawers are wonky and don't open and close properly etc). The staff are great. Very friendly and patient with the residents.
My dad was admitted to Quayside in November 2022 and I admit I was nervous as I wasn't sure about handing over care to strangers. However, the care he has received has been great and the staff have been wonderful with him as he can be grumpy, to say the least. I am always called if anything is wrong with Dad and what is being done to help him. I could not have asked for better care for him and the staff made it easy for me to relax knowing he is in a safe place.
Since my dad moved to Quayside he has come on brilliantly, he loved being in the day room with as he says (his mates) which I love as it means he feels safe. His health has improved and he has gained some of the weight which he lost in the hospital. The care he receives is first class the staff are all so friendly he likes them all. If he needs anything they will get it for him. The staff are very good to him and they are good to us as a family they listen to us if we make a request for my dad they do it right away no waiting. It makes me so happy to know he is so well looked after and he is happy there too. Thank you for all the TLC he receives from every member of staff.
My experience at the Quayside Care Home has been great. The residents and staff are all friendly.
Generally my experience of Dad's support/care has been very positive over the 5 months or so he has been here. The staff are largely welcoming and supportive. I have found the management to be very approachable and empathetic. A special shout out to the well-being team who make a huge effort to involve residents in appropriate activities.
Mum loves her room. The staff are all great. All staff happy to help.
My dad came to Quayside in January 2024 and I couldn't be happier with his care. The facilities are lovely and well kept and the staff are fantastic, nothing is a problem and they do their very best every day for all residents. I wish I had found this place sooner, couldn't ask/recommend higher!
All the staff we have met are always so lovely and offering help.
My uncle received excellent care at Quayside Care Home. The staff and manager were so caring and friendly. Nothing was ever a problem and the communication was great. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.
The care home is amazing. The staff and management are very friendly and approachable. My auntie has settled in here very well and feels very at home. The staff all go above and beyond, and I could not be any happier. I have spoken to the manager on a few instances and gave me all the reassurance I needed when my auntie came in as I was very apprehensive only because I had never done this before. Quayside is an excellent home.
The service provided at Quayside Care Home was second to none. During a stressful, emotional, challenging time, myself and my family were supported and were safe in the knowledge that my mother was receiving the highest level of care. The standard of food has increased immensely, and the staff were lovely, including management!
Very happy with the service at Quayside. Staff are very friendly and attentive and always on hand to help. No complaints at all. She is very happy here and has settled in well.
All the staff do an amazing job of looking after my mum. I can't fault Quayside at all. The management team are great and very approachable. The food is great thanks to their amazing chef.
My gran has settled in well to the care home, all the staff are very caring and go above and beyond, food is very good with plenty of choices. My gran's room is kept very clean due to the hard-working housekeeping staff. There is always lots of activity on to keep my gran occupied, overall I am very happy with Quayside.
My choice of a mood board is Raspberry. My overall experience is staff are excellent, the bedrooms are very poor, badly need doing and to be told that only two bedrooms are being done is absolutely ridiculous, something needs to be done to them and done very soon, they are so depressing. More meetings are needed about food, information on everything to do with what is going on in the care home.
Happy with care provision. My husband is always clean, tidy and well-dressed and appears happy although he can't tell me. The staff are attentive and when necessary medical attention was quickly called in. The entertainment team work hard to entertain the residents. The proposed refurbishment fell short, not making bedrooms a priority and the proposition of only two being done will cause an avalanche of complaints from relatives.
Mum has been in Quayside for six weeks. She is now more settled. The care is good, she is well cared for. Mum enjoys her meals. Activities are varied and Mum enjoys taking part, especially music and art. Family and friends are made welcome.
The food is good - plenty there if you want it (my aunt's words). The nurses are all nice - they take time to talk and to ask how they are, the staff are lovely and hardworking - make sure they get washed. They get a hot bath at night when they want it. They get a game of bingo and there are prizes - the staff tell them what they've got and they get to choose - my aunt got a magnifying glass. They give them a cup of tea - they're very good. My view is that my aunt has never been so contented in the last twenty years. My four cousins all agree and wish to commend you all for your hard work on her behalf. Thank you.
