View Full Details of Cedarhurst Lodge Care HomeI visited my sister and had to ring the bell to gain entry for approximately 10 minutes, one care staff member, have yet to see any nursing staff when visiting and care staff are thin on the ground. Urine smell constantly there and the place is unclean. In a room facing my sister, the floor was full of cigarette ends and dust and a total mess. I find the care home very uninviting, no friendly atmosphere. I'm sad to say that I can't think of one positive thing. Overall very uncared for place for visitors and most definitely residents.
I have been visiting Cedarhurst Lodge for a number of years now, as I, along with other members of the clergy, take a monthly church service. The residents are always immaculately dressed and are always neat and tidy. I have even seen the staff change someone's jumper because of a stain on it. The staff all appear attentive towards the residents. Even though they hardly engage or even speak to any anyone you can see they recognise the staff. The home is always lovely, clean and tidy and smells fresh when you first enter into the unit. The residents are a lovely bunch and seem to enjoy the services as they all sing along.
On my visit on Saturday 29/2/2020, the nursing home was extremely smelly and somewhat dirty. One of the resident's rooms was covered in cigarette stubs, ash, water and complete disarray. My sister's room had lots of cups lying around the sink area and her room extremely dusty. Some staff are very unfriendly and when asked a question, you only get a one-word answer. My sister herself has said on numerous occasions she is very unhappy and sad in Cedarhurst.
The food is lovely, everyone is very helpful.
I am happy to live here. Everyone is very friendly and content.
I have found my time at Cedarhurst Lodge very enjoyable and fun.
I have been visiting Cedarhurst Lodge over the last few years and I have found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming.
I first visited Cedarhurst in 2009 when I was looking for a care home for my mother. I had good vibes about it. The staff were and still are, dedicated and friendly. I visit each week to chat with the residents the rewards are wonderful. I would recommend a son/daughter to visit Cedarhurst if looking for a safe and happy environment for their loved ones.
