View Full Details of Barchester Queens Court Care HomeMy father has had respite care at Queens Court twice and both times the standard of care has been outstanding. The facilities are fantastic. The bedrooms are safe, comfortable, homely and always clean. The food, restaurant, lounges and even the corridors have been thoughtfully and beautifully designed - to encourage engagement, safety and mobility. There are daily activities, which my father participated in - much to my surprise! But the most wonderful thing about Queens Court are the staff. They are so caring, and kind, and patient, and smiley! It made my father (and me) feel warm, welcome and in very safe hands. I was very anxious about how my father would respond to respite care, but he settled in very quickly and enjoyed this time at Queens Court. It has a been positive for all the family, and has substantially reduced everyone's stress. Thank you.
Very nice. Clean. Good nurses. Friendly staff. Attentive staff. Safe environment. Nice management.
I phoned Queens Court on short notice. I needed to get my sister in a quality care facility since her health was declining and I live in a different country. The manager took me on a tour. I was impressed with the cleanliness and cheeriness of the facility. They have a lovely dining area and a full menu to chose from. I liked that they have an activity coordinator and activity plans are created for even those that are bedridden. The next day the manager evaluated my sister at the hospital. Two days later my sister spent her first night at Queens Court. I was concerned what my sister would say after her first night. Well she told me "I love this place". I was so happy. Now she refers to the facility as the hotel she is staying in. Thank you the manager and the entire staff for making this a positive experience.
Very good care for my friend's with dignity, respect and kindness.
The General Manager is exemplary and all the staff are exceptional and extremely caring and compassionate. The home is very clean and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. There are so many wonderful activities on offer. My friend is very happy at Queens Court and I would recommend the home without hesitation or reservation.
Dad has been a resident since the end of December. He suffers with dementia and other conditions but all the staff, across every role, have been kind, caring and helpful to Dad and ourselves in the wider family.
Well managed. Kind. Responsive to family.
My cousin moved into Barchester Queens Court Care Home a month ago, after 7 weeks in hospital and in a very poor state of health. The home was very helpful over her move and have cared for her extremely competently since then. She has been putting on weight and is getting stronger by the day. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and seem happy to accommodate her quirks and needs.
The manager and all the wonderful staff at Queens Court arranged a very happy party for my husband and 17 of his family on the occasion of his 94th birthday yesterday. Delicious cake, delectable buffet, superb decor (with balloons, sparkles and tinsel). An amazing time was had by all, both old (94) and young (18 months).
My mother has been at Queens Court Care Home since September 2024. Myself and my husband have been very reassured since she moved in. All the staff are friendly and kind, and treat my mum with respect at all times. They keep her safe and offer her lots of activities, which they encourage her to join in with. There are regular visits from doctors/nurses and they are very aware of any health problems which may arise. The communication is great, from phone calls, emails and photos, to verbal updates. The food, snacks and cakes are fabulous.
I am extremely happy with the care my mum was given during the eight months she lived at Barchester Queens Court Care Home. She was not always the easiest person to look after, because of the nature of her dementia, but every member of staff, at all levels of the organisation, treated her (and me) with kindness and compassion - as well as considerable skill. Mum died peacefully this week and I am so grateful for the Queens Court nurses and carers who supported us both through this very sad time.
Based on the reviews, I made an emergency call to the care home a week ago. The manager took the call and patiently answered all concerns which ticked every box for my father. She then moved mountains to facilitate his move in less than 48 hours. A week later, we cannot believe his progress! Hospital care in a homely, caring, compassionate family setting.
The staff are friendly, kind, attentive and always smiling. The atmosphere is homely. I can see my mother is receiving the best care. I recommend Barchester Queens Court Care Home highly.
I felt very confident and safe as soon as I arrived after my stay in hospital after operation. I had previous experience of this care home and some of the staff remembered me and it shows good management that some staff were still there 9 years later. Food was excellent and all staff were pleasant and knowledgeable and my stay was very uplifting and I felt much better after my stay. Glad I was there!!
I can't imagine a more wonderful place. In Barchester Queens Court Care Home I feel at home. The food is delicious.
My mother (and previously, my father) has been a resident for three years now. To feel she is safe and lovingly and sympathetically looked after is priceless. She is safe, very comfortable, treated with dignity and kindness. The staff are everything. When we visit, we feel we are popping in to see Mum at her home, not some facility. All her needs are met and she is happy.
A most enjoyable experience. The surroundings are very restful and interesting, the food is delicious but most importantly, the staff are all charming, caring and understanding. I am almost glad that I had an accident and therefore, had the opportunity to stay at Barchester Queens Court Care Home, it was as good as having a holiday!
Moving my father into Barchester Queens Court Care Home was the best decision I could have made for him and I highly recommend the home for a friend or loved one. I live in Melbourne so it was imperative for my own health and well-being to find a home that could offer my father impeccable care, support, valued respect, integrity, individuality and compassion. I transferred my father, a prolific artist and previous head of art department, to Queens Court in May 2023. There he was always well cared for, kempt and clean-shaven (something that was very important to him). His meals were appetising and wholesome and he was offered stimulation and connection. The managers are approachable and compassionate with high standards which filter throughout the home and the staff are respectful, caring and friendly. I am eternally grateful for the communication and care he received during his final year at Queens Court. The dignity and patience that was shown made such a world of difference to his final days. Thank you team Queens Court.
On an open day, I visited this care home which is on the same road as my home. I was impressed and volunteered to provide some community entertainment for the residents. All the staff are happy, caring, intelligent and skilled, managed by a very competent manager. The atmosphere is excellent for the residents who are very contented and well looked after. Special efforts are made for entertainment and outings for the residents by a great team of entertainment staff. There are three professional chefs who cook all the excellent meals, cakes and biscuits from scratch!
