View Full Details of Croft Manor Residential Care HomeMy husband was a resident at Croft Manor Care Home for the last six months of his life and he received the best care I could have wanted. I was allowed to visit at any time and was always kept up to date regarding any problems and any suggestions I put forward to help him were acted on swiftly. I was allowed to stay with him 24 hours a day for the last few days of his life. The food was excellent and tailored to residents' individual needs. All of the carers were extremely kind both to my husband and myself and very professional in their work. I would highly recommend this home.
I feel that my friend is safe in the care of Croft Manor and his overall health has improved with the regular meals etc. I travel from London to visit my friend and if the visit is near mealtime I am sometimes offered food which is much appreciated. The manager and staff are always available.
I have nothing but absolute respect for all the staff at Croft Manor my dad seems happy and I know his needs are being met. I am kept informed of my dad's health. The staff are polite and friendly. All staff make my dad's visitors feel welcome at all times.
Overall, Croft Manor is a good care home, very understanding and caring staff, good food, clean and the surroundings are lovely. Communication between care home and family on medical and health issues could be improved. One bugbear is even though Mum's clothes are labelled, every time we go in she has someone else’s clothes on, her clothes and underwear are nowhere to be seen, we spend a lot of money getting lovely clothes for her to find they’ve disappeared or someone else is wearing them, so whoever does the laundry needs to be on top of this, how hard can it be to read a label and put it in the right pile! Management are always happy to chat and help with any problem and to make things as easy as possible whatever the issue is. All the carers that work here are kind, caring and lovely, Mum is very happy here.
Many thanks for the opportunity to review the performance of the Croft Manor Residential Care Home. I have found the staff to be caring and enthusiastic, always willing to be helpful to visitors who may be unsure of what to expect. every aspect of what you do is always so much appreciated, regards.
My brother has lived in Croft Manor for 4-5 years. He is happy and well looked after despite his condition deteriorating. All the staff are friendly and helpful. They keep me informed as I live a good distance from him. I recommend the home. Well done.
My partner and I chose Croft Manor for my uncle. We needed to find an alternative care home for him because the funding was discontinued for his previous nursing home placement. I was happy with the CQC report, the food hygiene rating and previous reviews. We liked the architecture of the building. His room was freshly decorated, with a new sink, carpet, furniture and TV. It already had an ensuite toilet. The managers are very friendly and the registered manager visited my uncle to complete an assessment which was very positive. I have received positive feedback from both my uncle and the home who are both happy. I have visited my uncle on a number of occasions and am always made welcome.
My mother has been staying at Croft Manor Residential Care Home all through the pandemic. The manager and her team have been really great throughout all this time, and looked after my mother really well, and done their utmost to keep everyone in Croft Manor safe. It's a really good home, and I can definitely recommend it.
Myself and my family were really anxious about putting mum into care but we can see that we have done the best for her. Mum’s health has improved greatly and she is happy to be there and regards it as her home. The staff are always very friendly and helpful . The safety of the residents for Covid is excellent. We are really pleased with all they do.
My lovely Dad moved to Croft Manor Care Home in July, when his dementia became too much for Mum. Sadly due to Covid-19 restrictions visiting was limited to only a few in the garden. Dad sadly passed away after 3 months. We as a family were very happy with Dad's care, the staff are all so friendly and caring, due to the lack of visiting they answered all of our many questions over the telephone with empathy and kindness. Lovely home with great caring staff. I cannot comment on facilities or activities as due to Covid-19 restrictions we could not enter the building.
I visited Croft Manor weekly almost without exception for 2yrs 3months - 2018 was erratic due to personal reasons. My day for visiting varied greatly but on no occasion did I find the home or her room dirty or unsafe. The staff were extremely efficient, friendly and supportive of any need. The food was varied and of a high quality. In difficult times they do an amazing job. I would recommend them in an instant.
Mum has now been at Croft Manor for almost 3 years and since my last review over a year ago she has declined due to the progression of the dementia. However, the care she has received is second to none and has been adapted to suit her needs. The staff are amazing from the management to the maintenance, the food and the cleanliness cannot be faulted in any way. I would and have already recommended Croft Manor to other families.
My husband suffers from Parkinson's, after caring for him for 8 years I was finding it hard and was not coping very well. Croft Manor was suggested as a home where my husband would be happy and would be very well looked after. We visited the home and were greeted by the friendly staff. There was a warm, homely atmosphere throughout the home and my husband has settled in very well. Thank you to you all at Croft Manor.
This is my up to date review. Nothing has changed my original opinion of Croft Manor. My mother is very contented in the home. Mealtimes are looked forward to, as the food is first class. I would recommend this home to anyone, it is so homely. Visitors are welcomed by the friendly staff. A hairdresser and also a chiropodist visit regularly, which my mother takes advantage of, free manicures too.
My mother has been a resident of Croft Manor now since June 2017 and despite her advanced years and having a long-term illness, is still able to enjoy an excellent quality of life with the thoughtful care and treatment received. We have found over the months all of the staff extremely competent and approachable, enabling us to develop a sound relationship with them. The quality of catering, care and support is second to none and we can always rely on a prompt update if there are any issues with Mum's health and well being, that are not run of the mill. I am really pleased that I chose this particular care home for her, and have every confidence in their continuing ability to look after my mother.
My mum and dad have lived here for 3 years. Mum has received excellent care and support to help her cope with dad's recent death. The home has a comfortable, traditional feel to it and it's within easy wheelchair access to shops, cafes and pubs. Most of the Carers have been there over the 3 years, providing personal, consistent care. Whenever medical care is needed the staff arrange it quickly and keep me informed of any incidents. Overall, I am very satisfied with the care provided for my parents.
The stressful and upsetting experience of having to move my mother into full-time care was made so much easier by the professional and caring personnel at Croft Manor Residential Care Home, they could not have been more helpful or kind. This kindness also extends to whoever this family visits, when a warm welcome is always received at any time of the day with the offer of a cup of tea. This welcoming atmosphere instils a confidence that she is in safe hands and will always be cared for.
I have always found Croft Manor very clean and the place smells lovely, usually due to the cooking in the kitchen. The staff are always helpful and cheerful. The place is run by a very efficient manager and is run very smoothly with an industrious staff. The care is wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. My mother us well looked after, always clean and tidy. I have seent he activity rota and there is a wide range of events going on every week.
My husband suffers with dementia. After 2 weeks in hospital I realised I couldn't cope any more. My husband is 87 and I am 85. My daughter chose 3 care homes and then she took me to look at them. She took me to look at Croft Manor first and I told her I didn't want to see the others, my mind was made up. It is such a lovely homely place and the staff are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble for them.
Reaction to sensory mat alarm - within seconds. Constant attention to toilet needs in a very sensitive manner. A constant supply of hot and cold drinks. Handyman personalised room in an hour or so to residents satisfaction. Staff introduced themselves within hours. Immediate and warm welcome to visitors. Staff working as a team. The building is very suitable and has been sensibly and sensitively adapted to light, bright and airy with aspects over the garden. Service and care very personalised.
