View Full Details of Hazeldene Residential Care HomeThere is only one word to describe Hazeldene - OUTSTANDING! The level of care shown to my nan is truly heart warming. Nothing is ever too much trouble, every member of staff is always happy. Whenever my sisters and I have a question, they always take the time with us. The food is fantastic (all fresh). My nan is safe, happy and content here. Thank you all so much.
My mother was admitted into Hazeldene Residential Care Home for a short while and then was admitted permanently as her care at home wasn't enough. She needed extra care in a residential home. This met her needs and her care there was excellent. The staff at the care home were superb. Thank you all at Hazeldene Residential Care Home.
I had a traumatic 6 months last year and nearly lost my mum after a bleed in the brain. When it became clear she had dementia and was no longer able to take care of herself, I was advised to have her admitted to Hazeldene. My mum's care is impeccable and I can go about my daily life knowing she is in safe hands. Staff and management alike do every task in a highly professional manner. I'm always informed of her condition, an excellent establishment.
I have two aunts in the home. One has been there for 18 months and the others aunt for 6 months. They get excellent care, all carers are happy and very caring. I honestly can't fault this care home. I know they are both safe and happy. The food is always excellent.
Hazeldene Care Home look after my nan she’s well looked after kept clean dressed nice fed well kept entertained all the staff are lovely she’s got a lovely room and have no complaints. My nan is 97 years old and she seems happy overall.
Mum has been living at Hazeldene since April. She was reluctant to give up her independence but could not be happier now. Her room is warm and cosy and she loves the food, especially the roast dinners. We are very impressed by the kind, understanding manner of all the staff towards the residents and by how quickly they got to know Mum's likes and dislikes. Mum likes to observe before she participates and we greatly appreciate how the staff gently encourage her to take part in the wide range of activities when she feels ready. Hazeldene was recommended to us by several family friends when we were looking for the right place for her and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Mum now refers to it as her house. Thank you.
So much has improved since my last visit. New flooring has been put in which brightens the place up and colourful pictures have been added to the walls. A newer bed has been provided which means my husband is now supported when he sits up in bed. Also, I noticed the bed was much more comfortable. I have always found the staff to be excellent and seem to manage my husband's rapid change of moods excellently. I do however wish there was somewhere downstairs for visiting as it is quite a palaver for the staff having to disturb and take my husband upstairs, when they are so busy, but I do understand space is limited. Thank you everybody.
A pleasant care home where residents are made to feel welcome and at home by all members of staff and of all departments. It is very clean and well run with a good homely feel. The staff are attentive, kind and most professional in their duties. The kitchens provide good plain meals and do the very best to meet the requirements of the individual. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hazeldene Residential Care Home to anyone having care needs for a loved family member.
Hazeldene Residential Care Home has looked after my uncle for two years now. He was admitted, as we thought, for his last months. The care and attention that he has been given has been amazing and two years on he is now walking and in good health. The home itself is spotless and the decorating is always being done.
When mum has to move from her previous home I had huge concerns. However, since the initial settling-in period Mum has come on in leaps and bounds and as she has dementia this is a very satisfactory situation.
Our aunt has flourished despite advanced dementia at Hazeldene Residential Care Home. It is a relief to know she is safe, warm and well fed on a daily basis. We are impressed by the daily activities and comfortable feel of the home. We are always met by smiling personable staff.
My mum was adamant she would never go into a care home and now she says that she never wants to leave! The care given, truly respecting her individuality and personal choice has been excellent. She is so comfortable and happy. Thank you all.
We are extremely happy with the way my mother is treated in the care home. The staff are kind and pleasant.
The care home is very good. My mother is more than happy there which puts my mind at rest knowing that she is being looked after. Although she spends most of her time in her room, the staff are always encouraging her to get out and meet other residents. Her room is small but perfectly adequate for her needs. She loves her smart speaker. The staff are all very friendly and supportive. I have no complaints at all.
I have been so impressed with the kindness and care of the staff. They have been so helpful during the lockdown and have accommodated our regular phone calls, behind the screen visits and now the visits in the room. It feels very safe, Covid test, forms filled and PPE before anyone can enter the premises. It has been a joy to see mum looking so happy and well. Thank you to the manager and her wonderful staff.
Hazeldene team have taken wonderful care of my late dad and now caring for my mum. The team are so hardworking and are so patient and kind to its residents and always ensuring the residents' dignity. Although this lockdown has been unbearable, keeping us from our loved ones, I always knew that Mum was receiving the best care as she is always happy and joins in the many activities, so this made being apart a lot easier. The team have done a marvellous job keeping covid out of the care home and being a family while we are unable to visit.
The Hazeldene team are always friendly and professional. The care for the residents has been amazing during the pandemic and they have always remained Covid free which shows the care and professional team they are.
All the staff at Hazeldene Residential Care Home are polite and helpful. My mother informs me that she is being cared for nicely. She also says that the food is good. The staff always keep me informed of any changes to routines or in my mother's condition. I have peace of mind that my mother is being looked after and treated well.
My 95-year-old mother moved to the home during the lockdown following a nasty fall at home and after we agreed I could no longer keep her safe at home, on my own. As a recently retired older person's mental health nursing professional/ senior manager for day hospital/inpatient/community services and trust lead serious incident investigator/trainer; you may understand I found the process of having to 'give up' caring for mum extremely difficult and distressing. However, the team at Hazeldene have made this transition for mum and me as easy as it could possibly be; offering the highest level of individual care, compassion and support for both of us. I now know we made the decision, (as difficult and upsetting as it was) at just the right time. Mum is settled, really enjoying life and 'blossoming' in the excellent individual care of the Hazeldene team. She is even showing great improvements in her mobility, which I couldn't be happier about. To say I have been impressed is, to put it mildly - I would describe mum's move as 'seamless' and her care as 'individual' which both of us are highly appreciative of.
I went to visit my mum and felt totally at ease.
