View Full Details of Broadmead ResthomeCannot fault Broadmead since my dad moved in, always treated with kindness and respect, staff are very professional and efficient, nothing seems too much trouble. We are kept up to date if there are any issues, not they there are many.
My wife has only been at Broadmead Resthome a short time but the staff are very caring and keep me up to date, she can be difficult at times. When I call to see her, they always seem to know where she is. All the staff are pleased to help at all times and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Thank you all.
Our friend has been at Broadmead Resthome since November 2024 and is gradually settling in. We have been so impressed with the care given by all members of staff, encouraging her to join in when she feels able but equally happy for her to spend time in her room bringing meals to her if necessary. It's great to follow Broadmead on social media and see all the activities that the staff organise for the residents. The home is spotlessly clean, the food served is excellent and the birthday cake made for our friend was superb and much appreciated, especially as it was the Christmas party day so a lot going on for the staff. The management is very good at keeping us informed regarding her medical care. Walking through the front door, one immediately senses a very happy and relaxed atmosphere. I can highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a home for their loved one.
Mum has been at Broadmead Resthome for just over three months and has settled in extremely well. The staff are so kind, caring and always appear so jolly! Mum's participation in the numerous activities has increased significantly due to the encouragement of the fabulous staff. Whenever I visit mum, always tells me that all the staff are so lovely and she is very happy. I am very impressed with all aspects of Broadmead. I always get a warm and friendly welcome whenever I visit and always informed on mum's welfare. I feel very reassured that Broadmead are caring for mum in a kind, compassionate manner and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend it.
Dad was a resident for around two years and was looked after amazingly - when he passed away last December, not only did they treat him with the respect and dignity he deserved, they were so caring toward myself and my siblings, giving us as much time alone with Dad as we needed. Dad was admitted to the care home towards the end of lockdown, it was very rarely we were told we couldn't visit and they made sure that all their residents were kept safe. The carers are all fantastic, very empathetic towards residents' needs and would let us know as soon as possible if there were any medical concerns or problems. The food was good quality and there was always lots of activities and entertainment.
Mum has been very happy at Broadmead Resthome in the three years she's been a resident. The staff are fabulous and look after her so well. She is very fond of them! Mum clearly feels safe and cared for at Broadmead which has been a great consolation knowing she is in good hands.
My father is looked after extremely well. Whilst frail, he likes to walk, and the staff are always provide a steady hand if needed. The carers are all wonderful and let us know immediately if there is a medical concern or issue so we are always informed. Whenever we ask him if he is happy the answer is always a resounding yes.
The Broadmead Resthome team are fantastic. They care passionately for their residents with respect and dignity. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone cared for as if they were family. My father has been there for a few years and he is happy and settled. The team provide brilliant birthday and anniversary celebrations and are happy to welcome the whole family. We really appreciate their support.
Went to visit my mum on the 7th of July 2024. My sister and I were both blown away by the attention they gave my mum and us as relatives. They were so kind, and went above and beyond our expectations. It has enabled us to feel safe knowing Mum is being cared for by not just professionals but empathetic and caring professionals. Well done Broadmead staff.
My father was a resident at Broadmead Resthome for around three years. From the day I visited when searching for a care home, the place felt like a home, not a business. The staff throughout his time their were compassionate, caring and helpful. In three years, our family had some real ups and downs with Covid and various issues with Dad's deteriorating health. At all times we were informed and updated of what was happening. The food was of good quality, lots of interactive entertainment (just check the social media page for a view) and a smile when you were arriving and leaving. With all the challenges the staff have to deal with in a care home, they have always done a great job in my opinion.
Broadmead Resthome is excellent in every aspect of cleanliness and care. My mum has been with them for two years this month, l feel she is getting the best care from the staff who are kind, caring and compassionate and treat Mum as they are their family member. There is always something going on at Broadmead, whether it's singing and dancing dog visits or the local vicar. As a family, we are always treated with a wave and a smile from the staff. The staff encourage everyone to get involved with day-to-day activities. They have the paper read to them, they get involved in the village and local celebrations. (They are always celebrating something, they like a good party). I feel Mum is in the best place as Broadmead meets all Mum's care needs with compassion and kindness.
Dad has been at Broadmead Resthome for two years now. He settled in quickly and it has been a huge relief to have the confidence that he is safe and well looked after. At times, his behaviour has been challenging due to his dementia but the carers are unfailingly patient and kind. I am so impressed by the staff who are always friendly, smiling and really caring. The home is well-run by the management team and communication is good.
Mum has been a resident at Broadmead Rest Home for two years this month, my family and I feel very secure in the knowledge that Mum is being cared for to a very high standard, she is safe and all her needs are met, the staff are all extremely kind and caring, they are always very encouraging and very often put a song to all Mums needs. The Broadmead offers a wide range of daily activities and very often has visiting acts the staff encourage all residents to participate, it's so lovely to see pictures via the social media which are kept up to date. We always get a warm and friendly welcome at the Broadmead when we pop in to visit Mum. I would have absolutely no compunction in highly recommending Broadmead Rest Home. Thank you everyone at The Broadmead Rest Home.
My mum is very well cared for at Broadmead Rest Home and I feel very reassured she is safeguarded in a lovely environment. All the managers and staff I have encountered and interacted with are very welcoming and helpful. I am kept informed and updated if there are any changes or situations that arise. I am also able to call and speak to Mum easily. I feel safe in the knowledge that I can call or email the management team and they get back to me very quickly. Broadmead seems to me to be a modern, bright spacious accommodation with plenty of room to roam for the residents. The staff are very attentive and have a good rapport with the residents but are also good with us as family members too. All in all, I would highly recommend Broadmead Rest Home to anyone.
Mum has resided at Broadmead Resthome for just over a year now, and I have nothing but praise for how she been treated and looked after during this time. All of the staff are consistently kind and welcoming. There are always activities going on to keep the residents' minds busy and active, and it is great for relatives to be able to see these via the social media page, which is kept up to date with lots of photos. It's such a relief to know that Mum is safe and looked after at Broadmead.
My father is being looked after so well. I feel confident he is getting the best care for his dementia. The care workers are very friendly and caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. They listen to my requests and the needs of my father.
Everyone was kind, friendly and helpful. My husband was able to mix freely with people who did not have a condition the same as him, and this was one of the reasons I wanted him to go to Broadmead Resthome. It is a smaller home than others I had looked at and is more like a family atmosphere.
It is run like a cosy, loving family home. The care the residents receive here is extraordinary, treated with consideration, dignity, kindness and respect they feel valued and listened to. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter to them like having their nails painted or on their birthday being surprised by a dream. Recently an array of tractors visited one resident. The food is outstanding a varied menu with a chef always happy to russell up something to tempt them individually. The management and care team do genuinely care for the residents and can’t do enough to help them in any way. Records are kept meticulously on the computer. When visiting they are able to tell you exact details of your relative's day and what is eaten and drunk. Residents are kept very busy with an incredible array of activities, often cleverly designed with their dementia in mind. It is lovely just to relax in the knowledge that your relative is loved and so well cared for in such a homely environment.
Mainly happy with the overall care and support that this home gives. Sometimes communication can be rather challenging, me understanding what some of the carers are saying due to their accents. The carers do show understanding and care to the residents, nothing is too much trouble. They always remain calm in all situations.
My mother has been at Broadmead for a year and has settled in well. The staff are caring, kind and patient. They always answer my questions and contact me if there is a concern or issue. There are many activities available and surprisingly she has joined in with some of them and enjoyed herself.
