View Full Details of Ashley CourtI would like to say that since my husband has been with you I cannot thank you enough for the kindness and care you have shown to him. All the carers who are looking after him are amazing. So kind and nothing seems a bother. Their understanding is quite exceptional. A huge thanks to all involved.
Since being in respite in August and obtaining a full time place in November, our friend has been extremely well cared for. I find the staff caring and cooperative with a professional but friendly attitude . There are many activities for residents to take part in and the outdoor trips have proved a success for our friend. She is extremely happy there and enjoys the food and company of others. We have no complaints at all and very happy with the level of care provided.
Excellent, compassionate care for my mum by all staff, coupled with fantastic support for the whole family. Food is of a high standard, with a great choice, and entertainment options are carefully thought out. The environment is pleasant and garden areas are welcoming.
Ashley Court and it's staff continue to deliver an excellent care experience for my mother in law who has significant health issues. From the welcome from the receptionist to the helpful , respectful friendly and professional responses from the nursing/care/activity/domestic/ auxiliary and management team there is nearly always a very positive atmosphere evident. This has been seen both during the day and evening and is even more commendable given the wide range of need within the resident group. Two particular strengths are the lovely, caring, compassionate and engaging manner everyone, regardless of position, has interacted with my mother in law and the excellent communication links both by phone and when visiting, especially with the nursing staff. We continue to be impressed with the motivation of staff to encourage her to join in activities, especially as regards outings in the minibus.
My wife has been a resident since 2022 At present her dementia is fast deteriating The management are completely in control, and know all the residents by their Christian name Their leadership is clear to observe, and they arrange up to date training for all their staff The management also visit and chat to the residents on a daily basis The senior nurse treats the residents with compassion and explains in full what medication is prescribed and what effect it has on their condition These nurses are very proactive in their duties The carers not only have great compassion, but also patience and understanding of the residents condition and care requirements My good lady has a good relation with the management and stall which assisted greatly in her settling in to a very well operated nursing home I would have no hesitation in recommending Ashley Court to all looking for a nursing home for their loved ones
I can't speak highly enough of Ashley Court Nursing Home and the incredible care they provide for my mum. The staff are warm, friendly, and always engage with her brilliantly, making her feel valued and comfortable. It's reassuring to see how well they look after her, always treating her with kindness and respect. My dad is there on a daily basis and all staff make him feel very welcome and always take the time to have a conversation with him. The home itself has lovely surroundings, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere and the rooms are spotless. I'm truly grateful to the entire team for their dedication and support. Highly recommended!
Mum moved to Ashley Court mid January and the care taken by all of the staff has helped mum settle in and feel comfortable. I would like to thank the managers and the two ladies for their help negotiating the paperwork and making it as straightforward as possible. As a family we are delighted that mum is in such a caring home.
From entering at reception all staff are polite & friendly. Communication is excellent regarding any concerns they have re your relative/ family member. Activities are great....varied something for all residents. Open days ...good staff to relative relations. Cleanliness can't fault. Highly recommend!
Ashley court has a warm and friendly atmosphere. All staff are very polite and always happy to help. Mums room very homely as she was able to bring a few things from home. Rooms are spotless and finished with nice quality furnishings throughout the home. Lots to keep you busy has a really good activity programme weekly bus trips which mum loves. Always have themed activities as in burns night, Easter, Halloween many more. They get a very varied menu which mums seems happy with. Can't praise all the staff highly enough.
The care that my mother has received at Ashley Court over these last 12 months has been simply wonderful. Everyone invested with her has been incredibly kind and patient. She is looking better than ever and it is very evident that she is being extremely well cared for.
From the moment you walk into Ashley Court, you get a warm welcome from the receptionist and if you meet any staff you are always greeted with a smile. At this stage in my mum’s care, I am very happy with how it is being managed. I find the staff caring, pleasant accessible and communication is very good.
Mum has been a resident for over two and a half years. The standard of nursing care she has received has been excellent. Mum's clothing and bedding are always spotless as is her room. All the staff are kind and friendly to both my mum and I. There is a nice atmosphere in the home. Mum has mobility issues and can no longer feed herself, again, the personal care has been excellent, and the staff will chat with Mum during the personal care, which is nice. Overall, I am so pleased that Mum is at Ashley Court.
My mum has been in the home for 2 years now. Previously we had used the home for respite care, so when she moved in full time the staff all knew her. The care mum receives is excellent and the staff are incredibly patient.
This has to be one of the best care homes. My mother has been at Ashley Court for 18 months, and the level of care has been outstanding. The staff are outstanding, the rooms are excellent, and the activities are perfect and involving. Staff are very accessible and inclusive.
Mum spent the last three years of her life at Ashley Court Care Home. She was very well cared for during that period, particularly as she became less mobile and required considerable assistance. I would like to comment, particularly, on her end-of-life care. The staff were really wonderful - they managed to give us privacy yet attended to Mum in a very caring manner. It takes great skill to help both residents and relatives have such a comforting experience of a loved one's death. It felt like a very natural and peaceful end to a very long, well-lived life.
On our first visit to Ashley Court, we found it reassuring that time was taken to have a conversation that focused on Mum as a person, along with her care needs. It gave us confidence that we had found the home-from-home environment that we wanted. Her room was freshly decorated, and the type of chair that would ensure she would not be confined to bed was available. Mum has been a resident since August 2022. Although not able to participate in all activities, she has enjoyed being involved when possible. Especially being able to maintain the tradition of a birthday afternoon tea, by family being able to set this up in the garden room. Nursing care and support is excellent, and we are notified of any changes. There is great continuity of staff, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. It is comforting to know Mum is safe, content and well cared for. Delighted to have found such a lovely place where family can spend quality time together.
My father has been a resident for six months now. He needs a high level of care and attention and we are very pleased with the care he receives. The staff are always happy to chat to let you know how he is fairing and very quick to inform you if there is a problem. He is relaxed and contented which is a great benefit to the family.
My mother has been a resident at Ashley Court for a year. Since arriving she has had the most excellent care. She is physically challenged due to strokes and was bed bound for many months. The staff and management have been very pro-active in getting her physio and carrying out the programme given for her. She is now so improved she is able to sit in a special chair supported and go to other areas of the home. It is such a joy. Her personal needs are met with care and compassion too. Overall the nursing care and support she has received has been impeccable. My mother also has dementia to which the staff are sensitive and understanding too. There is always a choice for her whether it is to join in social events/activities or meals. The menus and food are of a high standard. All Staff and Management are all very friendly, approachable and very responsive to requests suggestions or queries. It's a lovely care home, and a comfort to me and my family that she is very well cared for.
My mum has been at Ashley Court for a year now, suffering from Dementia, among other things. The welcome she got was lovely. Her room was freshly renovated and immaculate and her name was on her door, which helped give her a sense of ownership. The nursing care is excellent with the staff being extremely vigilant to my mum's changing needs and about keeping me informed. The activities team are very encouraging when she is not in the mood to socialise and encourage her to join in the group activities and bus outings as much as possible, which she enjoys and benefits from immensely. I am always made to feel welcome and my opinion is sought regularly. I feel very much in partnership with the staff. There has been a great continuity of staff, which is important to my mum and myself.
The team at this care home have been together for over 20 years, which is reflected in the level of care at all levels. It appears to be a vocation for many, and my mum has been thrilled by the constant attention and interest in her. Previously, she sat at home and had little communication. The daily activities make this home seem like an all-inclusive hotel with a drinks trolley once a week and as much ice cream as you can eat. The bus trips each week also allow residents to get out and about. The decor is homely, which suits my mum, and the north-facing rooms have magnificent views.
