Milford Manor Gardens, Salisbury, SP1 2RN
View Full Details of Milford ManorAll staff are friendly and helpful and I feel my Stepdad is being well cared for here. His room is clean and spacious but doesn't have his own ensuite within it, which would have been better. He is fairly able bodied so I believe he's able to take himself to the bathroom along the hallway. He appears clean and dressed appropriately.
My husband's care is excellent. The staff are friendly, well trained, very caring and most notably patient with everyone that I can see. I am informed when anything is relevant to the care and I feel confident that everything possible is being done to help my husband.
The care home staff are truly dedicated to making the lives of their residents as safe as possible. Although the single rooms are basic they are clean and comfortable. The main lounge, dining room and conservatory are also exceptionally clean, warm and welcoming. Refreshments are available throughout the day for residents and their visitors. Varied, nutritious cooked meals are provided including fresh fruit daily. I cannot praise the staff enough.
The entire staff are very committed to providing the highest quality of care for the residents.
Mum is CHC funded so we are struggling to move her out. They did not treat Mum's very badly infected toes. She falls regularly and even ended up in hospital overnight with a concussion. She has lost a great deal of weight. When I visit she is usually inappropriately dressed to be taken out. Her things go missing regularly.
The staff have been excellent and thorough during the COVID epidemic and communication has been first class. The home has been patient and considerate when we were sorting out the resident troublesome families.
I am confident that my mum is being well cared for at Milford Manor. Staff are thoughtful and caring and they respond well to any concerns. The management have kept us updated with clear communications about Covid measures.
My wife has lewy body dementia and has been in Milford Manor care home since January 2021. The care and treatment that my wife receives at the home has been excellent. Her room is clean and of a reasonable size with a pleasant view into the garden. Arrangements for chiropody and personal care (e.g. hairdresser, manicure etc.) are made in a timely fashion and reasonably priced. I am contacted in good time if my wife has an accident and the circumstances explained. She is always checked over for any injuries and put on 72 hours surveillance if she might have suffered an internal injury (e.g. concussion). I am able to visit and have video calls with my wife at regular times so I can maintain a good level of contact. Overall my experience of Milford Manor has been very positive and I have been satisfied with the care provided to my wife at the home. I also feel comfortable that I can contact the home at any time to enquire how my wife is doing and have a phone chat with her most days.
I find the staff friendly and caring. The atmosphere is calm and the facilities are outstanding. The level of staff training is excellent and is ongoing. My relative I feel is in the best place for their condition, receiving care that I was unable to carry on giving due to work constraints. The staff contact me at work or home if there is anything they feel I need to know about my relatives, such as GP visits and sickness. The home is preparing for a full refurbishment of all the residential rooms, and in communal areas, the carpets are being replaced, where possible, with laminate flooring to ease cleaning.
My husband is now having care as he is bed-bound. He has a morphine patch on his shoulder to reduce back pain that paracetamol no longer is enough for. He eats well, food is pureed and fed to him by a carer, who is very careful and understanding of his health problems. Not able to partake in any of the many activities.
I find all staff easy to converse with, kind and thoughtful to my concerns if any. The care of my husband, in my opinion, comes second to none.
This home is always a pleasure to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My mother has been there nearly 2 years and is very well looked after.
When visiting the home we have always been made welcome. My father has always seemed well cared for. On a couple of occasions, he has had a fall and we have always been kept well informed of his progress.
The diet for my Mum had been dramatically altered for the better. Mum is vegetarian. Soya is used (for example) and vegetarian jelly is being provided too as a sweet treat. Thank you to the chef!
